< Efesofoɔ 6 >
1 Mma, montie mo awofoɔ asɛm wɔ Awurade mu ɛfiri sɛ, saa na ɛyɛ.
Children, do what your parents tell you, for this is the right thing to do.
2 “Di wʼagya ne wo maame ni,” yei ne mmaransɛm a ɛdi ɛkan a bɔhyɛ ka ho,
“Honor your father and mother.” This is the first commandment that has a promise attached:
3 “na asi wo yie na wo nna nso aware asase yi so.”
“that things may go well for you and you may live a long life on the earth.”
4 Agyanom, monnhyɛ mo mma abufuo. Na mmom, montete wɔn wɔ Awurade nkyerɛkyerɛ mu.
Fathers, don't make your children mad, but look after them by disciplining them and instructing them about God.
5 Nkoa, momfa obuo ne ɔsuro mfiri akoma pa mu nyɛ ɔsetie mma mo honam fam wuranom, sɛdeɛ mobɛyɛ ɔsetie ama Kristo no ara.
Servants, obey those who are your human masters, with proper respect and awe, doing things from sincere motives as if you were serving Christ.
6 Monyɛ ɔsetie mma wɔn, ɛnyɛ sɛ mobɛsɔ wɔn ani wɔ ɛberɛ a wɔrehwɛ mo nko ara, na mmom, monyɛ sɛ Kristo nkoa a mofiri mo akoma mu reyɛ Onyankopɔn apɛdeɛ.
Don't just work well when you're being watched to gain approval, but work like servants of Christ, honestly doing God's will,
7 Momfa mo akoma nyinaa nsom sɛdeɛ moresom Awurade a ɛnnyɛ nnipa,
happily serving as if you were doing it for the Lord, and not for people.
8 ɛfiri sɛ monim sɛ adwuma pa biara a obi yɛ no, sɛ ɔyɛ ɔsomfoɔ anaa ɔde ne ho no, Awurade bɛtua no so ka.
You know that whoever does what's good will be rewarded by the Lord, whether that person is a servant or someone who is free.
9 Awuranom, saa ara na mo nso monyɛ mo asomfoɔ. Monnyae wɔn ahunahuna ɛfiri sɛ, mo ne mo asomfoɔ nyinaa wɔ wura baako a ɔwɔ ɔsoro; na ɔno deɛ ɔnhwɛ animu.
Masters, you should treat your servants the same way. Don't threaten them, remember that the Lord in heaven is both their master and yours, and he treats people the same, without favoritism.
10 Deɛ ɛtwa toɔ ne sɛ, monyɛ den wɔ ne ne tumi kɛseɛ no mu.
Lastly, stay strong in the Lord, and in his mighty power.
11 Monhyɛ Onyankopɔn akodeɛ nyinaa na moatumi agyina ɔbonsam nhyehyɛeɛ ano.
Put on all the armor of God so you can withstand all the devil's attacks!
We're not fighting against human forces, but against supernatural rulers and powers, the dark lords of this world, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavens. (aiōn )
13 Yei enti, monhyɛ Onyankopɔn akodeɛ nyinaa, na sɛ da bɔne no ba a, moatumi agyina, na mowie biribiara a, moagyina pintinn.
Take all the weapons God provides so that you may be able to stand your ground in the day of evil and after doing all you can, to find yourself still standing!
14 Enti monnyina pintinn, na momfa nokorɛ mmɔ mo asene, na monhyɛ tenenee nkataboɔ,
So stand up, wrap the belt of truth around your waist, tie on the breastplate of justice and the right,
15 na momfa Asɛmpa no asomdwoeɛ no nhyehyɛ mo nan.
and put on the shoes of readiness to share the good news of peace.
16 Yeinom nyinaa akyi no, momfa gyidie kyɛm, deɛ mode bɛdum ɔbɔnefoɔ bɛma a ɛrederɛ no.
Above all, take up the shield of trusting God, by which you'll be able to put out all the devil's flaming arrows.
17 Momfa nkwagyeɛ dadeɛ kyɛ ne Honhom no akofena a ɛyɛ Onyankopɔn asɛm no.
Wear the helmet of salvation, and carry the sword of the Spirit—the Spirit that's the word of God.
18 Ɛberɛ nyinaa mu mommɔ mpaeɛ wɔ Honhom mu, mpaeɛbɔ ahodoɔ ne nkotosrɛ mu. Yei enti monna mo ho so, na mommɔ mpaeɛ mma ahotefoɔ.
Always pray in the Spirit as you do all this. Stay awake and keep on praying for all God's people.
19 Mommɔ mpaeɛ mma me nso na sɛ mebue mʼano a, wɔama me asɛm aka, na matumi akasa akokoɔduru so ada Asɛmpa no mu ahintasɛm adi.
Pray for me too so that I'll be given the right words to say, and that I'll be able to explain confidently the hidden truths of the good news.
20 Seesei meyɛ ho ɔnanmusini a meda mpokyerɛ mu. Ɛno enti, mommɔ mpaeɛ mma me na matumi de akokoɔduru apae mu aka no sɛdeɛ ɛsɛ sɛ meka no.
I'm an imprisoned ambassador for the sake of the good news, so please pray that I will speak fearlessly, as I should.
21 Yɛn nua ɔdɔfoɔ, Tihiko, a ɔyɛ Awurade adwumayɛ mu ɔsomfoɔ nokwafoɔ no bɛka biribiara akyerɛ mo sɛdeɛ ɛbɛyɛ a mobɛhunu sɛdeɛ me ho teɛ ne dwuma a meredie.
Tychicus, our good friend and faithful minister, will give you all my news and explain everything so you'll know how I'm doing.
22 Yei enti na meresoma no mo nkyɛn, ama moahunu sɛdeɛ yɛn ho teɛ na wahyɛ mo nkuran nso.
That's why I'm sending him to you—to tell you what's happened to us and to encourage you.
23 Asomdwoeɛ nka anuanom nyinaa, na Agya Onyankopɔn ne Awurade Yesu Kristo mma mo nokorɛ dɔ.
Peace to all the Christians there, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ, with love and trust in him.
24 Onyankopɔn adom nka wɔn a wɔdɔ yɛn Awurade Yesu Kristo daa nyinaa no.
Grace to all those who eternally love our Lord Jesus.
