< Hosea 6 >

1 “Mommra, momma yɛnsane nkɔ Awurade nkyɛn. Wɔatete yɛn mu asinasini nanso ɔbɛsa yɛn yadeɛ. Wapirapira yɛn nanso ɔbɛkyekyere yɛn apirakuro.
“Come! Let’s return to the LORD; for he has torn us to pieces, and he will heal us; he has injured us, and he will bind up our wounds.
2 Nnanu akyiri, ɔbɛma yɛanya ahoɔden; nansa so, ɔde yɛn bɛsi yɛn siberɛ na yɛanya nkwa wɔ nʼanim.
After two days he will revive us. On the third day he will raise us up, and we will live before him.
3 Momma yɛnnye Awurade nto mu; momma yɛn nkɔ so nnye no nto mu. Sɛdeɛ awia pue da biara no, ɔbɛpue; ɔbɛba yɛn nkyɛn te sɛ osuo a ɛtɔ awɔberɛ mu anaa osutɔberɛ mu nsuo a ɛfɔ asase.”
Let’s acknowledge the LORD. Let’s press on to know the LORD. As surely as the sun rises, the LORD will appear. He will come to us like the rain, like the spring rain that waters the earth.”
4 “Ɛdeɛn na mɛtumi de wo ayɛ, Efraim? Ɛdeɛn na mɛtumi de wo ayɛ, Yuda? Mo dɔ te sɛ anɔpa bɔ, ɛte sɛ anɔpa bosuo a ɛtu yera.
“Ephraim, what shall I do to you? Judah, what shall I do to you? For your love is like a morning cloud, and like the dew that disappears early.
5 Mede mʼadiyifoɔ twitwaa mo mu asinasini, mede mʼanum nsɛm kunkumm mo; mʼatemmuo baa mo so sɛ anyinam.
Therefore I have cut them to pieces with the prophets; I killed them with the words of my mouth. Your judgments are like a flash of lightning.
6 Mepɛ ahummɔborɔ na ɛnyɛ afɔrebɔ, mepɛ Onyankopɔn ho nimdeɛ sene ɔhyeɛ afɔdeɛ.
For I desire mercy, and not sacrifice; and the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings.
7 Wɔabu apam no so sɛdeɛ Adam yɛeɛ. Wɔanni me nokorɛ wɔ hɔ.
But they, like Adam, have broken the covenant. They were unfaithful to me there.
8 Gilead yɛ atirimuɔdenfoɔ kuropɔn a mogya anammɔn akeka hɔ.
Gilead is a city of those who work iniquity; it is stained with blood.
9 Sɛdeɛ akwanmukafoɔ ka ɛkwan mu no saa ara na asɔfo kuo no nso yɛ; wɔdi awu wɔ Sekem kwantempɔn so yɛ nnebɔne a ɛyɛ animguaseɛ.
As gangs of robbers wait to ambush a man, so the company of priests murder on the path toward Shechem, committing shameful crimes.
10 Mahunu ahodwiredeɛ wɔ Israel fie. Ɛhɔ, Efraim kɔ adwamammɔ mu Israel gu ne ho fi.
In the house of Israel I have seen a horrible thing. There is prostitution in Ephraim. Israel is defiled.
11 “Na wo Yuda nso, wɔahyɛ otwa berɛ ama wo. “Ɛberɛ biara a mede me nkurɔfoɔ ahonya asane ama wɔn,
“Also, Judah, there is a harvest appointed for you, when I restore the fortunes of my people.
