< Yeremia 32 >
1 Yei ne asɛm a ɛfiri Awurade nkyɛn baa Yeremia hɔ wɔ Yudahene Sedekia adedie afe a ɛtɔ so edu a na ɛyɛ Nebukadnessar adedie afe a ɛtɔ so dunwɔtwe.
The worde that came vnto Ieremiah from the Lord, in the tenth yere of Zedekiah king of Iudah, which was the eightenth yeere of Nebuchad-nezzar.
2 Na Babiloniahene akodɔm aka Yerusalem ahyɛ a na odiyifoɔ Yeremia nso da dua mu wɔ awɛmfoɔ adihɔ a ɛwɔ Yuda ahemfie.
For then the King of Babels hoste besieged Ierusalem: And Ieremiah the Prophet was shutte vp in the court of the prison, which was in the King of Iudahs house.
3 Na Yudahene Sedekia de no ato afiase na ɔrebisa no sɛ adɛn enti na wohyɛ nkɔm sɛ, “Deɛ Awurade seɛ nie: ‘Mede saa kuropɔn yi rebɛhyɛ Babiloniahene nsa, na wafa no nnommum.
For Zedekiah King of Iudah had shut him vp, saying, Wherefore doest thou prophesie, and say, Thus saith the Lord, Beholde, I will giue this citie into the handes of the King of Babel, and he shall take it?
And Zedekiah the King of Iudah shall not escape out of the hande of the Caldeans, but shall surely be deliuered into the handes of the King of Babel, and shall speake with him mouth to mouth, and his eyes shall beholde his face,
5 Ɔde Sedekia bɛkɔ Babilonia, na ɛhɔ na ɔbɛtena akɔsi sɛ me ne no bɛdi, Awurade na ɔseɛ. Sɛ woko tia Babiloniafoɔ no a worenni nkonim.’”
And he shall lead Zedekiah to Babel, and there shall he be, vntil I visit him, saith ye Lord: though ye fight with the Caldeans, ye shall not prosper.
6 Yeremia kaa sɛ, “Awurade asɛm baa me nkyɛn sɛ,
And Ieremiah said, The word of the Lord came vnto me, saying,
7 Wo wɔfa Salum babarima Hanamel rebɛba wo nkyɛn, abɛka sɛ, ‘Tɔ mʼasase a ɛwɔ Anatot no, ɛfiri sɛ woyɛ me busuani nimpɔn na wowɔ ho ɛkwan, na ɛyɛ wʼasɛdeɛ nso sɛ wotɔ.’
Beholde, Hanameel, the sonne of Shallum thine vncle, shall come vnto thee and say, Bye vnto thee my fielde, that is in Anathoth: for the title by kindred appertaineth vnto thee to bye it.
8 “Na sɛdeɛ Awurade aka no me wɔfa ba Hanamel baa me nkyɛn wɔ awɛmfoɔ adihɔ hɔ bɛkaa sɛ, ‘Tɔ mʼasase a ɛwɔ Anatot wɔ Benyamin mantam mu no. Esiane sɛ wowɔ ho ɛkwan sɛ wogyeɛ na wofa no enti, tɔ na fa.’ “Mehunuu sɛ yei yɛ Awurade asɛm.”
So Hanameel, mine vncles sonne, came to mee in the court of the prison, according to the word of the Lord, and said vnto me, Bye my field, I pray thee, that is in Anathoth, which is in the countrey of Beniamin: for the right of the possession is thine, and the purchase belongeth vnto thee: bye it for thee. Then I knewe that this was the worde of the Lord.
9 Enti, metɔɔ asase a na ɛwɔ Anatot no firii me wɔfa ba Hanamel nkyɛn na metuaa dwetɛ gram ɔha ne aduɔkron ɛnan maa no.
And I bought the field of Hanameel, mine vncles sonne, that was in Anathoth, and weighed him the siluer, euen seuen shekels, and tenne pieces of siluer.
10 Mede me nsa hyɛɛ adetɔ nwoma no ase, sɔɔ ano wɔ adansefoɔ anim, na mede nsania karii dwetɛ mpɔ no.
And I writ it in the booke and signed it, and tooke witnesses, and weighed him the siluer in the balances.
11 Na mefaa adetɔ nwoma no, deɛ wɔasɔ ano a ɛho nhyehyɛeɛ wɔ mu no, ne deɛ wɔnsɔɔ ano no nso,
So I tooke the booke of the possession, being sealed according to the Lawe, and custome, with the booke that was open,
12 na mede saa adetɔ nwoma no maa Neria babarima Baruk a, ɔyɛ Maaseia nana no wɔ me wɔfa ba Hanamel, adansefoɔ a wɔde wɔn nsa hyɛɛ adetɔ nwoma no ase ne Yudafoɔ a na wɔwɔ awɛmfoɔ adihɔ hɔ no nyinaa anim.
And I gaue the booke of the possession vnto Baruch the sonne of Neriah, the sonne of Maaseiah, in the sight of Hanameel mine vncles sonne, and in the presence of the witnesses, written in the booke of the possession, before al the Iewes that sate in the court of the prison.
13 “Meka kyerɛɛ Baruk wɔ wɔn nyinaa anim sɛ,
And I charged Baruch before them, saying,
14 ‘Deɛ Asafo Awurade, Israel Onyankopɔn no seɛ nie, Fa saa adetɔ so nwoma yi, deɛ wɔasɔ ano ne deɛ wɔnnsɔɔ ano, na fa gu dɔteɛ asuhina mu, sɛdeɛ ɛbɛkyɛre yie.
Thus saith the Lord of hostes, the God of Israel, Take the writings, euen this booke of the possession, both that is sealed, and this booke that is open, and put them in an earthen vessell, that they may continue a long time.
15 Deɛ Asafo Awurade, Israel Onyankopɔn, no seɛ nie: Wɔbɛtotɔ afie, mfuo ne bobe nturo wɔ asase yi so bio.’
For the Lord of hostes, the God of Israel saith thus, Houses and fieldes, and vineyardes shall be possessed againe in this land.
16 “Mede adetɔ nwoma no maa Neria babarima Baruk. Akyire no, mebɔɔ Awurade mpaeɛ sɛ,
Now when I had deliuered the booke of the possession vnto Baruch, the sonne of Neriah, I prayed vnto the Lord, saying,
17 “Ao, Otumfoɔ Awurade, wo na wonam wo tumi ne wo basa a woatene muo so abɔ ɔsoro ne asase. Biribiara nyɛ den mma wo.
Ah Lord God, beholde, thou hast made the heauen and the earth by thy great power, and by thy stretched out arme, and there is nothing hard vnto thee.
18 Woyi ɔdɔ adi kyerɛ mpempem, nanso wotua agyanom amumuyɛ so ka gu wɔn mma a wɔdi wɔn akyi srɛ so. Ao, Onyankopɔn a woso na wowɔ tumi, wo din ne Asafo Awurade,
Thou shewest mercie vnto thousands, and recompensest the iniquitie of the fathers into the bosome of their children after them: O God the great and mightie, whose Name is ye Lord of hostes,
Great in counsell, and mightie in worke, (for thine eyes are open vpon all the wayes of ye sonnes of men, to giue to euery one according to his wayes, and according to the fruite of his workes)
20 Woyɛɛ nsɛnkyerɛnneɛ ne anwanwadeɛ wɔ Misraim na atoa so de abɛsi ɛnnɛ wɔ Israel ne adasamma nyinaa mu, na wode agye din a ɛwɔ wo de bɛsi ɛnnɛ.
Which hast set signes and wonders in the land of Egypt vnto this day, and in Israel, and among all men, and hast made thee a Name, as appeareth this day,
21 Wode nsɛnkyerɛnneɛ ne anwanwadeɛ, nsa a ɛyɛ den ne abasa a watene mu ne nneɛma ɛyɛ hu yii wo ɔman Israel firii Misraim.
And hast brought thy people Israel out of the land of Egypt with signes, and with wonders, and with a strong hand, with a stretched out arme, and with great terrour,
22 Wode asase a wokaa ho ntam sɛ wode bɛma wɔn agyanom no maa wɔn, asase a nufosuo ne ɛwoɔ resene so.
And hast giuen them this land, which thou diddest sweare to their fathers to giue them, euen a land, that floweth with milke and hony,
23 Wɔba bɛfaeɛ, na wɔtenaa so, nanso wɔantie wo, na wɔanni wo mmara so; wɔanyɛ deɛ wohyɛɛ wɔn sɛ wɔnyɛ no. Enti wode saa amanehunu yi nyinaa baa wɔn so.
And they came in, and possessed it, but they obeyed not thy voyce, neither walked in thy Law: all that thou commaundedst them to doe, they haue not done: therefore thou hast caused this whole plague to come vpon them.
24 “Hwɛ sɛdeɛ wɔasisi ntuano mpampim de rebɛgye kuropɔn no. Esiane akofena, ɛkɔm ne ɔyaredɔm enti, wɔde kuropɔn no bɛhyɛ Babiloniafoɔ a wɔreto ahyɛ ne so no nsa. Deɛ wokaeɛ no aba mu sɛdeɛ wohunu no seesei no.
Beholde, the mounts, they are come into the citie to take it, and the citie is giuen into the hande of the Caldeans, that fight against it by meanes of the sword, and of the famine, and of the pestilence, and what thou hast spoken, is come to passe, and beholde, thou seest it.
25 Na ɛwom sɛ wɔde kuropɔn no bɛhyɛ Babiloniafoɔ nsa deɛ, nanso wo, Ao, Otumfoɔ Awurade, ka kyerɛ me sɛ, ‘Fa dwetɛ tɔ asase na ma adansefoɔ mmra ɛho nhyehyɛeɛ no mu.’”
And thou hast sayd vnto me, O Lord God, Bye vnto thee the fielde for siluer, and take witnesses: for the citie shall be giuen into the hand of the Caldeans.
26 Ɛna Awurade asɛm baa Yeremia nkyɛn sɛ,
Then came the worde of the Lord vnto Ieremiah, saying,
27 “Mene Awurade adasamma nyinaa Onyankopɔn. Na biribi yɛ den dodo ma me anaa?
Beholde, I am the LORD GOD of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me?
28 Enti, deɛ Awurade seɛ nie: Mede kuropɔn yi rebɛhyɛ Babiloniafoɔ ne Babiloniahene Nebukadnessar nsa, na wɔafa.
Therefore thus saith the Lord, Beholde, I wil giue this citie into the hand of the Caldeans, and into the hand of Nebuchad-nezzar, King of Babel, and he shall take it.
29 Babiloniafoɔ a wɔreto ahyɛ saa kuropɔn yi so no bɛba mu, na wɔato mu ogya; wɔbɛhye no dworobɛɛ, ɛno ne afie a nnipa hyee nnuhwam wɔ atifi maa Baal na wɔhwiee afɔrebɔ nsã maa anyame foforɔ de hyɛɛ me abufuo.
And the Caldeans shall come and fight against this citie, and set fire on this citie and burne it, with the houses, vpon whose rouses they haue offred incense vnto Baal, and powred drinke offrings vnto other gods, to prouoke me vnto anger.
30 “Israelfoɔ ne Yudafoɔ nyɛɛ biribiara sɛ bɔne wɔ mʼani so, ɛfiri wɔn mmabunu berɛ mu; ampa ara Israelfoɔ nnyɛɛ biribiara sɛ wɔde nneɛma a wɔde wɔn nsa ayɛ bɛhyɛ me abufuo, Awurade na ɔseɛ.
For the children of Israel, and the children of Iudah haue surely done euill before me from their youth: for the children of Israel haue surely prouoked me to anger with the workes of their hands, saith the Lord.
31 Ɛfiri da a wɔkyekyeree saa kuropɔn yi de bɛsi ɛnnɛ, wahyɛ me abufuo ne abufutrasoɔ a ɛsɛ sɛ anka meyi no firi mʼani so.
Therefore this citie hath bene vnto me as a prouocation of mine anger, and of my wrath, from the day, that they built it, euen vnto this day, that I should remoue it out of my sight,
32 Israelfoɔ ne Yudafoɔ de bɔne a wɔayɛ nyinaa ahyɛ me abufuo, wɔn, wɔn ahemfo ne adwumayɛfoɔ, wɔn asɔfoɔ ne adiyifoɔ, mmarima a wɔwɔ Yuda ne nnipa a wɔwɔ Yerusalem.
Because of all the euill of the children of Israel, and of the children of Iudah, which they haue done to prouoke mee to anger, euen they, their Kings, their Princes, their Priests, and their Prophets, and the men of Iudah, and the inhabitants of Ierusalem.
33 Wɔdanee wɔn akyi kyerɛɛ me; ɛwom, mekyerɛkyerɛ wɔn ɛberɛ biara deɛ, nanso wɔantie na wɔammfa ntenesoɔ.
And they haue turned vnto me the backe and not the face: though I taught them rising vp earely, and instructing them, yet they were not obedient to receiue doctrine,
34 Wɔasisi ahoni a ɛyɛ akyiwadeɛ wɔ efie a me Din da so no mu, de guu ho fi.
But they set their abominations in ye house (whereupon my Name was called) to defile it,
35 Wɔsisii sorɔnsorɔmmea maa Baal wɔ Ben Hinom bɔnhwa mu, de wɔn mmammarima ne mmammaa bɔɔ afɔdeɛ maa Molek, wɔ ɛberɛ a menhyɛɛ wɔn na ɛmmaa mʼadwene mu da sɛ wɔnyɛ saa akyiwadeɛ yi mma Yuda nyɛ bɔne.
And they built the hie places of Baal, which are in the valley of Ben-hinnom, to cause their sonnes and their daughters to passe through the fire vnto Molech, which I commanded them not, neither came it into my minde, that they should doe such abomination, to cause Iudah to sinne.
And nowe therefore, thus hath the Lord God of Israel spoken, concerning this citie, whereof ye say, It shalbe deliuered into the hand of the King of Babel by the sword, and by the famine, and by the pestilence,
37 Ampa ara mɛboaboa wɔn ano afiri nsase a mefiri mʼabufuhyeɛ mu pamoo wɔn kɔguiɛ hɔ; mɛsane de wɔn aba ha na mama wɔatena ase ahotɔ mu.
Beholde, I will gather them out of all countreys, wherein I haue scattered them in mine anger, and in my wrath, and in great indignation, and I wil bring them againe vnto this place, and I will cause them to dwell safely.
38 Wɔbɛyɛ me nkurɔfoɔ, na mayɛ wɔn Onyankopɔn.
And they shall be my people, and I will be their God.
39 Na mɛma wɔn akoma korɔ na wɔayɛ wɔn adeɛ abɔ mu, sɛdeɛ, ɛberɛ biara wɔbɛsuro me wɔn ankasa ne wɔn nkyirimma yiedie enti.
And I wil giue them one heart and one way that they may feare me for euer for ye wealth of them, and of their children after them.
40 Na me ne wɔn bɛyɛ daapem apam: Merennyae wɔn yieyɛ da, na mede ɔpɛ bɛhyɛ wɔn akoma mu, ama wɔn asuro me, sɛdeɛ wɔrentwe wɔn ho mfiri me ho da.
And I wil make an euerlasting couenant with them, that I wil neuer turne away from them to doe them good, but I wil put my feare in their hearts, that they shall not depart from me.
41 Mʼani bɛgye sɛ mɛyɛ wɔn yie, na ampa ara mede mʼakoma ne me kra nyinaa bɛdua wɔn wɔ asase yi so.
Yea, I wil delite in them to do them good, and I wil plant them in this land assuredly with my whole heart, and with all my soule.
42 “Yei ne deɛ Awurade seɛ: Sɛdeɛ mede amanehunu kɛseɛ yi nyinaa aba nkurɔfoɔ yi so no, saa ara na mede yiedie a mahyɛ wɔn ho bɔ no bɛma wɔn.
For thus sayth the Lord, Like as I haue brought all this great plague vpon this people, so wil I bring vpon them all the good that I haue promised them.
43 Wɔbɛtotɔ nsase bio wɔ ha, deɛ moka wɔ ho sɛ, ‘Wɔde ahyɛ Babiloniafoɔ nsa, ɛno enti ada mpan, na nnipa anaa mmoa nni so.’
And the fields shalbe possessed in this land, whereof ye say, It is desolate without man or beast, and shalbe giuen into the hand of the Caldeans.
44 Wɔde dwetɛ bɛtotɔ nsase, na wɔbɛyɛ adetɔ nwoma wɔ so. Wɔbɛsɔ ano wɔ adansefoɔ anim wɔ Benyamin mantam, nkuraase a atwa Yerusalem ho ahyia, nkuro a ɛwɔ Yuda, bepɔ so ɔman, atɔeɛ fam mmepɔ ase ne Negeb, ɛfiri sɛ, mɛsane de wɔn ahonyadeɛ ama wɔn, Awurade na ɔseɛ.”
Men shall buy fields for siluer, and make writings and seale them, and take witnesses in the land of Beniamin, and round about Ierusalem, and in the cities of Iudah, and in the cities of the mountaines, and in the cities of the plaine, and in the cities of the South: for I wil cause their captiuitie to returne, saith the Lord.
