1 Abraham waree ɔbaa foforɔ bi a ne din de Ketura.
And Abraham addeth and taketh a wife, and her name [is] Keturah;
2 Abraham ne Ketura wowoo saa mma a wɔn din didi so yi: Simran, Yoksan, Medan, Midian, Yisbak ne Sua.
and she beareth to him Zimran, and Jokshan, and Medan, and Midian, and Ishbak, and Shuah.
3 Yoksan woo Seba ne Dedan. Dedan asefoɔ ne Asurfoɔ, Letusfoɔ ne Leumfoɔ.
And Jokshan hath begotten Sheba and Dedan; and the sons of Dedan were Asshurim, and Letushim, and Leummim;
4 Midian woo Efa, Efer, Henok, Abida ne Eldaa. Yeinom nyinaa yɛ Ketura asefoɔ.
and the sons of Midian [are] Ephah, and Epher, and Hanoch, and Abidah, and Eldaah: all these [are] sons of Keturah.
5 Abraham de nʼagyapadeɛ nyinaa maa Isak.
And Abraham giveth all that he hath to Isaac;
6 Nanso, ɛberɛ a ɔte ase no, ɔmaa ne mpena mma akyɛdeɛ, na ɔyii wɔn firii ne babarima Isak nkyɛn, ma wɔkɔɔ apueeɛ fam asase bi so.
and to the sons of the concubines whom Abraham hath, Abraham hath given gifts, and sendeth them away from Isaac his son (in his being yet alive) eastward, unto the east country.
7 Abraham nkwanna nyinaa kɔsii mfeɛ ɔha aduɔson enum.
And these [are] the days of the years of the life of Abraham, which he lived, a hundred and seventy and five years;
8 Abraham nyini bɔɔ akɔkoraa posoposo ansa na ɔrewu akɔka ne mpanimfoɔ ho.
and Abraham expireth, and dieth in a good old age, aged and satisfied, and is gathered unto his people.
9 Ne mmammarima Isak ne Ismael siee no wɔ Makpela boda a ɛwɔ Efron no mu. Na ɛhɔ yɛ Hetini Sohar babarima no afuo a ɛwɔ Mamrɛ apueeɛ fam.
And Isaac and Ishmael his sons bury him at the cave of Machpelah, at the field of Ephron, son of Zoar the Hittite, which [is] before Mamre —
10 Yei ne asase a Abraham tɔ firii Hetifoɔ nkyɛn no. Ɛhɔ na wɔsiee Abraham ne ne yere Sara.
the field which Abraham bought from the sons of Heth — there hath Abraham been buried, and Sarah his wife.
11 Abraham wuo akyiri no, Onyankopɔn hyiraa ne ba Isak a na saa ɛberɛ no ɔte Beer-Lahai-Roi abura no ho no.
And it cometh to pass after the death of Abraham, that God blesseth Isaac his son; and Isaac dwelleth by the Well of the Living One, my Beholder.
12 Yei ne Abraham babarima Ismael a Sara afenaa Hagar a ɔyɛ Misraimni no woo no maa Abraham no asefoɔ ho asɛm.
And these [are] births of Ishmael, Abraham's son, whom Hagar the Egyptian, Sarah's handmaid, hath borne to Abraham;
13 Wɔn a wɔdidi so yi yɛ Ismael mmammarima a wɔabobɔ wɔn edin mpanin mu no. Na Nebaiot yɛ Ismael abakan. Wɔn a wɔdidi so yi nso yɛ Kedar, Adbeel, Mibsam,
and these [are] the names of the sons of Ishmael, by their names, according to their births: first-born of Ishmael, Nebajoth; and Kedar, and Adbeel, and Mibsam,
and Mishma, and Dumah, and Massa,
15 Hadad, Tema, Yetur, Nafis ne Kedema.
Hadar, and Tema, Jetur, Naphish, and Kedemah:
16 Saa edin a wɔabobɔ yi yɛ Ismael mmammarima no. Saa edin yi na ɛdeda mmusuakuo dumienu ne wɔn atenaeɛ so.
these are sons of Ishmael, and these their names, by their villages, and by their towers; twelve princes according to their peoples.
17 Ismael dii mfirinhyia ɔha aduasa nson ansa na ɔrewu. Ɔwuiɛ ma wɔsiee no wɔ ne nkurɔfoɔ mu.
And these [are] the years of the life of Ishmael, a hundred and thirty and seven years; and he expireth, and dieth, and is gathered unto his people;
18 Ismael asefoɔ yi tenatenaa nsase a ɛfiri Hawila kɔsi Sur a ɛbɛn Misraim pɛɛ wɔ Asiria ntenesoɔ. Daa na akokoakoko wɔ mmusuakuo yi ntam.
and they tabernacle from Havilah unto Shur, which [is] before Egypt, in [thy] going towards Asshur; in the presence of all his brethren hath he fallen.
19 Abraham babarima Isak ne nʼasefoɔ ho asɛm nie. Abraham woo Isak.
And these [are] births of Isaac, Abraham's son: Abraham hath begotten Isaac;
20 Isak dii mfirinhyia aduanan no, ɔwaree Rebeka a ɔyɛ Aramni Betuel a ɔfiri Paddan-Aram no babaa. Rebeka yɛ Aramni Laban nuabaa.
and Isaac is a son of forty years in his taking Rebekah, daughter of Bethuel the Aramaean, from Padan-Aram, sister of Laban the Aramaean, to him for a wife.
21 Isak waree Rebeka mfeɛ bebree a na wɔnwo. Enti, Isak bɔɔ Awurade mpaeɛ, srɛɛ ɔba maa ne yere. Akyire yi, Awurade tiee ne mpaeɛbɔ, maa ne yere Rebeka nyinsɛneeɛ.
And Isaac maketh entreaty to Jehovah before his wife, for she [is] barren: and Jehovah is entreated of him, and Rebekah his wife conceiveth,
22 Ɛberɛ a Rebeka nyinsɛneeɛ no, ɛtɔ da a, na mmɔfra no di apereapereɛ wɔ ne yafunu mu. Sɛ ɛba saa a, ɔbisa ne ho sɛ, “Ɛdeɛn na ɛreyɛ me yi?” Afei, ɔbɔɔ mpaeɛ bisaa Awurade nkyɛn asekyerɛ.
and the children struggle together within her, and she saith, 'If [it is] right — why [am] I thus?' and she goeth to seek Jehovah.
23 Awurade buaa no sɛ, “Aman mmienu na wɔwɔ wo yafunu mu. Wɔbɛtete nnipa baanu a wɔwɔ wo yafunu mu no mu. Mmɔfra baanu no, ɔbaako asefoɔ bɛyɛ ahoɔdenfoɔ asene ne nua a ɔka ne ho no asefoɔ. Na ɔpanin no bɛsom akumaa no.”
And Jehovah saith to her, 'Two nations [are] in thy womb, and two peoples from thy bowels are parted; and the [one] people than the [other] people is stronger; and the elder doth serve the younger.'
24 Rebeka awoɔ duruu so no, ɔwoo ntaten.
And her days to bear are fulfilled, and lo, twins [are] in her womb;
25 Na deɛ ɔdi ɛkan baeɛ no yɛ kɔkɔɔ a ne ho nwi yɛ kuhaa te sɛ deɛ ɔhyɛ nwi atadeɛ. Enti, wɔtoo no edin Esau.
and the first cometh out all red as a hairy robe, and they call his name Esau;
26 Yei akyiri no, ne nua no baeɛ. Na ne nsa kura Esau nantin; enti wɔtoo ne din Yakob. Rebeka woo wɔn no, na Isak adi mfeɛ aduosia.
and afterwards hath his brother come out, and his hand is taking hold on Esau's heel, and one calleth his name Jacob; and Isaac [is] a son of sixty years in her bearing them.
27 Mmɔfra no nyiniiɛ no, Esau bɛyɛɛ ɔbɔmmɔfoɔ a, ɔto a, ɔmfom. Na ɔyɛ ha fa wiram baabiara. Yakob nso bɛyɛɛ obi a ɔyɛ komm a ɔmpɛ ne ho asɛm. Na ɛberɛ biara, ɔpɛ sɛ ɔtena fie.
And the youths grew, and Esau is a man acquainted [with] hunting, a man of the field; and Jacob [is] a plain man, inhabiting tents;
28 Na Isak pɛ Esau asɛm yie, ɛfiri sɛ, na ɛberɛ biara ɔkɔyɛ ha de hanam a Isak pɛ ba fie. Nanso, na Rebeka deɛ, ɔpɛ Yakob asɛm.
and Isaac loveth Esau, for [his] hunting [is] in his mouth; and Rebekah is loving Jacob.
29 Ɛda bi a Esau firi wiram baeɛ a na ɛkɔm de no yie no, ɔbɛtoo sɛ ne nua kumaa Yakob nso renoa aduane bi a ani yɛ kɔkɔɔ na ɛyɛ akɔnnɔ nso.
And Jacob boileth pottage, and Esau cometh in from the field, and he [is] weary;
30 Ɔka kyerɛɛ Yakob sɛ, “Mesrɛ wo, ma me wʼaduane a woanoa yi bi nni!” (Ɛno enti na wɔfrɛ Esau sɛ Edom, a asekyerɛ ne ade kɔkɔɔ).
and Esau saith unto Jacob, 'Let me eat, I pray thee, some of this red red thing, for I [am] weary;' therefore hath [one] called his name Edom [Red];
31 Yakob buaa sɛ, “Tɔn wo panin no ma me ansa.”
and Jacob saith, 'Sell to-day thy birthright to me.'
32 Esau kaa sɛ, “Ɔkɔm rekum me, na mede panin reyɛ ɛdeɛn?”
And Esau saith, 'Lo, I am going to die, and what is this to me — birthright?'
33 Yakob buaa Esau sɛ, “Mate, ka ntam kyerɛ me wɔ Onyankopɔn anim sɛ, panin no yɛ me dea.” Esau kaa ntam no de tɔn ne panin no maa ne nua kumaa Yakob.
and Jacob saith, 'Swear to me to-day:' and he sweareth to him, and selleth his birthright to Jacob;
34 Enti, Yakob maa Esau aduane no bi, ma ɔdiiɛ. Ɔnom nsuo guu so, sɔre kɔɔ ne kwan. Yei ne ɛkwan a Esau faa so tɔn ne panin no.
and Jacob hath given to Esau bread and pottage of lentiles, and he eateth, and drinketh, and riseth, and goeth; and Esau despiseth the birthright.
