< Yesaia 39 >
1 Saa ɛberɛ no Merodak-Baladan a ɔyɛ Babiloniahene Baladan babarima soma ma wɔde krataa ne akyɛdeɛ kɔmaa Hesekia, ɛfiri sɛ na wate sɛ wayare ama ne ho atɔ no.
At that time sent Merodach-baladan, the son of Baladan, the king of Babylon, letters and a present to Hezekiah; for he had heard that he had been sick, and was become strong again.
2 Hesekia gyee asomafoɔ no fɛw so, na afei ɔde deɛ ɔwɔ wɔ nʼakoradan mu kyerɛɛ wɔn: dwetɛ, sikakɔkɔɔ, nnuhwam, ngohwam, nʼakodeɛ akoraeɛ ne biribiara a ɛka nʼademudeɛ ho. Biribiara nni nʼahemfie ne nʼahennie mu a Hesekia amfa ankyerɛ wɔn.
And Hezekiah was rejoiced on their account, and showed them his treasure-house, the silver, and the gold, and the spices, and the precious oil, and the whole of his armor-house, and all that was found in his treasures: there was nothing that Hezekiah showed them not, in his house, and in all his dominion.
3 Afei Odiyifoɔ Yesaia kɔɔ ɔhene Hesekia nkyɛn, kɔbisaa no sɛ, “Asɛm bɛn na saa mmarima no kaaeɛ na ɛhe na wɔfiri baeɛ?” Hesekia buaa sɛ, “Wɔfiri akyirikyiri asase bi so. Wɔfiri Babilonia, na wɔbaa me nkyɛn.”
Then came Isaiah the prophet unto king Hezekiah, and said unto him, What did these men say? and whence did they come unto thee? And Hezekiah said, From a far-off country are they come unto me, from Babylon.
4 Odiyifoɔ no bisaa sɛ, “Ɛdeɛn na wɔhunuu wɔ wʼahemfie hɔ?” Hesekia buaa sɛ, “Wɔhunuu biribiara a ɛwɔ mʼahemfie ha. Biribiara nni mʼademudeɛ mu a mamfa ankyerɛ wɔn.”
And he said, What did they see in thy house? And Hezekiah said, all that is in my house have they seen; there is nothing that I did not show them in my treasures.
5 Afei, Yesaia ka kyerɛɛ Hesekia sɛ, “Tie asɛm a ɛfiri Asafo Awurade nkyɛn:
And Isaiah said to Hezekiah, Hear the word of the Lord of hosts,
6 Nokorɛm, ɛberɛ bi bɛba a, wɔbɛsoa biribiara a ɛwɔ wʼahemfie ne agyapadeɛ a wʼagyanom akora de abɛduru ɛnnɛ no akɔ Babilonia. Biribiara renka, sei na Awurade seɛ.
Behold, days are coming when all that is in thy house, and that which thy fathers have laid up in store until this day, shall be carried to Babylon: nothing shall be left, saith the Lord.
7 Na afei wʼasefoɔ mu bi, wʼankasa wo mogya a wɔbɛwo wɔn ama wo no, wɔbɛsoa wɔn akɔ na wɔakɔyɛ apiafoɔ wɔ Babiloniahene ahemfie.”
And of thy sons that will issue from thee, whom thou wilt beget, shall they take; and they shall be court-servants in the palace of the king of Babylon.
8 Hesekia dwenee sɛ ne ɔman no bɛnya asomdwoeɛ ne banbɔ wɔ ne mmerɛ so, enti ɔbuaa sɛ, “Awurade asɛm a woabɛka yi yɛ asɛm papa.”
Then said Hezekiah to Isaiah, Good is the word of the Lord which thou hast spoken. He said moreover, For there shall be peace and stability in my days.
