< Galatifoɔ 3 >
1 Mo Galatifoɔ adwenemherɛfoɔ! Hwan na ɔdanee mo adwene saa? Mo ara mo anim na wɔkyerɛɛ mu pefee sɛ wɔbɔɔ Yesu Kristo asɛnnua mu.
Foolish Galatians, who has cunningly deceived you, before whose eyes Jesus Christ was openly set forth as crucified?
2 Mommua me saa asɛm yi: Moyɛɛ deɛ Mmara no hwehwɛ sɛ monyɛ ansa na Onyankopɔn Honhom no reba mo so? Anaasɛ motiee Asɛmpa no gye diiɛ ansa?
I just want to learn this from you. Did you receive the Spirit by the works of the law, or by hearing of faith?
3 Saa na mo adwene mu yɛ herɛ? Mode Onyankopɔn Honhom firii aseɛ; afei mopɛ sɛ mode mo ara mo tumi wie?
Are you so foolish? Having begun in the Spirit, are you now completed in the flesh?
4 Mo suahunu yi nyinaa ho amma mfasoɔ biara? Mennye nni saa.
Did you suffer so many things in vain, if it is indeed in vain?
5 Onyankopɔn nam mmara no so na ɔde ne Honhom no maa mo anaa? Anaasɛ ɔnam mmara no so na ɔyɛɛ anwanwadeɛ wɔ mo mu anaa? Ɛnyɛ asɛm no gye a mogye diiɛ nti?
He therefore who supplies the Spirit to you, and works miracles among you, does he do it by the works of the law, or by hearing of faith?
6 Atwerɛsɛm no kaa Abraham ho asɛm sɛ, “Ɔgyee Onyankopɔn diiɛ na ɛsiane ne gyidie enti, Onyankopɔn gyee no sɛ onipa tenenee.”
Even as Abraham "believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness."
7 Enti ɛsɛ sɛ mote aseɛ sɛ, nnipa a wɔwɔ gyidie no na wɔyɛ Abraham asefoɔ turodoo.
Know therefore that those who are of faith, the same are sons of Abraham.
8 Atwerɛsɛm no dii ɛkan hunuu sɛ Onyankopɔn nam gyidie so bɛbu amanamanmufoɔ no bem. Yei enti, Atwerɛsɛm no dii ɛkan kaa Asɛmpa no kyerɛɛ Abraham sɛ, “Ɛnam wo so na Onyankopɔn bɛhyira nnipa a wɔwɔ asase so nyinaa.”
The Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the non-Jews by faith, preached the Good News beforehand to Abraham, saying, "Through you all the nations will be blessed."
9 Abraham gye diiɛ, na wɔhyiraa no, na wɔn a wɔgye di nyinaa nso, wɔahyira wɔn sɛdeɛ wɔhyiraa no no.
So then, those who are of faith are blessed with the faithful Abraham.
10 Wɔadome obiara a ɔde ne ho bɛto ne nnwuma a ɛfiri mmara no mu so. Ɛfiri sɛ wɔatwerɛ sɛ, “Wɔadome obiara a wankɔ so anni deɛ wɔatwerɛ wɔ Mmara Nwoma mu no nyinaa so.”
For as many as are of the works of the law are under a curse. For it is written, "Cursed is everyone who does not continue in all things that are written in the book of the law, to do them."
11 Afei, akyinnyeɛ biara nni ho sɛ obiara rentumi mfa mmara no so die nsɔ Onyankopɔn ani. Atwerɛsɛm no ka sɛ, “Ɛnam gyidie so na ɔteneneeni bɛnya nkwa.”
Now it is evident that no one is justified by the law before God, for, "The righteous will live by faith."
12 Mmara no nnyinasoɔ nnyɛ gyidie; ɛfiri sɛ, wɔatwerɛ sɛ, deɛ ɔdi mmara no so bɛnya nkwa.
The law is not of faith, but, "The one who does them will live by them."
13 Ɛno enti na Kristo agye yɛn afiri nnome a Mmara no de brɛɛ yɛn no mu. Wayɛ nnome ama yɛn sɛdeɛ Atwerɛsɛm no ka sɛ, “Obiara a wɔbɛsɛn no dua so no hyɛ Onyankopɔn nnome ase.”
Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us. For it is written, "Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree,"
14 Kristo gyee yɛn sɛdeɛ ɛbɛyɛ a, nhyira a wɔhyiraa Abraham no nam Kristo so bɛba amanamanmufoɔ so, na yɛnam gyidie so anya Honhom a wɔhyɛɛ yɛn ho bɔ no.
that the blessing of Abraham might come on the non-Jews through Christ Jesus; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.
15 Anuanom, mede yɛn asetena mu asɛm bi bɛyɛ nhwɛsoɔ: Sɛ nnipa baanu bi pene asɛm bi so na wɔyɛ ho apam a, obiara rentumi mmu apam no so na wɔrentumi mfa biribi nka ho.
Brothers, I am speaking in human terms. Though it is only a human covenant, once it has been ratified, no one annuls it or adds to it.
16 Onyankopɔn hyɛɛ Abraham ne nʼaseni bɔ. Atwerɛsɛm no nnka sɛ, “Wo ne wʼasefoɔ” a ɛkyerɛ nnipa bebree. Ɛka sɛ, “Wo ne wʼaseni” a ɛkyerɛ sɛ onipa baako a ɔno ne Kristo no.
Now the promises were spoken to Abraham and to his offspring. He does not say, "And to offsprings," as of many, but as of one, "And to your offspring," which is Christ.
17 Mekyerɛ sɛ: Onyankopɔn yɛɛ apam na ɔhyɛɛ bɔ sɛ ɔbɛdi so. Mmara no a ɛbaa akyire no ntumi nsesa anaa ɛrentumi ntwa bɔ a Onyankopɔn hyɛɛ mfirinhyia ahanan ne aduasa ansa na ɔde Mmara no maaeɛ, no mu.
Now I say this: the law, which came four hundred thirty years later, does not annul a covenant previously ratified by God, so as to cancel the promise.
18 Na sɛ nhyira a Onyankopɔn de maaeɛ no gyina Mmara so a, ɛnneɛ na ɛnyɛ bɔhyɛ bio. Nanso Onyankopɔn firi nʼadom mu, nam bɔhyɛ so de agyapadeɛ no maa Abraham.
For if the inheritance is of the law, it is no more of promise; but God has granted it to Abraham by promise.
What then is the law? It was added because of transgressions, until the offspring should come to whom the promise has been made. It was ordained through angels by the hand of a mediator.
20 Yɛnim sɛ ntamgyinafoɔ ho hia ma nnipa baanu anaa deɛ ɛboro saa, nanso Onyankopɔn a ɔyɛ baako amfa ntamugyinafoɔ ɛberɛ a ɔhyɛɛ Abraham bɔ no.
Now a mediator is not between one, but God is one.
21 Yei kyerɛ sɛ Mmara no tia Onyankopɔn bɔhyɛ no anaa? Dabi! Sɛ mmara bi wɔ hɔ a ɛtumi ma nnipa nkwa a, ɛnneɛ anka onipa nam saa mmara no so bɛtumi atene wɔ Onyankopɔn anim.
Is the law then against the promises of God? Certainly not. For if there had been a law given which could give life, most certainly righteousness would have been of the law.
22 Nanso, Atwerɛsɛm no aka sɛ, ewiase nyinaa hyɛ bɔne tumi ase. Ɛno enti, akyɛdeɛ a wɔhyɛɛ ho bɔ no, wɔnam Yesu Kristo so nko ara de bɛma wɔn a wɔgye di no.
But the Scriptures imprisoned all things under sin, that the promise by faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe.
23 Ansa na gyidie no reba no, Mmara no too yɛn mpɔkyerɛ kɔsii sɛ wɔbɛdaa gyidie no adi.
But before faith came, we were kept in custody under the law, confined for the faith which should afterwards be revealed.
24 Enti, Mmara no na ɛhyɛɛ yɛn so kɔsii sɛ Kristo baeɛ sɛdeɛ ɛbɛyɛ a, wɔnam gyidie so bɛbu yɛn bem.
So that the law was our tutor to bring us to Christ, that we might be justified by faith.
25 Afei a berɛ aduru sɛ yɛgye Kristo di no, Mmara no nni yɛn so tumi bio.
But now that faith has come, we are no longer under a tutor.
26 Ɛnam gyidie so enti na mo nyinaa yɛ Onyankopɔn mma a mo ne Kristo Yesu aka abom no.
For you are all sons of God, through faith in Christ Jesus.
27 Wɔbɔɔ mo asu hyɛɛ Kristo mu enti, moafa Kristo mu nnepa no ato mo ho so.
For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ.
28 Yɛnni Yudani anaa Helani, yɛnni akoa anaa ɔdehyeɛ, yɛnni ɔbarima anaa ɔbaa, na mo nyinaa yɛ onipa korɔ wɔ Kristo Yesu mu.
There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus.
29 Enti sɛ moyɛ Kristo dea a, na moyɛ Abraham asefoɔ, na bɔhyɛ no enti, moyɛ adedifoɔ nso.
If you are Christ's, then you are Abraham's offspring and heirs according to promise.
