< Yesaia 14 >

1 Awurade bɛhunu Yakob mmɔbɔ; ɔbɛsane afa Israel na ɔbɛbɔ wɔn atenaseɛ wɔ wɔn ankasa asase so. Ananafoɔ bɛba abɛka wɔn ho na wɔne Yakob efie aka abɔ mu.
For Yahweh will have compassion on Jacob, And will yet choose Israel, And will give them rest upon their own soil, —And the sojourner, shall join himself, unto them, And they shall attach themselves unto the house of Jacob;
2 Amanaman bɛfa wɔn de wɔn aba wɔn ankasa atenaeɛ. Na Israel efie bɛfa amanaman no ayɛ wɔn dea sɛ nkoa ne mfenaa wɔ Awurade asase so. Wɔbɛyɛ wɔn a wɔyɛɛ wɔn nnommumfoɔ no nnommum na wɔbɛdi wɔn sohwɛfoɔ so.
And peoples shall take them, and bring them into their own place, And the house of Israel shall possess themselves of them upon the soil of Yahweh for servants and for handmaids, —Thus shall they be taking captive their captors, And shall tread down their oppressors.
3 Na da a Awurade bɛma mo ahome afiri amanehunu, ahoyera ne nkoasom denden mu no,
And it shall come to pass, in the day when Yahweh shall give thee rest from thy toil, and from thy disquiet, —and from the hard service which had been laid upon thee,
4 mobɛdi Babiloniahene ho fɛ sɛ: hwɛ sɛdeɛ ɔhyɛsofoɔ no aba nʼawieeɛ! Ne sɛdeɛ nʼabufuo nso to atwa!
that thou shalt take up this taunt over the king of Babylon, and shalt say: —How hath ceased the oppressor! Ceased the exactress!
5 Awurade abubu otirimuɔdenfoɔ no abaa mu, sodifoɔ ahempoma no,
Broke hath Yahweh the staff of the lawless, —The sceptre of despots;
6 deɛ abufuo mu no ɔde bobɔɔ wɔn toatoaa so hwehwee fam, na abufuhyeɛ mu ɔtintim wɔn so a ahomegyeɛ nni mu de brɛɛ amanaman no ase.
Smiting peoples in passion With stroke unremitting, —Trampling, in anger, on nations, Persecution unhindered.
7 Nsase no nyinaa rehome wɔ asomdwoeɛ mu; na wɔto dwom.
Quiet, at rest, the whole earth, —Men have burst into shouting!
8 Mpo, pepeaa nnua ne Lebanon ntweneduro nya ho anigyeɛ na wɔka sɛ, “Afei a wɔabrɛ wo ase yi, duatwafoɔ biara remmetwa yɛn.”
Yea the pine-trees, make mirth at thee, Cedars of Lebanon, Since thou wast laid low, No feller hath come up against us!
9 Damena a ɛwɔ aseɛ no rekeka ne ho abɛhyia wo kwan; ɛkanyane wɔn a wɔafiri mu no honhom sɛ wɔmmɛma wo akwaaba, wɔn a na wɔyɛ akannifoɔ wɔ ewiase, ɛma wɔsɔre firi wɔn nhennwa so, wɔn a na wɔyɛ ahemfo wɔ amanaman so. (Sheol h7585)
Hades beneath, is excited about thee To meet thine arrival, —Rousing up, for thee Shades, All the he-goats of earth! Maketh rise from their thrones, All the kings of the nations. (Sheol h7585)
10 Wɔn nyinaa bɛgye so, wɔbɛka akyerɛ wo sɛ, “Wo nso woayɛ mmrɛ sɛ yɛn; woayɛ sɛ yɛn ara.”
All of them, answer, and say to thee, —Thou too, made strengthless, as we! Unto us, art thou like!
11 Wo kɛseyɛ nyinaa wɔde aba damena mu, ne hooyɛ a ɛfiri wo nsankuo no; wɔde nsammaa asɛ kɛtɛ ama wo na asonsono akata wo so. (Sheol h7585)
Brought down to Hades, thy pride. The hum of thy harps, Beneath thee, is spread out corruption, And, thy coverlet—worms! (Sheol h7585)
12 Sɛdeɛ wofiri soro abɛhwe fam, Ao, anɔpa nsoromma, adekyeeɛ babarima! Wɔato wo abɛhwe asase so, wo a na kane no wobrɛ amanaman ase!
How hast thou fallen from heaven, O Shining One—Son of the Dawn! Hewn down to the earth, O crusher of nations!
13 Wokaa no wʼakoma mu sɛ, “Mɛforo akɔ soro; mɛma mʼahennwa so asi Onyankopɔn nsoromma atifi; mɛtena ase adi ɔhene wɔ ahyiaeɛ bepɔ so, deɛ ɛkrɔn paa wɔ bepɔ kronkron no so.
Yet, thou, didst say in thy heart—The heavens, will I ascend, Above the stars of GOD, will I lift up my throne, —That I may sit in the Mount of Assembly In the Recesses of the North:
14 Mɛforo atra omununkum atifi; mɛyɛ me ho sɛ Ɔsorosoroni no.”
I will mount on the hills of the clouds, I will match the Most High!
15 Nanso wɔde wo abɛto damena mu, amena donkudonku ase tɔnn. (Sheol h7585)
Howbeit, to Hades, shalt thou be brought down, —To the Recesses of the Pit! (Sheol h7585)
16 Wɔn a wɔhunu wo no hwɛ wo haa, wɔdwene deɛ ato woɔ no ho bisa sɛ, “Ɛnyɛ ɔbarima a ɔwosoo asase na ɔmaa ahennie ho popooeɛ,
They who see thee, upon thee, will gaze, Upon thee, will thoughtfully muse, —Is this the man who startled the earth? Who terrified kingdoms?
17 ɔbarima a ɔmaa ewiase danee anweatam, deɛ ɔdanee ne nkuropɔn butuiɛ na wamma ne nneduafoɔ ankɔ wɔn nkyi no nie?”
Who made the world like a desert? And its cities, brake down? Its prisoners, he loosed not, Each one to his home?
18 Amanaman ahemfo no nyinaa, wɔadeda obiara wɔ ne da mu.
All the kings of the nations—they all, are lying in state Each one in his crypt;
19 Nanso wɔapam wo afiri wo da mu te sɛ duban a wɔapoɔ; wɔde wɔn a atotɔ akata wo so, wɔn a wɔtɔɔ wɔ akofena ano, wɔn a wɔsiane kɔ aboɔ amena mu, te sɛ efunu a wɔatiatia soɔ.
But, thou, art flung out from thy grave, Like a scion detested, Beshrouded with slain, the pierced of the sword, Like a carcase trod underfoot:
20 Wɔrensie wo nka wɔn ho, ɛfiri sɛ, woasɛe wʼasase na wakunkum wo nkurɔfoɔ. Otirimuɔdenfoɔ asefoɔ no wɔrenkae wɔn bio. Wo babarima renni wʼadeɛ sɛ ɔhene.
As for them who go down to the stones of the Pit, Thou shalt not be united with them in burial; For thy land, thou didst ruin Thy people, didst slay, —Unnamed to times age-abiding, Be the seed of the wicked!
21 Siesie baabi a wɔbɛkunkum ne mmammarima wɔ wɔn agyanom bɔne nti; ɛnsɛ sɛ wɔsɔre di asase no so na wɔde wɔn nkuropɔn pete so.
Prepare—for his sons—shambles. For the iniquity of their fathers, —They shall not rise nor possess the earth, Nor fill the face of the world with cities.
I will rise. Then. against them, Declareth Yahweh of hosts, —And will cut off from Babylon Record and remnant And scion and seed, Declareth Yahweh.
23 “Mɛdane no ayɛ beaeɛ a apatuo wɔ ne ɔwora; mede ɔsɛeɛ praeɛ bɛpra no,” sɛdeɛ Asafo Awurade seɛ nie.
And will make her a possession for the bittern, And marshes of water, —And will sweep it with the besom of destruction, Declareth Yahweh of hosts.
24 Asafo Awurade aka ntam sɛ, “Nokorɛm, sɛdeɛ mahyehyɛ no, saa ara na ɛbɛyɛ, na sɛdeɛ madwene ho no, ɛrensesa.
Yahweh of hosts, hath sworn, saying, —Surely as I intended, so, hath it come to pass, And as I purposed, the same, shall stand: —
25 Mɛsɛe Asiria pasaa wɔ mʼasase so; mɛtiatia ne so me mmepɔ so. Ɔbɛyi ne kɔnnua afiri me nkurɔfoɔ so, na nʼadesoa nso afiri wɔn so.”
That I will break in pieces the Assyrian in my land, Yea upon my mountains, will I tread him underfoot, —So shall be removed from off them his yoke, And his burden, from off their shoulder shall be removed.
26 Yei ne nhyehyɛeɛ a wɔayɛ ama ewiase nyinaa; yei ne nsa a wɔatene wɔ aman nyinaa so.
This, is the purpose that is purposed upon all the earth, —And, this, the hand outstretched over all the nations;
27 Na sɛ Asafo Awurade ayɛ nʼadwene a hwan na ɔbɛsi no kwan? Na sɛ watene ne nsa, hwan na ɔbɛsianka no?
For, Yahweh of hosts, hath purposed, —And who shall frustrate? And, his, is the hand outstretched, And who shall turn it back?
28 Saa adehunu yi baa afe a ɔhene Ahas wuiɛ no:
In the year that King Ahaz died, came this oracle: —
29 Monnni ahurisie, mo Filistifoɔ, sɛ abaa a ɛbɔɔ mo no mu abubu; saa ɔwɔ no ase na ɔnanka bɛfiri aba, na nʼaba bɛyɛ ɔtweaseɛ a ne ho yɛ herɛ na nʼano wɔ borɔ.
Do not rejoice, Philistia, any of thee, In that the rod of him that smote thee, is broken, —For, out of the root of the serpent, shall come forth, a viper, And his fruit be a fiery dragon that flieth.
30 Ahiafoɔ mu hiani bɛnya adidibea, na mmɔborɔni bɛda asomdwoeɛ mu. Nanso wʼasefoɔ deɛ, mede ɛkɔm bɛtɔre wɔn ase; ɛbɛkunkum wo nkaeɛfoɔ.
Then shall feed the firstborn of the poor, And the needy, in confidence lie down, —And I will kill with famine thy root, And thy residue, shall be slain.
31 Twa adwo, Ao kuro ɛpono! Su teaam Ao kuropɔn! Monnwane, mo Filistifoɔ! Wisie kumɔnn bi firi atifi fam reba, na obiara ntwentwɛn ne nan ase wɔ wɔn mu.
Howl—O gate, Make outcry—O city, Dispersed art thou Philistia, all of thee, —For out of the north, a smoke cometh in, With no straggler in his ranks.
32 Mmuaeɛ bɛn na wɔde bɛma saa ɔman no ananmusifoɔ? “Awurade de Sion atim hɔ. Ne mu na nʼamanehunufoɔ bɛnya dwanekɔbea.”
What, then, shall one answer the messengers of a nation? That Yahweh, hath founded Zion, And in her, shall seek refuge the oppressed of his people.
