1 Yei ne asɛm a ɛfiri Awurade nkyɛn baa odiyifoɔ Yeremia hɔ a ɛfa aman no ho.
The word of the Lord, that was maad to Jeremye, the profete, ayens hethene men;
2 Deɛ ɛfa Misraim ho no nie: Yei ne nsɛm a ɛtia Misraimhene Farao Neko akodɔm a Babiloniahene Nebukadnessar dii wɔn so nkonim wɔ Karkemis, Asubɔnten Eufrate ho wɔ Yudahene Yosia babarima Yehoakim adedie afe a ɛtɔ so ɛnan no:
to Egipt, ayens the oost of Farao Nechao, kyng of Egipt, that was bisidis the flood Eufrates, in Charchamys, whom Nabugodonosor, kyng of Babiloyne, smoot, in the fourthe yeer of Joachym, sone of Josie, kyng of Juda.
3 “Siesie wʼakokyɛm, akɛseɛ ne nketewa nyinaa, na montu ntene nkɔ ɔsa!
Make ye redi scheeld and targat, and go ye forth to batel.
4 Monsiesie apɔnkɔ no, na momforo ntenatena wɔn so. Monyinagyina mo afa a mo dadeɛ kyɛ hyehyɛ mo! Monse mo mpea ano, na monhyɛ mo nkataboɔ.
Ioyne ye horsis, and stie, ye knyytis; stonde ye in helmes, polische ye speris, clothe ye you in haburiowns.
5 Ɛdeɛn na mehunu? Wɔabɔ hu, wɔresane wɔn akyi, wɔn nnɔmmarima adi nkoguo. Wɔdwane ntɛm so a wɔnnhwɛ wɔn akyi, na ehu wɔ baabiara,” Awurade na ɔseɛ.
What therfor? Y siy hem dredeful, and turnynge the backis, the stronge men of hem slayn; and thei fledden swiftli, and bihelden not; drede was on ech side, seith the Lord.
6 Ɔhoɔherɛfoɔ ntumi nnwane, na ɔhoɔdenfoɔ nso saa ara. Atifi fam wɔ Asubɔnten Eufrate ho wɔsuntisunti na wɔhwehwe ase.
A swift man schal not fle, and a strong man gesse not hym silf to be saued; at the north, bisidis the flood Eufrates, thei weren ouer comun, and fellen doun.
7 “Hwan, na ɔma ne homene so sɛ Asubɔnten Nil, sɛ nsubɔntene a emu nsuo woro soɔ yi?
Who is this, that stieth as a flood, and hise swelewis wexen greet as of floodis?
8 Misraim ma ne homene so sɛ Nil, sɛ nsubɔntene a emu nsuo woro soɔ. Ɔka sɛ, ‘Mɛsɔre akata asase no so; mɛsɛe nkuropɔn ne emu nnipa.’
Egipte stiede at the licnesse of a flood, and hise wawis schulen be mouyd as floodis; and it schal seie, Y schal stie, and hile the erthe; Y schal leese the citee, and dwelleris therof.
9 Monkɔ mo anim, apɔnkɔ! Monka wɔn anibereɛ so, Ao teaseɛnamkafoɔ! Montu ntene, Ao nnɔmmarima, Kus ne Put mmarimma a mokura akokyɛm, Lidia mmarima a moto agyan.
Stie ye on horsis, and make ye ful out ioie in charis; and stronge men, come forth, Ethiopie and Libie, holdynge scheeld, and Lidii, takynge and schetynge arowis.
10 Nanso, ɛda no yɛ Awurade, Asafo Awurade dea, aweretɔ da, nʼatamfoɔ so aweretɔ. Akofena bɛkunkum akɔsi sɛ ɔbɛmee, akɔsi ɛberɛ a ɔde mogya bɛdwodwo ne sukɔm ano. Ɛfiri sɛ, Awurade, Asafo Awurade bɛbɔ afɔdeɛ wɔ atifi fam asase a ɛwɔ Asubɔnten Eufrate ho no so.
Forsothe that dai of the Lord God of oostis is a dai of veniaunce, that he take veniaunce of hise enemyes; the swerd schal deuoure, and schal be fillid, and schal greetli be fillid with the blood of hem; for whi the slayn sacrifice of the Lord of oostis is in the lond of the north, bisidis the flood Eufrates.

12 Amanaman no bɛte wʼanimguaseɛ; wʼagyaadwoɔ bɛhyɛ asase so ma. Ɔkofoɔ baako bɛsunti ɔfoforɔ so; na wɔn baanu bɛbɔ mu ahwe ase.”
Hethene men herden thi schenschipe, and thi yellyng fillide the erthe; for a strong man hurtlide ayens a strong man, and bothe fellen doun togidere.
13 Yei ne asɛm a Awurade ka kyerɛɛ odiyifoɔ Yeremia a ɛfa Babiloniahene Nebukadnessar ba a ɔbɛba abɛto ahyɛ Misraim so:
The word which the Lord spak to Jeremye, the profete, on that that Nabugodonosor, kyng of Babiloyne, was to comynge, and to smytynge the lond of Egipt.
14 “Mommɔ yei ho dawuro wɔ Misraim, na mompae mu nka wɔ Migdol; monka wɔ Memfis ne Tapanhes nso sɛ, ‘Monnyinagyina na monyɛ krado, ɛfiri sɛ, akofena rekunkum wɔn a wɔatwa mo ho ahyia.’
Telle ye to Egipt, and make ye herd in Magdalo, and sowne it in Memphis, and seie ye in Taphnys, Stonde thou, and make thee redi, for a swerd schal deuoure tho thingis that ben bi thi cumpas.
15 Adɛn enti na mo nnɔmmarima bɛboto sei? Wɔrentumi nnyina, ɛfiri sɛ, Awurade bɛbɔ wɔn ahwe fam.
Whi hath thi strong man wexe rotun? He stood not, for the Lord vndurturnede hym.
16 Wɔbɛsuntisunti atoatoa so; wɔbɛhwehwe ase adeda wɔn ho wɔn ho so. Wɔbɛka sɛ, ‘Monsɔre, momma yɛnkɔ yɛn nkyi nkɔ yɛn nkurɔfoɔ nkyɛn ne baabi a wɔwoo yɛn, na yɛmfiri ɔhyɛsofoɔ no akofena ano.’
He multipliede falleris, and a man felle doun to his neiybore; and thei schulen seie, Rise ye, and turne we ayen to oure puple, and to the lond of oure birthe, fro the face of swerd of the culuer.
17 Ɛhɔ na wɔbɛteam sɛ, ‘Misraimhene Farao dwa nʼanom kwa; nʼakwannya a ɔwɔ no atwam.’
Clepe ye the name of Farao, kyng of Egipt; the tyme hath brouyt noise.
18 “Ampa ara sɛ mete ase yi” Ɔhene a ne din ne Asafo Awurade na ɔseɛ, “Ɔbaako bɛba a ɔte sɛ Tabor wɔ mmepɔ no mu, anaasɛ Karmel a ɛwɔ mpoano.

20 “Misraim yɛ nantwie ba bereɛ a ne ho yɛ fɛ, nanso kawere bi firi atifi fam reba ne so.
Egipt is a schapli cow calf, and fair; a prickere fro the north schal come to it.
21 Asraafoɔ apaafoɔ a wɔwɔ wɔn mu no te sɛ anantwie mma a wɔadɔre sradeɛ. Wɔn nso bɛdane wɔn ho adwane abom, wɔrentumi nnyina wɔn nan so, ɛfiri sɛ, amanehunu da no reba wɔn so, ɛberɛ a wɔde bɛtwe wɔn aso no.
Also the hirid men therof, that liueden as caluys maad fatte in the myddis therof, ben turned, and fledden togidere, and miyten not stonde; for the dai of sleynge of hem schal come on hem, the tyme of the visityng of hem.
22 Misraim bɛtee so sɛ ɔtweaseɛ a ɔredwane ɛberɛ a ɔtamfoɔ de ahoɔden reba ne so no; wɔde mmonnua bɛba ne so te sɛ mmarima a wɔbu nnua.
The vois of hem schal sowne as of bras, for thei schulen haste with oost, and with axis thei schulen come to it. As men kittynge doun trees thei kittiden doun the forest therof,
23 Wɔbɛsɛe ne kwaeɛ,” Awurade na ɔseɛ, “sɛdeɛ ayɛ kusuu yi mpo. Wɔdɔɔso bebree sene ntutummɛ, na wɔrentumi nkane wɔn.
seith the Lord, which mai not be noumbrid; thei ben multiplied ouer locustis, and no noumbre is in hem.
24 Wɔbɛgu Ɔbabaa Misraim anim ase, wɔde no bɛhyɛ atifi fam nnipa no nsa.”
The douytir of Egipt is schent, and bitakun in to the hond of the puple of the north,
25 Asafo Awurade, Israel Onyankopɔn, ka sɛ, “Mede asotwe reba Tebes nyame Amon, Farao, Misraim ne nʼanyame ne nʼahemfo ne wɔn a wɔde wɔn ho to Farao soɔ no so.
seide the Lord of oostis, God of Israel. Lo! Y schal visite on the noise of Alisaundre, and on Farao, and on Egipt, and on the goddis therof, and on the kyngis therof, and on hem that tristen in hym.
26 Mede wɔn bɛhyɛ wɔn a wɔpɛ sɛ wɔkum wɔn no nsa: Babiloniahene Nebukadnessar ne nʼadwumayɛfoɔ no. Nanso, akyire no, nnipa bɛtena Misraim asase so te sɛ kane no,” Awurade na ɔseɛ.
And Y schal yyue hem in to the hondis of men that seken the lijf of hem, and in to the hondis of Nabugodonosor, kyng of Babiloyne, and in to the hondis of hise seruauntis; and aftir these thingis it schal be enhabitid, as in the formere daies, seith the Lord.
27 “Nsuro, Ao Yakob me ɔsomfoɔ; mma wʼaba mu mmu, Ao Israel. Ampa ara mɛgye wo afiri beaeɛ a ɛwɔ akyirikyiri, ne wʼasefoɔ afiri wɔn nnommumfa asase so. Yakob bɛsane anya asomdwoeɛ ne banbɔ, na obiara renhunahuna no.
And thou, Jacob, my seruaunt, drede thou not, and Israel, drede thou not; for lo! Y schal make thee saaf fro fer place, and thi seed fro the lond of his caitiftee; and Jacob schal turne ayen, and schal reste, and schal haue prosperite, and noon schal be, that schal make hym aferd.
28 Nsuro, Ao, Yakob me ɔsomfoɔ; na me ne wɔ hɔ,” Awurade na ɔseɛ. “Ɛwom sɛ mesɛe aman no nyinaa koraa, aman a mehwetee mo kɔɔ so no deɛ, nanso merensɛe mo korakora. Mede tenenee nko ara na ɛbɛtenetene mo so; meremma mommfa mo ho nni a merentwe mo aso.”
And Jacob, my seruaunt, nyle thou drede, seith the Lord, for Y am with thee; for Y schal waste alle folkis, to whiche Y castide thee out; but Y schal not waste thee, but Y schal chastise thee in doom, and Y schal not spare thee as innocent.
