< Hiob 19 >

1 Na Hiob kasaa bio sɛ,
Then Job answered and said,
2 “Mobɛhyɛ me aniɛyaa na mode nsɛm abubu me akɔsi da bɛn?
How long will ye vex my soul and break me in pieces with words?
3 Mpɛn edu nie a moasopa me; mo ani nwu sɛ moto hyɛ me so.
These ten times have ye reproached me: ye are not ashamed that ye deal hardly with me.
4 Sɛ ɛyɛ nokorɛ sɛ mafom ɛkwan a, me mfomsoɔ yɛ me nko ara asɛm.
And be it indeed that I have erred, mine error remaineth with myself.
5 Sɛ ampa sɛ mobɛma mo ho so wɔ me so na mode mʼanimguaseɛ ayɛ adanseɛ atia me a,
If indeed ye will magnify yourselves against me, and plead against me my reproach:
6 ɛnneɛ monhunu sɛ Onyankopɔn ayɛ me bɔne na ɔde nʼatena atwa me ho ahyia.
Know now that God hath subverted me [in my cause], and hath compassed me with his net.
7 “Ɛwom sɛ mesu sɛ, ‘Wɔafom me’ deɛ, nanso obiara mmua me; meteam pɛ mmoa, nanso atɛntenenee biara nni hɔ.
Behold, I cry out of wrong, but I am not heard: I cry for help, but there is no judgment.
8 Wasi me ɛkwan enti mentumi mensene; wama mʼakwan so aduru sum.
He hath fenced up my way that I cannot pass, and hath set darkness in my paths.
9 Wayi mʼanimuonyam afiri me so na watu mʼahenkyɛ afiri me ti so.
He hath stripped me of my glory, and taken the crown from my head.
10 Wasɛe me akwannuasa nyinaa so de awie me; watu mʼanidasoɔ ase te sɛ dua.
He hath broken me down on every side, and I am gone: and mine hope hath he plucked up like a tree.
11 Nʼabufuo huru tia me; na wakan me afra nʼatamfoɔ mu.
He hath also kindled his wrath against me, and he counteth me unto him as [one of] his adversaries.
12 Nʼakodɔm ba anibereɛ so; wɔsisi mpie de tia me na wɔtwa me ntomadan ho hyia.
His troops come on together, and cast up their way against me, and encamp round about my tent.
13 “Wayi me nuammarima afiri me ho; na mʼamanifoɔ nso, watwe wɔn ho koraa.
He hath put my brethren far from me, and mine acquaintance are wholly estranged from me.
14 Mʼabusuafoɔ kɔ; na me nnamfonom werɛ afiri me.
My kinsfolk have failed, and my familiar friends have forgotten me.
15 Mʼahɔhoɔ ne me mmaawa bu me sɛ ɔhɔhoɔ; mete sɛ ɔnanani ma wɔn.
They that dwell in mine house, and my maids, count me for a stranger: I am an alien in their sight.
16 Mefrɛ me ɔsomfoɔ, na ɔmmua; mpo, mete mʼano srɛ no.
I call unto my servant, and he giveth me no answer, [though] I entreat him with my mouth.
17 Me home bɔn me yere; me ho afono mʼankasa nuammarima.
My breath is strange to my wife, and my supplication to the children of my [mother’s] womb.
18 Mpo, mmarimmaa nkumaa bu me animtiaa; sɛ mepue a wɔdi me ho fɛw.
Even young children despise me; if I arise, they speak against me.
19 Me nnamfo berɛboɔ kyiri me; mʼadɔfoɔ asɔre atia me.
All my inward friends abhor me: and they whom I loved are turned against me.
20 Maka honam ne nnompe, na ɛkaa kakraa bi, anka merewu.
My bone cleaveth to my skin and to my flesh, and I am escaped with the skin of my teeth.
21 “Monhunu me mmɔbɔ, me nnamfonom, monhunu mmɔbɔ, na Onyankopɔn nsa abɔ me.
Have pity upon me, have pity upon me, O ye my friends; for the hand of God hath touched me.
22 Adɛn enti na motaa me so, sɛdeɛ Onyankopɔn yɛ no? Na mommfa me honam mu yea yi saa ara?
Why do ye persecute me as God, and are not satisfied with my flesh?
23 “Ao, anka wɔmfa me nsɛm nhyɛ nwoma mu, anka wɔntwerɛ wɔ nwoma mmobɔeɛ so,
Oh that my words were now written! oh that they were inscribed in a book!
24 anka wɔmfa dadeɛ twerɛdua nyiyi wɔ sumpii so, anaa wɔnkrukyire wɔ abotan so afebɔɔ.
That with an iron pen and lead they were graven in the rock for ever!
25 Menim sɛ me odimafoɔ te ase, na awieeɛ no ɔbɛsɔre agyina asase so.
But I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand up at the last upon the earth:
26 Na sɛ me wedeɛ wie sɛe a, mede mʼani bɛhunu Onyankopɔn.
And after my skin hath been thus destroyed, yet from my flesh shall I see God:
27 Me ara mɛhunu no mede mʼani, na ɛnyɛ obi foforɔ ani, bɛhunu no. Mʼakoma ho pere no wɔ me mu.
Whom I shall see for myself, and mine eyes shall behold, and not another. My reins are consumed within me.
28 “Sɛ moka sɛ, ‘Yɛbɛteetee no, ɛfiri sɛ ɔhaw no firi ɔno ara’ a,
If ye say, How we will persecute him! seeing that the root of the matter is found in me;
29 ɛsɛ sɛ mosuro akofena no. Abufuo nam akofena so de asotwe bɛba, na mobɛhunu sɛ atemmuo wɔ hɔ.”
Be ye afraid of the sword: for wrath [bringeth] the punishments of the sword, that ye may know there is a judgment.
