< Hiob 40 >
1 Afei Awurade buaa Hiob sɛ,
Yahweh continued to speak to Job; he said,
2 “Deɛ ɔne Otumfoɔ no wɔ asɛm no bɛtene ne so anaa? Ma deɛ ɔbɔ Onyankopɔn kwaadu no mmua no ɛ!”
“Should anyone who wishes to criticize try to correct the Almighty? He who argues with God, let him answer.”
3 Na Hiob buaa Awurade sɛ,
Then Job answered Yahweh and said,
4 “Mensɛ na memfata, ɛbɛyɛ dɛn na matumi anya mmuaeɛ? Mede me nsa memua mʼano.
“See, I am insignificant; how can I answer you? I put my hand over my mouth.
I spoke once, and I will not answer; indeed, twice, but I will proceed no further.”
6 Afei, Awurade firi ahum mu buaa Hiob sɛ,
Then Yahweh answered Job out of a fierce storm and said,
7 “Hyɛ wo ho den sɛ ɔbarima; mɛbisa wo nsɛm, na ɛsɛ sɛ wobua me.
“Now gird up your loins like a man, for I will ask you questions, and you must answer me.
8 “Wobɛka mʼatemmuo ho asɛm bɔne anaa? Wobɛbu me fɔ de abu wo ho bem?
Will you actually say that I am unjust? Will you condemn me so you may claim you are right?
9 Wowɔ abasa te sɛ Onyankopɔn deɛ, na wo nne bɛtumi abobom sɛ ne deɛ?
Do you have an arm like God's? Can you thunder with a voice like him?
Now clothe yourself in glory and dignity; array yourself in honor and majesty.
11 Hwie wʼabufuhyeɛ mmoroso no gu, hwɛ ɔhantanni biara na brɛ no ase,
Scatter around the excess of your anger; look at everyone who is proud and bring him down.
12 hwɛ ɔhantanni biara na si no fam na tiatia amumuyɛfoɔ so wɔ faako a wɔgyina hɔ.
Look at everyone who is proud and bring him low; trample down wicked people where they stand.
13 Sie wɔn nyinaa bɔ mu wɔ mfuturo mu; kata wɔn anim wɔ damena mu.
Bury them in the earth together; imprison their faces in the hidden place.
14 Na afei mʼankasa mɛgye atom sɛ wo ara wo basa nifa bɛtumi agye wo nkwa.
Then will I also acknowledge about you that your own right hand can save you.
15 “Hwɛ susono, deɛ meyɛɛ no kaa wo ho na ɔwe ɛserɛ te sɛ ɔnantwie.
Look now at the behemoth, which I made when I made you; he eats grass like an ox.
16 Hwɛ ahoɔden a ɔwɔ wɔ nʼasene mu ne ahoɔden fufuo a ɛwɔ ne yafunu so wedeɛ mu!
See now, his strength is in his loins; his power is in his belly's muscles.
17 Ne dua hinhim sɛ ntweneduro; ne srɛ mu ntini yɛ peperee.
He makes his tail like a cedar; the sinews of his thighs are joined together.
His bones are like tubes of bronze; his legs are like bars of iron.
He is the chief of the creatures of God. Only God, who made him, can defeat him.
20 Nkokoɔ fifiri wɔn nnɔbaeɛ ma no, na wiram mmoa nyinaa goro bɛn hɔ.
For the hills provide him with food; the beasts of the field play nearby.
21 Nkasɛɛ nkasɛɛ nnua ase na ɔda, na atɛkyɛ mu demmire akata no so.
He lies under the lotus plants in the shelter of the reeds, in the marshes.
The lotus plants cover him with their shade; the willows of the brook are all around him.
23 Nsuo nworosoɔ nha no; mpo sɛ Yordan bobɔ ba nʼano a, ɔnni ɔhaw.
See, if a river floods its banks, he does not tremble; he is confident, though the Jordan should surge up to his mouth.
24 Obi bɛtumi akye no animono; anaa obi bɛtumi de afidie ayi no na wabɔne ne hwene mu?
Can anyone capture him with a hook, or pierce his nose through with a snare?
