< Hesekiel 36 >

1 “Onipa ba, hyɛ nkɔm kyerɛ Israel mmepɔ na ka sɛ: ‘Israel mmepɔ, montie Awurade asɛm.
And you, son of man, prophesy to the mountains of Israel, and say to the mountains of Israel, Hear you the word of the Lord:
2 Yei ne deɛ Otumfoɔ Awurade seɛ: Sɛe na ɔtamfoɔ no ka faa wo ho, “Ahaa! Tete sorɔnsorɔmmea no abɛyɛ yɛn dea.”’
Thus says the Lord God; Because the enemy has said against you, Aha, the old waste places are become a possession for us:
3 Ɛno enti, hyɛ nkɔm na ka sɛ, ‘Yei ne deɛ Otumfoɔ Awurade seɛ: Esiane sɛ wɔasɛe mo na wɔataataa mo wɔ afa nyinaa, na ɛno enti mobɛyɛɛ aman a aka no agyapadeɛ ne ahohoradeɛ a ɛda wɔn a wɔsi wo atwetwe ano,
therefore prophesy, and say, Thus says the Lord God; Because you have been dishonored, and hated by those round about you, that you might be a possession to the remainder of the nations, and you became a byword, and a reproach to the nations:
4 ɛno enti, Israel mmepɔ, montie Otumfoɔ Awurade asɛm: Yei ne deɛ Otumfoɔ Awurade ka kyerɛ mmepɔ ne nkokoɔ, subɔnka ne bɔnhwa, mmubuiɛ a ada mpan ne deɛ ayɛ afo, fomfa nkuro a animguaseɛ aka wɔn wɔ aman no nkaeɛ a atwa wɔn ho ahyia no mu.
therefore, you mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Lord; Thus says the Lord to the mountains, and to the hills, and to the streams, and to the valleys, and to [the places] that have been made desolate and destroyed, and to the cities that have been deserted, and have become a spoil and a trampling to the nations that were left round about;
5 Yei ne deɛ Otumfoɔ Awurade seɛ: Mefiri anem a emu yɛ den mu akasa atia amanaman a aka no ne Edom nyinaa, ɛfiri sɛ wɔde fɛdie ne adwemmɔne ayɛ me ɔman wɔn agyapadeɛ sɛdeɛ wɔbɛtumi afom nʼadidibea.’
therefore, thus says the Lord; Verily in the fire of my wrath have I spoken against the rest of the nations, and against all Idumea, because they have appropriated my land to themselves for a possession with joy, disregarding the lives [of the inhabitants], to destroy [it] by plunder:
6 Ɛno enti, hyɛ nkɔm a ɛfa Israel asase ho, na ka kyerɛ mmepɔ ne nkokoɔ, subɔnhwa ne bɔnhwa sɛ, ‘Yei ne deɛ Otumfoɔ Awurade seɛ: Mede ninkunutweɛ mu anibereɛ kasa, ɛfiri sɛ amanaman no abu wo animtiaa.
therefore prophesy concerning the land of Israel, and say to the mountains, and to the hills, and to the valleys, and to the forests, Thus says the Lord; Behold, I have spoken in my jealousy and in my wrath, because you have borne the reproaches of the heathen:
7 Enti yei ne deɛ Otumfoɔ Awurade seɛ: Mema me nsa so ka ntam sɛ amanaman a atwa wo ho ahyia no nso, wɔbɛbu wɔn animtiaa.
therefore I will lift up my hand against the nations that are round about you; they shall bear their reproach.
8 “‘Nanso mo, Israel mmepɔ, mobɛnya mman, aso aba ama me nkurɔfoɔ Israelfoɔ, ɛfiri sɛ ɛrenkyɛre wɔbɛba efie.
But your grapes and your fruits, O mountains of Israel, shall my people eat; for they are hoping to come.
9 Mo ho hia me na mɛhunu mo mmɔbɔ; wɔbɛfuntum mo na wɔadua mo so aba,
For, behold, I am toward you, and I will have respect to you, and you shall be tilled and sown:
10 na mɛma wo so nnipa adɔɔso. Israel efie nyinaa mpo, nnipa bɛtena wo nkuro no so bio, na wɔbɛsisi mmubuiɛ no nso.
and I will multiply men upon you, [even] all the house of Israel to the end: and the cities shall be inhabited, and the desolate land shall be built upon.
11 Israel mmepɔ, mɛma mmarima ne mmoa adɔɔso mo so na wɔbɛwowo na wɔadɔre, mɛma nnipa atena wo mu te sɛ kane no na wɔbɛma woadi yie asene kane no. Na afei mobɛhunu sɛ mene Awurade no.
And I will multiply men and cattle upon you; and I will cause you to dwell as at the beginning, and will treat you well, as in your former [times]: and you shall know that I am the Lord.
12 Mɛma nkurɔfoɔ, me nkurɔfoɔ Israelfoɔ, anante wo so. Wɔbɛfa wo na wobɛyɛ wɔn agyapadeɛ na woremma wɔnni mmakuna bio.
And I will increase men upon you, [even] my people Israel; and they shall inherit you, and you shall be to them for a possession; and you shall no more be bereaved of them.
13 “‘Yei ne deɛ Otumfoɔ Awurade seɛ: Esiane sɛ nkurɔfoɔ ka kyerɛ wo sɛ, “Israel asase, wokum nnipa we na woma wo ɔman no hwere nʼadehyeɛ” enti,
Thus says the Lord God: Because they said to you, You [land] devour men, and have been bereaved of your nation;
14 worenkum nnipa nwe bio na woremma wo ɔman nhwere nʼadehyeɛ bio, Otumfoɔ Awurade asɛm nie.
therefore you shall no more devour men, and you shall no more bereave your nation, says the Lord God.
15 Meremma wo nte amanaman no fɛdie bio, na worenhunu nkurɔfoɔ no animtiabuo bio, na wo ɔman nso renhwe ase bio, Otumfoɔ Awurade asɛm nie.’”
And there shall no more be heard against you the reproach of the nations, and you shall no more bear the revilings of the peoples, says the Lord God.
16 Awurade asɛm baa me nkyɛn sɛ,
And the word of the Lord came to me, saying,
17 “Onipa ba, ɛberɛ a Israelfoɔ te wɔn ankasa asase soɔ no, wɔde wɔn abrabɔ ne wɔn nneyɛɛ guu asase no ho fi. Na wɔn abrabɔ te sɛ ɔbaa bosome nsabuo wɔ mʼani so.
Son of man, the house of Israel lived upon their land, and defiled it by their way, and with their idols, and with their uncleannesses; and their way was before me like the uncleanness of a removed woman.
18 Enti mehwiee mʼabufuhyeɛ guu wɔn so ɛfiri sɛ wahwie mogya agu asase no so na wɔde wɔn abosom agu hɔ fi.
So I poured out my wrath upon them:
19 Mebɔɔ wɔn petee amanaman no so na wɔhwetee wɔn guu nsase no so; megyinaa wɔn abrabɔ ne wɔn nneyɛɛ so buu wɔn atɛn.
and I dispersed them among the nations, and utterly scattered them through the countries: I judged them according to their way and according to their sin.
20 Na baabiara a wɔkɔɔ wɔ amanaman mu no, wɔguu me din kronkron ho fi, ɛfiri sɛ wɔkaa wɔ wɔn ho sɛ, ‘Yeinom yɛ Awurade nkurɔfoɔ, nanso na ɛsɛ sɛ wɔfiri nʼasase so.’
And they went in among the nations, among which they went, and they profaned my holy name, while it was said of them, These are the people of the Lord, and they came forth out of his land.
21 Me din kronkron ho hia me, deɛ Israel efie guu ho fi wɔ amanaman a wɔkɔɔ so mu no.
But I spared them for the sake of my holy name, which the house of Israel profaned among the nations, among whom they went.
22 “Ɛno enti, ka kyerɛ Israel efie sɛ, ‘Yei ne deɛ Otumfoɔ Awurade seɛ: Israel efie, ɛnyɛ mo enti na merebɛyɛ saa nneɛma yi, na mmom me din kronkron no enti, deɛ moguu ho fi wɔ amanaman a mokɔɔ so mu no.
Therefore say to the house of Israel, Thus says the Lord; I do not this, O house of Israel, for your sakes, but because of my holy name, which you have profaned among the nations, among whom you went.
23 Mɛda me din kɛseyɛ no kronkronyɛ a woagu ho fi wɔ amanaman mu no adi, edin a woagu ho fi wɔ wɔn mu no. Sɛ mefa wo so da me ho adi sɛ ɔkronkronni ma wɔhunu a, afei amanaman no bɛhunu sɛ mene Awurade no, Otumfoɔ Awurade asɛm nie.
And I will sanctify my great name, which was profaned among the nations, which you profaned in the midst of them; and the nations shall know that I am the Lord, when I am sanctified among you before their eyes.
24 “‘Na mɛyi wo afiri amanaman no mu, mɛboaboa mo ano afiri nsase no nyinaa so de mo asane aba mo ankasa asase so.
And I will take you out from the nations, and will gather you out of all the lands, and will bring you into your own land:
25 Mede nsuo korɔgyenn bɛpete mo so na mo ho ate: Mɛte mo ho afiri nkekaawa ne mo ahoni nyinaa ho.
and I will sprinkle clean water upon you, and you shall be purged from all your uncleannesses, and from all your idols, and I will cleanse you.
26 Mɛma wo akoma foforɔ na mede honhom foforɔ ahyɛ wo mu. Mɛyi akoma a ɛte sɛ ɛboɔ no afiri wo mu na mama wo akoma foforɔ a ɛte sɛ honam.
And I will give you a new heart, and will put a new spirit in you: and I will take away the heart of stone out of your flesh, and will give you a heart of flesh.
27 Na mede me Honhom bɛhyɛ wo mu na mama woadi mʼahyɛdeɛ so na woahwɛ adi me mmara so.
And I will put my Spirit in you, and will cause you to walk in mine ordinances, and to keep my judgments, and do [them].
28 Mobɛtena asase a mede maa mo agyanom no so. Mobɛyɛ me nkurɔfoɔ na mayɛ mo Onyankopɔn.
And you shall dwell upon the land which I gave to your fathers; and you shall be to me a people, and I will be to you a God.
29 Mɛprapra mo ho fi nyinaa. Mɛma aduane aba ama abu so na meremma ɛkɔm mma mo so.
And I will save you from all your uncleannesses: and I will call for the corn, and multiply it, and will not bring famine upon you.
30 Mɛma nnua so aba ayɛ bebree na mfuo nso abɔ nnɔbaeɛ sɛdeɛ ɛkɔm enti mo anim rengu ase bio wɔ amanaman no mu.
And I will multiply the fruit of the trees, and the produce of the field, that you may not bear the reproach of famine among the nations.
31 Afei, wobɛkae wʼakwammɔne ne wʼamumuyɛ, na wo bɔne ne akyiwadeɛ enti, wo ho bɛyɛ wo nwunu.
And you shall remember your evil ways and your practices that were not good, and you shall be hateful in your own sight for your transgressions and for your abominations.
32 Mepɛ sɛ mohunu sɛ ɛnyɛ mo enti na mereyɛ yei, Otumfoɔ Awurade asɛm nie. Momfɛre na momma mo ani nnwu wɔ mo abrabɔ ho, Ao Israel efie.
Not for your sakes do I [this], says the Lord God, [as] it is known to you: be you ashamed and confounded for your ways, O house of Israel.
33 “‘Yei ne deɛ Otumfoɔ Awurade seɛ: Ɛda a mɛte mo ho afiri mo bɔne ho no, mɛma nnipa atena mo nkuro so bio na wɔbɛsisi mmubuiɛ no bio.
Thus says the Lord God; In the day wherein I shall cleanse you from all your iniquities I will also cause the cities to be inhabited, and the waste [places] shall be built upon:
34 Asase a ada mpan no, wɔbɛdua so nneɛma na ɛrenna hɔ kwa sɛdeɛ na ɛteɛ wɔ wɔn a na wɔtwam hɔ no ani soɔ no.
and the desolate land shall be cultivated, whereas it was desolate in the eyes of every one that passed by.
35 Wɔbɛka sɛ, “Saa asase a ada mpan yi ayɛ sɛ Eden turo. Nkuropɔn a na adane mmubuiɛ, ayɛ afoafo na asɛe yi, wɔabɔ ho ban na nnipa abɛtenatena mu.”
And they shall say, That desolate land is become like a garden of delight; and the waste and desolate and ruined cities are inhabited.
36 Afei aman a aka a atwa wo ho ahyia no bɛhunu sɛ me Awurade, makyekyere deɛ na asɛeɛ na madua wɔ deɛ na ada mpan soɔ, me Awurade na maka na mɛyɛ.’
And the nations, as many as shall have been left round about you, shall know that I the Lord have built the ruined [cities] and planted the waste [lands]: I the Lord have spoken, and will do [it].
37 “Yei ne deɛ Otumfoɔ Awurade seɛ: Mɛtie Israel efie abisadeɛ na mayɛ yei ama wɔn; Mɛma wɔn nkurɔfoɔ adɔɔso sɛ nnwan,
Thus says the Lord God; Yet [for] this will I be sought by the house of Israel, to establish them; I will multiply them [even] men as sheep;
38 wɔbɛdɔɔso sɛ nnwankuo a wɔde wɔn kɔ Yerusalem sɛ afɔrebɔdeɛ wɔ afahyɛ nna. Saa ara na nnipa dodoɔ bɛhyɛ nkuropɔn a abubuo no so ma. Afei wɔbɛhunu sɛ mene Awurade no.”
as holy sheep, as the sheep of Jerusalem in her feasts; thus shall the desert cities be full of flocks of men: and they shall know that I [am] the Lord.
