< Hiob 33 >
1 “Na afei, Hiob, tie me nsɛm; yɛ aso ma biribiara a mɛka.
Hear, therefore, my discourse, I pray thee, O Job! And attend unto all my words!
2 Merebɛbue mʼano; me nsɛm aba me tɛkrɛma so.
Behold, I am opening my mouth; My tongue is now speaking in my palate.
3 Me nsɛm firi akoma a ɛtene mu; na mʼano de ahonim pa ka deɛ menim.
My words shall be in the uprightness of my heart; My lips shall utter knowledge purely.
4 Onyankopɔn Honhom na abɔ me; Otumfoɔ no ahome ma me nkwa.
The spirit of God made me, And the breath of the Almighty gave me life.
5 Sɛ wobɛtumi a, ma me mmuaeɛ; siesie wo ho, na ka si mʼanim.
If thou art able, answer me; Set thyself in array against me; stand up!
6 Wo ne me nyinaa yɛ pɛ wɔ Onyankopɔn anim; me nso wɔbɔɔ me firii dɔteɛ mu.
Behold, I, like thee, am a creature of God; I also was formed of clay.
7 Ɛnsɛ sɛ wosuro me, na ɛnsɛ sɛ me nsa yɛ den wɔ wo so.
Behold, my terror cannot dismay thee, Nor can my greatness be heavy upon thee.
8 “Nanso woaka ama mate, metee saa nsɛm no, na wokaa sɛ,
Surely thou hast said in my hearing, I have heard the sound of thy words:
9 ‘Meyɛ kronn na menni bɔne; me ho te na afɔdie biara nni me ho.
“I am pure, and without transgression; I am clean, and there is no iniquity in me.
10 Nanso Onyankopɔn anya me ho mfomsoɔ; wafa me sɛ ne ɔtamfoɔ.
Behold, He seeketh causes of hostility against me; He regardeth me as his enemy.
11 Ɔde me nan ahyɛ mpɔkyerɛ mu; na nʼani wɔ mʼakwan nyinaa so.’
He putteth my feet in the stocks; He watcheth all my paths.”
12 “Nanso meka mekyerɛ wo sɛ, yei mu deɛ, woayɛ mfomsoɔ, ɛfiri sɛ Onyankopɔn so sene ɔdasani.
Behold, in this thou art not right; I will answer thee; For God is greater than man.
13 Na adɛn enti na wonwiinwii hyɛ no sɛ ɔmmua onipa nsɛm biara anaa?
Why dost thou contend with Him? For he giveth no account of any of his doings.
14 Nanso, Onyankopɔn kasa wɔ akwan ahodoɔ so, na ebia nnipa nte.
For God speaketh once, Yea, twice, when man regardeth it not.
15 Ɔkasa wɔ daeɛso ne anadwo anisoadehunu mu, ɛberɛ a nna afa nnipa na wɔretu nkorɔmo wɔ wɔn mpa so,
In a dream, in a vision of the night, When deep sleep falleth upon men, In slumber upon the bed;
16 ɔtumi kasa gu wɔn asom na ɔde kɔkɔbɔ yi wɔn hu,
Then openeth he the ears of men, And sealeth up for them admonition;
That he may turn man from his purpose, And hide pride from man.
Thus he saveth him from the pit, Yea, his life from perishing by the sword.
He is chastened also with pain upon his bed, And with a continual agitation of his bones,
20 kɔsi sɛ ne kɔn nnɔ aduane na ne ɔkra nso po aduane a ɛyɛ akɔnnɔ pa ara;
So that his mouth abhorreth bread, And his taste the choicest food;
21 ɔfɔn yɛ basaa, na ne nnompe a anka ɛho akata no ho da hɔ.
His flesh is consumed, that it cannot be seen, And his bones, that were invisible, are naked;
22 Ne ɔkra bɛn damena, na ne nkwa bɛn owuo abɔfoɔ.
Yea, his soul draweth near to the pit, And his life to the destroyers.
23 “Nanso sɛ abɔfoɔ apem no mu baako wɔ nʼafa sɛ ɔdimafoɔ a ɔbɛkyerɛ no deɛ ɛyɛ ma no a,
But if there be with him a messenger, An interpreter, one of a thousand, Who may show unto man his duty,
24 ɔbɛhunu no mmɔbɔ na waka sɛ, ‘Monnyaa no na wankɔ damena mu; na manya mpatadeɛ ama no,’
Then will God be gracious to him, and say, “Save him from going down to the pit: I have found a ransom.”
25 afei ne wedeɛ bɛyɛ foforɔ sɛ abɔfra deɛ, na asi ne dada mu sɛ mmeranteberɛ mu deɛ.
His flesh shall became fresher than a child's; He shall return to the days of his youth.
He shall pray to God, and he will be favorable to him, And permit him to see his face with joy, And restore unto man his righteousness.
27 Afei ɔbɛba nnipa mu abɛka sɛ, ‘Meyɛɛ bɔne na mekyeaa deɛ ɛtene, nanso wantwe mʼaso sɛdeɛ ɛfata me.
He shall sing among men, and say, “I sinned; I acted perversely; Yet hath he not requited me for it:
28 Ɔgyee me ɔkra na wamma no ankɔ damena mu, enti mɛtena ase na madi hann no mu dɛ.’
He hath delivered me from going down to the pit, And my life beholdeth the light.”
29 “Onyankopɔn yɛ yeinom nyinaa ma onipa, mprɛnu ne ne mprɛnsa so,
Lo! all these things doeth God Time after time with man,
That he may bring him back from the pit, That he may enjoy the light of the living.
31 “Yɛ aso, Hiob, na tie me; yɛ dinn na menkasa.
Mark well, O Job! hearken to me! Keep silence, and I will speak.
32 Na sɛ wowɔ biribi ka a, bua me; kasa, na mepɛ sɛ wɔbu wo bem.
Yet if thou hast any thing to say, answer me! Speak! for I desire to pronounce thee innocent.
33 Sɛ ɛnte saa nso a, ɛnneɛ tie me. Yɛ dinn na mɛkyerɛ wo nyansa.”
But if not, do thou listen to me! Keep silence, and I will teach thee wisdom!
