< Galatifoɔ 1 >
1 Me Paulo, ɔsomafoɔ a ɛnyɛ nnipa anaa onipa bi na ɔfrɛɛ me, na mmom ɛyɛ Yesu Kristo ne Agya Onyankopɔn a ɔnyanee no firii awufoɔ mu no.
This letter comes from Paul, an apostle not appointed by any human organization or human authority. Quite the contrary: I was appointed by Jesus Christ and God the Father who raised Jesus from the dead.
2 Me ne anuanom a wɔne me wɔ ha nyinaa, De krataa yi kɔma Galati asafo ahodoɔ no nyinaa:
All the brothers and sisters here with me join in sending this letter to the churches in Galatia.
3 Adom ne asomdwoeɛ a ɛfiri yɛn Agya Onyankopɔn ne Awurade Yesu Kristo nka mo.
May the grace and peace of God the Father and our Lord Jesus Christ be with you!
4 Yɛn bɔne enti, Kristo yɛɛ ɔsetie maa yɛn Agya Onyankopɔn. Ɔnam so de ne ho bɔɔ afɔdeɛ de gyee yɛn firii bɔne a yɛwɔ mu ɛnnɛ yi mu. (aiōn )
Jesus gave himself for our sins to set us free from this current world of evil, following the will of our God and Father. (aiōn )
5 Animuonyam nka Onyankopɔn daa nyinaa. Amen. (aiōn )
To him be glory forever and ever! Amen. (aiōn )
6 Mo ho yɛ me nwanwa! Ɛnkyɛree koraa, morepa deɛ ɔnam Kristo adom so frɛɛ mo no akɔ asɛmpa foforɔ ho.
I'm shocked at how quickly you're abandoning the God who by the grace of Christ called you. You are turning to a different kind of good news
7 Nokorɛm, asɛmpa foforɔ biara nni baabi, nanso meka ɛfiri sɛ, nnipa bi wɔ hɔ a wɔredane mo adwene pɛ sɛ wɔsesa Kristo Asɛmpa no.
that isn't good news at all! Some people there are confusing you, wanting to pervert the good news of Christ.
8 Na sɛ yɛn, anaa ɔbɔfoɔ firi ɔsoro bɛka asɛmpa a nsonsonoeɛ da ɛno ne yɛn Asɛmpa no ntam a, onii no bɛkɔ afɔbuo a ɛnni awieeɛ mu.
But if anyone, even we ourselves, or even an angel from heaven, should promote any other kind of good news than what we have already told you, let them be condemned!
9 Yɛaka dada na mereti mu bio sɛ: Obiara a ɔbɛka asɛmpa a ɛne Asɛmpa a moagye atom no bɔ abira no bɛkɔ afɔbuo a ɛnni awieeɛ mu.
I repeat what we've told you before: if anyone promotes any other kind of good news than what you've already accepted, let them be condemned!
10 Deɛ nnipa pene so na mereyɛ yi anaa? Dabi! Mepɛ deɛ Onyankopɔn pene so! Anaa mereyɛ deɛ ɛsɔ nnipa ani? Sɛ megu so yɛ saa deɛ a, na menyɛ Kristo ɔsomfoɔ.
Whose approval do you think I want—that of people, or of God? Do you think I'm trying to please people? If I wanted to please people I wouldn't be a servant of Christ!
11 Anuanom, mepɛ sɛ mote aseɛ sɛ, Asɛmpa a meka kyerɛ mo no mfiri onipa hɔ.
Let me make it clear, my friends, regarding the good news I'm declaring—it did not come from any human being.
12 Me nsa anka amfiri onipa nkyɛn. Saa ara nso na ɛnyɛ onipa na ɔkyerɛɛ me. Ɛyɛ Kristo no ankasa na ɔdaa no adi kyerɛɛ me.
I didn't receive it from anyone, and nobody taught it to me—it was Jesus Christ who revealed it to me.
13 Moate sɛ na mesɛe mʼadagyeɛ nyinaa wɔ Yudasom ho. Afei, moate nso sɛ na mede atirimuɔden taa Onyankopɔn akyidifoɔ, na mefaa ɛkwan biara a mɛtumi so pɛɛ sɛ metɔre wɔn ase.
You heard how I behaved as a follower of the Jewish religion—how I fanatically persecuted God's church, savagely trying to destroy it.
14 Mʼafɛfoɔ Yudafoɔ no deɛ, na mʼadwene mu abue wɔ Yudasom ho sene wɔn nyinaa. Na mekura yɛn nananom amanneɛ nso mu dendeenden.
I surpassed my contemporaries in the practice of the Jewish religion because I was so fervently devoted to the traditions of my ancestors.
15 Nanso, Onyankopɔn nam nʼadom so frɛɛ me ansa na wɔrewo me sɛ memmɛsom no. Na berɛ no soo
But when God (who had set me apart from birth) called me through his grace, and was pleased
16 sɛ ɔbɛda ne Ba no adi akyerɛ me, sɛdeɛ ɛbɛyɛ a mɛka Asɛmpa a ɛfa ne ho akyerɛ amanamanmufoɔ no, mankɔ obiara nkyɛn amma wantu me fo;
to reveal his Son to me so that I could announce the good news to the nations, I didn't discuss this with anyone.
17 saa ara nso na mankɔ Yerusalem mankɔhunu asomafoɔ a na wɔdi mʼanim ɛkan no. Mmom, mekɔɔ Arabia prɛko pɛ ɛnna mesane mʼakyi baa Damasko.
I didn't go to Jerusalem to talk to those who preceded me as apostles; instead I left for Arabia, and then later returned to Damascus.
18 Mfeɛ mmiɛnsa akyi na mekɔɔ Petro nkyɛn wɔ Yerusalem ne no kɔdii nkɔmmɔ. Medii ne nkyɛn dadu nnanum.
After three years I went to Jerusalem to visit Peter. I stayed with him for two weeks.
19 Manhunu ɔsomafoɔ biara wɔ hɔ ka Awurade nua Yakobo ho.
I didn't see any other apostles except James, the Lord's brother.
20 Meka kyerɛ mo, Onyankopɔn anim sɛ deɛ meretwerɛ yi yɛ nokorɛ trodoo.
(Let me assure you before God that I'm not lying about what I'm writing to you!)
21 Ɛno akyi, mebaa Siria ne Kilikia.
Then I went to Syria and Cilicia.
22 Saa ɛberɛ no na Kristo asafo ahodoɔ a wɔwɔ Yudea no mu nnipa nnim me.
Even so, my face wasn't known to those in the churches of Judea.
23 Nsɛm a na wɔaka afa me ho sɛ, “Afei deɛ, ɔbarima no a na ɔtaa yɛn no ka gyidie a na ɔpɛ sɛ ɔsɛe no no ho asɛm.”
They had only heard people say, “The man who used to persecute us is now spreading the faith he once tried to destroy!”
24 Na me enti, wɔhyɛɛ Onyankopɔn animuonyam.
—and they praised God because of me.
