Then Moses and the elders of Israel commanded the people: “Keep all the commandments I am giving you today.
2 Sɛ motwa Yordan kɔduru asase a Awurade, mo Onyankopɔn de rema mo no so a, monhyehyɛ aboɔ akɛseɛ na momfa akaadoo nsra ho.
And on the day you cross the Jordan into the land that the LORD your God is giving you, set up large stones and coat them with plaster.
3 Sɛ motwa Yordan kɔ asase a Awurade, mo Onyankopɔn de rema mo no so, asase a ɛwoɔ ne nufosuo resene so no so a, montwerɛ mmara no nyinaa ngu so sɛdeɛ Awurade, mo agyanom Onyankopɔn, hyɛɛ mo bɔ no.
Write on them all the words of this law when you have crossed over to enter the land that the LORD your God is giving you, a land flowing with milk and honey, just as the LORD, the God of your fathers, has promised you.
4 Na sɛ motwa Yordan a, monhyehyɛ aboɔ no wɔ Ebal bepɔ so sɛdeɛ merehyɛ mo ɛnnɛ yi na momfa akaadoo no mfa ho.
And when you have crossed the Jordan, you are to set up these stones on Mount Ebal, as I am commanding you today, and you are to coat them with plaster.
5 Monsi afɔrebukyia, aboɔ afɔrebukyia wɔ hɔ mma Awurade, mo Onyankopɔn. Mommfa dadeɛ biribiara nka.
Moreover, you are to build there an altar to the LORD your God, an altar of stones. You must not use any iron tool on them.
6 Momfa aboɔ nkunkuma nsi Awurade, mo Onyankopɔn afɔrebukyia no na mommɔ ɔhyeɛ afɔdeɛ wɔ so mma Awurade, mo Onyankopɔn.
You shall build the altar of the LORD your God with uncut stones and offer upon it burnt offerings to the LORD your God.
7 Mommɔ asomdwoeɛ afɔdeɛ nso wɔ so na momfa anigyeɛ nnidi wɔ hɔ wɔ Awurade, mo Onyankopɔn, anim.
There you are to sacrifice your peace offerings, eating them and rejoicing in the presence of the LORD your God.
8 Montwerɛ mmara no mu nhyehyɛeɛ nyinaa pɛpɛɛpɛ ngu aboɔ a wɔde akaadoo aka so no so.”
And you shall write distinctly upon these stones all the words of this law.”
9 Afei, Mose ne Lewifoɔ asɔfoɔ kasa kyerɛɛ Israelfoɔ no sɛ, “Ao Israel, monyɛ komm na montie! Ɛnnɛ, moabɛyɛ Awurade, mo Onyankopɔn manfoɔ.
Then Moses and the Levitical priests spoke to all Israel: “Be silent, O Israel, and listen! This day you have become the people of the LORD your God.
10 Monyɛ ɔsetie mma Awurade, mo Onyankopɔn, na monni ne mmara ne nʼahyɛdeɛ a mede rema mo ɛnnɛ yi so.”
You shall therefore obey the voice of the LORD your God and follow His commandments and statutes I am giving you today.”
11 Saa ɛda no ara, Mose hyɛɛ ɔmanfoɔ no sɛ,
On that day Moses commanded the people:
12 Sɛ motwa Asubɔnten Yordan a, Simeon, Lewi, Yuda, Isakar, Yosef ne Benyamin mmusuakuo na wɔnnyina Gerisim bepɔ so nhyira ɔman no.
“When you have crossed the Jordan, these tribes shall stand on Mount Gerizim to bless the people: Simeon, Levi, Judah, Issachar, Joseph, and Benjamin.
13 Ruben, Gad, Aser, Sebulon, Dan ne Naftali mmusuakuo nso nnyina Ebal bepɔ so nnome.
And these tribes shall stand on Mount Ebal to deliver the curse: Reuben, Gad, Asher, Zebulun, Dan, and Naphtali.
14 Na afei, Lewifoɔ nteam ngu nnipa a wɔwɔ Israel nyinaa so sɛ:
Then the Levites shall proclaim in a loud voice to every Israelite:
15 “Nnome nka onipa a ɔbɛyɛ ohoni a wɔasene anaa deɛ wɔagu de ahyɛ kɔkoam. Saa ahoni adwumfoɔ nsaano nnwuma yi yɛ Awurade akyiwadeɛ.” Na ɔman no nyinaa bɛgye so sɛ, “Amen!”
‘Cursed is the man who makes a carved idol or molten image—an abomination to the LORD, the work of the hands of a craftsman—and sets it up in secret.’
16 “Nnome nka obiara a ɔbɛbu nʼagya anaa ne maame animtia.” Na ɔman no nyinaa bɛgye so sɛ, “Amen!”
‘Cursed is he who dishonors his father or mother.’
17 “Nnome nka obiara a ɔsesa hyeɛ nam so bɔ ne yɔnko korɔno.” Na ɔman no nyinaa bɛgye so sɛ, “Amen!”
‘Cursed is he who moves his neighbor’s boundary stone.’
18 “Nnome nka obiara a ɔma onifirani fom ɛkwan.” Na ɔman no nyinaa bɛgye so sɛ, “Amen!”
‘Cursed is he who lets a blind man wander in the road.’
19 “Nnome nka obiara a ɔsisi ahɔhoɔ, nwisiaa ne akunafoɔ.” Na ɔman no nyinaa bɛgye so sɛ, “Amen!”
‘Cursed is he who withholds justice from the foreigner, the fatherless, or the widow.’
20 “Nnome nka obiara a ɔne nʼagya yere bɛda, ɛfiri sɛ, wagu nʼagya mpa ho fi.” Na ɔman no nyinaa bɛgye so sɛ, “Amen!”
‘Cursed is he who sleeps with his father’s wife, for he has violated his father’s marriage bed.’
21 “Nnome nka obiara a ɔne aboa bɛda.” Na ɔman no nyinaa bɛgye so sɛ, “Amen!”
‘Cursed is he who lies with any animal.’
22 “Nnome nka obiara a ɔne ne nuabaa bɛda, sɛ ɔyɛ nʼagya babaa anaa ne maame babaa.” Na ɔman no nyinaa bɛgye so sɛ, “Amen!”
‘Cursed is he who sleeps with his sister, the daughter of his father or the daughter of his mother.’
23 “Nnome nka obiara a ɔne nʼase baa bɛda.” Na ɔman no nyinaa bɛgye so sɛ, “Amen!”
‘Cursed is he who sleeps with his mother-in-law.’
24 “Nnome nka obiara a ɔbɛkum ɔfoforɔ wɔ kɔkoam.” Na ɔman no nyinaa bɛgye so sɛ, “Amen!”
‘Cursed is he who strikes down his neighbor in secret.’
25 “Nnome nka obiara a ɔgye apaabɔdeɛ na ɔkum onipa a ɔnyɛɛ bɔne biara.” Na ɔman no nyinaa bɛgye so sɛ, “Amen!”
‘Cursed is he who accepts a bribe to kill an innocent person.’
26 “Nnome nka obiara a wanni mmaransɛm yi so na wannye anto mu.” Na ɔman no nyinaa bɛgye so sɛ, “Amen!”
‘Cursed is he who does not put the words of this law into practice.’
