And his sons Isaac and Ishmael buried him in the cave of Machpelah, in the field of Ephron the son of Zohar the Hittite, which was opposite to Mamre —
10 Yei ne asase a Abraham tɔ firii Hetifoɔ nkyɛn no. Ɛhɔ na wɔsiee Abraham ne ne yere Sara.
the field that Abraham had purchased of the sons of Heth: there was Abraham buried, and Sarah his wife.
11 Abraham wuo akyiri no, Onyankopɔn hyiraa ne ba Isak a na saa ɛberɛ no ɔte Beer-Lahai-Roi abura no ho no.
And it came to pass after the death of Abraham, that God blessed his son Isaac. And Isaac dwelt at Beer-lahai-roi.
12 Yei ne Abraham babarima Ismael a Sara afenaa Hagar a ɔyɛ Misraimni no woo no maa Abraham no asefoɔ ho asɛm.
And these are the generations of Ishmael, Abraham's son, whom Hagar the Egyptian, Sarah's bondwoman, bore to Abraham.
13 Wɔn a wɔdidi so yi yɛ Ismael mmammarima a wɔabobɔ wɔn edin mpanin mu no. Na Nebaiot yɛ Ismael abakan. Wɔn a wɔdidi so yi nso yɛ Kedar, Adbeel, Mibsam,
And these are the names of the sons of Ishmael by their names according to their generations: Nebaioth, the firstborn of Ishmael; and Kedar, and Adbeel, and Mibsam,
and Mishma, and Dumah, and Massa,
15 Hadad, Tema, Yetur, Nafis ne Kedema.
Hadad and Tema, Jetur, Naphish and Kedmah.
16 Saa edin a wɔabobɔ yi yɛ Ismael mmammarima no. Saa edin yi na ɛdeda mmusuakuo dumienu ne wɔn atenaeɛ so.

And these are the years of the life of Ishmael: a hundred and thirty-seven years; and he expired and died, and was gathered to his peoples.

And they dwelt from Havilah to Shur, which is opposite to Egypt, as one goes towards Assyria. He settled before the face of all his brethren.
19 Abraham babarima Isak ne nʼasefoɔ ho asɛm nie. Abraham woo Isak.
And these are the generations of Isaac, Abraham's son. Abraham begot Isaac.
20 Isak dii mfirinhyia aduanan no, ɔwaree Rebeka a ɔyɛ Aramni Betuel a ɔfiri Paddan-Aram no babaa. Rebeka yɛ Aramni Laban nuabaa.
And Isaac was forty years old when he took Rebecca as wife, the daughter of Bethuel the Syrian of Padan-Aram, the sister of Laban the Syrian.
21 Isak waree Rebeka mfeɛ bebree a na wɔnwo. Enti, Isak bɔɔ Awurade mpaeɛ, srɛɛ ɔba maa ne yere. Akyire yi, Awurade tiee ne mpaeɛbɔ, maa ne yere Rebeka nyinsɛneeɛ.
And Isaac entreated Jehovah for his wife, because she was barren; and Jehovah was entreated of him, and Rebecca his wife conceived.
22 Ɛberɛ a Rebeka nyinsɛneeɛ no, ɛtɔ da a, na mmɔfra no di apereapereɛ wɔ ne yafunu mu. Sɛ ɛba saa a, ɔbisa ne ho sɛ, “Ɛdeɛn na ɛreyɛ me yi?” Afei, ɔbɔɔ mpaeɛ bisaa Awurade nkyɛn asekyerɛ.
And the children struggled together within her; and she said, If [it be] so, why am I thus? And she went to inquire of Jehovah.
23 Awurade buaa no sɛ, “Aman mmienu na wɔwɔ wo yafunu mu. Wɔbɛtete nnipa baanu a wɔwɔ wo yafunu mu no mu. Mmɔfra baanu no, ɔbaako asefoɔ bɛyɛ ahoɔdenfoɔ asene ne nua a ɔka ne ho no asefoɔ. Na ɔpanin no bɛsom akumaa no.”
And Jehovah said to her, Two nations are in thy womb, And two peoples shall be separated from thy bowels; And one people shall be stronger than the other people, And the elder shall serve the younger.
24 Rebeka awoɔ duruu so no, ɔwoo ntaten.
And when her days to be delivered were fulfilled, behold, there were twins in her womb.
25 Na deɛ ɔdi ɛkan baeɛ no yɛ kɔkɔɔ a ne ho nwi yɛ kuhaa te sɛ deɛ ɔhyɛ nwi atadeɛ. Enti, wɔtoo no edin Esau.
And the first came out red — all over like a hairy garment; and they called his name Esau.
26 Yei akyiri no, ne nua no baeɛ. Na ne nsa kura Esau nantin; enti wɔtoo ne din Yakob. Rebeka woo wɔn no, na Isak adi mfeɛ aduosia.
And after that came his brother out; and his hand took hold of Esau's heel; and his name was called Jacob. And Isaac was sixty years old when they were born.
27 Mmɔfra no nyiniiɛ no, Esau bɛyɛɛ ɔbɔmmɔfoɔ a, ɔto a, ɔmfom. Na ɔyɛ ha fa wiram baabiara. Yakob nso bɛyɛɛ obi a ɔyɛ komm a ɔmpɛ ne ho asɛm. Na ɛberɛ biara, ɔpɛ sɛ ɔtena fie.
And the boys grew, and Esau became a man skilled in hunting, a man of the field; and Jacob was a homely man, dwelling in tents.
And Isaac loved Esau, because venison was to his taste; and Rebecca loved Jacob.
29 Ɛda bi a Esau firi wiram baeɛ a na ɛkɔm de no yie no, ɔbɛtoo sɛ ne nua kumaa Yakob nso renoa aduane bi a ani yɛ kɔkɔɔ na ɛyɛ akɔnnɔ nso.
And Jacob had cooked a dish; and Esau came from the field, and he was faint.
30 Ɔka kyerɛɛ Yakob sɛ, “Mesrɛ wo, ma me wʼaduane a woanoa yi bi nni!” (Ɛno enti na wɔfrɛ Esau sɛ Edom, a asekyerɛ ne ade kɔkɔɔ).
And Esau said to Jacob, Feed me, I pray thee, with the red — the red thing there, for I am faint. Therefore was his name called Edom.
31 Yakob buaa sɛ, “Tɔn wo panin no ma me ansa.”
And Jacob said, Sell me now thy birthright.
32 Esau kaa sɛ, “Ɔkɔm rekum me, na mede panin reyɛ ɛdeɛn?”
And Esau said, Behold, I am going to die, and of what use can the birthright be to me?
33 Yakob buaa Esau sɛ, “Mate, ka ntam kyerɛ me wɔ Onyankopɔn anim sɛ, panin no yɛ me dea.” Esau kaa ntam no de tɔn ne panin no maa ne nua kumaa Yakob.
And Jacob said, Swear unto me now. And he swore unto him, and sold his birthright to Jacob.
34 Enti, Yakob maa Esau aduane no bi, ma ɔdiiɛ. Ɔnom nsuo guu so, sɔre kɔɔ ne kwan. Yei ne ɛkwan a Esau faa so tɔn ne panin no.
And Jacob gave Esau bread and the dish of lentils; and he ate and drank, and rose up and went away. Thus Esau despised the birthright.
