< Hesekiel 32 >
1 Mfeɛ dumienu mu, bosome a ɛtɔ so dumienu no ɛda a ɛdi ɛkan no, Awurade asɛm baa me nkyɛn sɛ:
And it came to pass in the twelfth year, in the tenth month, on the first [day] of the month, [that] the word of the Lord came to me, saying,
2 “Onipa ba, to kwadwom fa Misraimhene Farao ho na ka kyerɛ no sɛ: “‘Wote sɛ gyata wɔ aman no mu: wote sɛ ɛpo mu aboa a ne ho yɛ hu wobubu afuni wɔ wo asutene mu, wode wo nan boro asutene no de hono nsuo no.
Son of man, take up a lamentation for Pharao king of Egypt, and say to him, You are become like a lion of the nations, and as a serpent that is in the sea: and you did make assaults with your rivers, and did disturb the water with your feet, and did trample your rivers.
3 “‘Yei ne deɛ Otumfoɔ Awurade seɛ: “‘Mede nipadɔm bɛba abɛto mʼasau agu wo so, na wɔbɛtwe wo afiri mʼasau mu.
Thus says the Lord; I will also cast over you the nets of many nations, and will bring you up with my hook:
4 Mɛto wo atwene asase no so na mahuri wo ato ɛserɛ so. Mɛma ewiem nnomaa nyinaa abɛsisi wo so na asase so mmoa nyinaa adi wo nam ɔherɛ so.
and I will stretch you upon the earth: the fields shall be covered [with you], and I will cause all the birds of the sky to settle upon you, and I will fill [with you] all the wild beasts of the earth.
5 Mɛhata wo nam wɔ mmepɔ no so na mede wo funu ahyɛ mmɔnhwa ma.
And I will cast your flesh upon the mountains, and will saturate [them] with your blood.
6 Mede wo mogya a ɛretene no bɛfɔ asase no de akɔka mmepɔ no na wonam bɛhyɛ abɔn nketewa no ma.
And the land shall be drenched with your dung, because of your multitude upon the mountains: I will fill the valleys with you.
7 Sɛ metwa wo firi hɔ a, mɛkata ɔsoro ani na madundum wɔn nsoromma; mede omununkum bɛkata owia ani, na ɔsrane renhyerɛn.
And I will veil the heavens when you are extinguished, and will darken the stars thereof; I will cover the sun with a cloud, and the moon shall not give her light.
8 Ɔsoro nkanea a ɛhyerɛn nyinaa mɛma aduru sum wɔ wo so; mɛma esum aduru wʼasase, Otumfoɔ Awurade asɛm nie.
All the [bodies] that give light in the sky, shall be darkened over you, and I will bring darkness upon the earth, says the Lord God.
9 Mɛma nnipa bebree akoma atutu ɛberɛ a mede wo sɛeɛ aba aman no mu, nsase a wonnya nhunuiɛ mu.
And I will provoke to anger the heart of many people, when I shall lead you captive amongst the nations, to a land which you have not known.
10 Mɛma nnipa bebree ho adwiri wɔn wɔ wo ho, wo enti, ehu bɛma wɔn ahene ho apopo ɛberɛ a merehim mʼakofena wɔ wɔn anim. Ɛda a wobɛhwe ase no wɔn mu biara ho bɛwoso berɛ nyinaa mu wɔ wɔn nkwa enti.
And many nations shall mourn over you, and their kings shall be utterly amazed, when my sword flies in their faces, as they wait for their [own] fall from the day of your fall.
11 “‘Na sei na Otumfoɔ Awurade seɛ: “‘Babiloniahene akofena bɛsɔre wo so.
For thus says the Lord God; The sword of the king of Babylon shall come upon you,
12 Mɛma wo nipadɔm no atotɔ wɔ nnɔmmarima akofena ano, wɔ aman a wɔyɛ tutugyagu mu. Wɔbɛsɛe Misraim ahomasoɔ pasaa na ne nipadɔm no nyinaa bɛdi nkoguo.
with the swords of mighty men; and I will cast down your strength: [they are] all destroying ones from the nations, and they shall destroy the pride of Egypt, and all her strength shall be crushed.
13 Mɛkunkum nʼanantwie nyinaa afiri nsuo bebree no ho na nnipa nan rentiatia mu bio na anantwie nan nso renhono no.
And I will destroy all her cattle from [beside] the great water; and the foot of man shall not trouble it any more, and the step of cattle shall no more trample it.
14 Afei mɛma ne nsuo ani ate na mama ne asutene atene sɛ ngo,
Thus shall their waters then be at rest, and their rivers shall flow like oil, says the Lord,
15 Sɛ mema Misraim da mpan na meyi biribiara firi asase no so, sɛ mekum wɔn a wɔte soɔ nyinaa a, afei na wɔbɛhunu sɛ mene Awurade no.’
when I shall give up Egypt to destruction, and the land shall be made desolate with the fullness thereof; when I shall scatter all that dwell in it, and they shall know that I am the Lord.
16 “Yei ne kwadwom a wɔbɛto ama no. Amanaman no mmammaa bɛto ama Misraim ne ne nipadɔm nyinaa, Otumfoɔ Awurade asɛm nie.”
There is a lamentation, and you shall utter it; and the daughters of the nations shall utter it, [even] for Egypt, and they shall mourn for it over all the strength thereof, says the Lord God.
17 Afe a ɛtɔ so dumienu no no bosome ɛda a ɛtɔ so dunum no, Awurade asɛm baa me nkyɛn sɛ:
And it came to pass in the twelfth year, in the first month, on the fifteenth [day] of the month, the word of the Lord came to me, saying,
18 “Onipa ba, twa adwo ma Misraim nipadɔm na ma ɔne amanaman akɛseɛ no mmammaa nsiane nkɔ asase ase nkɔka wɔn a wɔasiane kɔ amena mu no ho.
Son of man, lament over the strength of Egypt, for the nations shall bring down her daughters dead to the depth of the earth, to them that go down to the pit.
19 Ka kyerɛ wɔn sɛ, ‘Wadom mo dodo sene wɔn a aka no anaa? Monsiane nkɔ na mo ne momonotofoɔ no nkɔda.’
20 Wɔbɛka wɔn a wɔwuwuu wɔ akofena ano no ho. Wɔatwe akofena no, ma wɔntwe ɔno ne nipadɔm no ase nkɔ.
They shall fall with him in the midst of them [that are] slain with the sword, and all his strength shall perish: the giants also shall say to you,
21 Akannifoɔ akɛseɛ a wɔwɔ damena mu bɛka wɔ Misraim ne ne mpamfoɔ ho sɛ, ‘Wɔasiane aba na wodeda momonotofoɔ mu, wɔn a wɔwuwuu wɔ akofena ano no.’ (Sheol )
Be you in the depth of the pit: to whom are you superior? yes, go down, and lie with the uncircumcised, in the midst of them [that are] slain with the sword. (Sheol )
22 “Asiria ne nʼasraadɔm nyinaa wɔ hɔ, wɔn a wakunkum wɔn no damena atwa ne ho ahyia, wɔn a wɔatotɔ wɔ akofena ano no.
There are Assur and all his company: all [his] slain have been laid there:
23 Wɔn adamena no wɔ amena no ase tɔnn na nʼasraadɔm deda ne damena ho nyinaa. Wɔn a na wɔhunahuna afoforɔ wɔ ateasefoɔ asase so no nyinaa awuwu, wɔatotɔ wɔ akofena ano.
and their burial is in the depth of the pit, and his company are set around about his tomb: all the slain that fell by the sword, who had caused the fear of them [to be] upon the land of the living.
24 “Elam wɔ hɔ, ne nipadɔm nyinaa atwa ne damena ho ahyia. Wɔn nyinaa awuwu, wɔatotɔ wɔ akofena ano. Wɔn a na wɔhunahuna afoforɔ wɔ ateasefoɔ asase so nyinaa siane kɔɔ asase ase sɛ momonotofoɔ. Wɔde wɔn animguaseɛ kɔka wɔn a wɔsiane kɔ amena mu no ho.
There is Aelam and all his host round about his tomb: all the slain that fell by the sword, and the uncircumcised that go down to the deep of the earth, who caused their fear to be upon the land of the living: and they have received their punishment with them that go down to the pit,
25 Wɔato mpa ama no wɔ atɔfoɔ no mu, na ne nipadɔm atwa ne damena ho ahyia. Wɔn nyinaa yɛ momonotofoɔ a wɔatotɔ wɔ akofena ano. Esiane sɛ wɔn ahunahuna trɛɛ wɔ ateasefoɔ asase soɔ no enti, wɔne wɔn a wɔsiane kɔ amena mu no nyinaa anim agu ase. Wɔadeda wɔn wɔ atɔfoɔ no mu.
in the midst of the slain.
26 “Mesek ne Tubal wɔ hɔ a wɔn nipadɔm atwa wɔn adamena ho ahyia. Wɔn nyinaa yɛ momonotofoɔ a wɔatotɔ wɔ akofena ano ɛfiri sɛ wɔtrɛtrɛɛ wɔn ahunahuna mu wɔ ateasefoɔ asase so.
There were laid Mosoch, and Thobel, and all his strength round about his tomb: all his slain men, all the uncircumcised, slain with the sword, who caused their fear to be in the land of the living.
27 Ɛnyɛ wɔ ne akofoɔ momonotofoɔ foforɔ a wɔatotɔ na ɛdeda hɔ anaa? Wɔn a wɔne wɔn akodeɛ siane kɔɔ damena mu na wɔn tiri deda wɔn akofena soɔ no. Wɔn amumuyɛ so asotwe daa wɔn nnompe so, mmom saa akofoɔ yi ahunahuna atrɛtrɛ wɔ ateasefoɔ asase so. (Sheol )
And they are laid with the giants that fell of old, who went down to Hades with [their] weapons of war: and they laid their swords under their heads, but their iniquities were upon their bones, because they terrified all men during their life. (Sheol )
28 “Ao Farao, wo nso wɔbɛbubu wo mu na woakɔda momonotofoɔ mu, wo ne wɔn a wɔtotɔɔ wɔ akofena ano no.
And you shall lie in the midst of the uncircumcised, with them that have been slain by the sword.
29 “Edom wɔ hɔ, nʼahemfo ne ne mmapɔmma nyinaa deda wɔn a wɔatotɔ wɔ akofena ano mu, wɔn tumi nyinaa akyi. Wɔdeda momonotofoɔ mu, wɔ ne wɔn a wɔsiane kɔ amena mu no.
There are laid the princes of Assur, who yielded their strength to a wound of the sword: these are laid with the slain, with them that go down to the pit.
30 “Mmapɔmma a wɔfiri atifi fam nyinaa ne Sidonfoɔ nyinaa wɔ hɔ, wɔ ne atɔfoɔ kɔɔ wɔ animguaseɛ mu, wɔn tumi a wɔde hunahunaeɛ no nyinaa akyi. Wɔdeda hɔ sɛ momonotofoɔ, wɔne wɔn a wɔkum wɔn wɔ akofena ano, na wɔne wɔn a wɔsiane kɔ amena mu no asoa wɔn animguaseɛ.
There are the princes of the north, [even] all the captains of Assur, who go down slain [to Hades]: they lie uncircumcised amongst the slain with the sword together with their terror and their strength, and they have received their punishment with them that go down to the pit.
31 “Farao, ɔne nʼasraadɔm nyinaa bɛhunu wɔn na ne werɛ bɛkyekye wɔ ne nipadɔm a wɔkunkum wɔn wɔ akofena ano no ho, Otumfoɔ Awurade asɛm nie.
King Pharao shall see them, and shall be comforted over all their force, says the Lord God.
32 Mmom me na memaa Farao ne ne nipadɔm de ahunahuna trɛtrɛɛ ateasefoɔ asase so deɛ, nanso wɔbɛdeda momonotofoɔ mu, wɔn a wɔde akofena kunkumm wɔn, Otumfoɔ Awurade asɛm nie.”
For I have caused his fear to be upon the land of the living yet he shall lie in the midst of the uncircumcised with them that are slain with the sword, [even] Pharao, and all his multitude with him, says the Lord God.
