< 5 Mose 15 >

1 Mfirinhyia nson biara awieeɛ, montwa mo aka mu.
At the end of every seven years, you must cancel debts.
2 Ɛkwan a ɛsɛ sɛ mofa so nie: Ɛsɛ sɛ boseabɔni biara a wabɔ ne yɔnko Israelni bosea no, ɔde kyɛ no. Ɛnsɛ sɛ wɔdan wɔn yɔnko anaa wɔn busuani ka, ɛfiri sɛ, Awurade ɛberɛ a wɔde bosea kyɛ no aduru.
This is the manner of the release: Every creditor will cancel that which he has lent to his neighbor; he will not demand it from his neighbor or his brother because Yahweh's cancellation of debts has been proclaimed.
3 Saa bosea a wɔtwa mu yi ka mo yɔnkonom Israelfoɔ nko ara. Ahɔhoɔ a wɔte mo mu no nka ho.
From a foreigner you may demand it; but whatever of yours is with your brother your hand must release.
4 Ɛnsɛ sɛ ahiafoɔ ba mo mu ɛfiri sɛ, Awurade, mo Onyankopɔn bɛhyira mo wɔ asase a ɔde rema mo sɛ mo agyapadeɛ sononko no so.
However, there should be no poor among you (for Yahweh will surely bless you in the land that he gives you as an inheritance to possess),
5 Sɛ moto mo bo ase di Awurade mo Onyankopɔn mmara a mede rema mo ɛnnɛ yi so a, mobɛnya saa nhyira yi.
if only you diligently listen to the voice of Yahweh your God, to keep all these commandments that I am commanding you today.
6 Awurade mo Onyankopɔn bɛhyira mo sɛdeɛ wahyɛ mo bɔ no. Mobɛbɔ aman bebree bosea nanso mo deɛ, morenkɔ aboseabɔ da. Mobɛdi aman bebree so nanso wɔrenni mo so.
For Yahweh your God will bless you, as he promised you; you will lend to many nations, but you will not borrow; you will rule over many nations, but they will not rule over you.
7 Sɛ moduru nkuro a Awurade, mo Onyankopɔn, de rema mo no so na sɛ ahiafoɔ wɔ hɔ a, mommpirim mo akoma anaa mommma mo nsam nyɛ den wɔ wɔn so.
If there is a poor man among you, one of your brothers, within any of your gates in your land that Yahweh your God is giving you, you must not harden your heart nor shut your hand from your poor brother;
8 Mmom, mongo mo nsam na momfɛm wɔn deɛ ɛhia wɔn.
but you must surely open your hand to him and surely lend him sufficient for his need.
9 Monhwɛ na moannya saa adwemmɔne yi wɔ mo tirim sɛ ɛka mu twa berɛ no reyɛ aduru so enti, obi bɛbisa mo bosea a moremma no. Sɛ moammɔ ahiafoɔ no bosea na sɛ wɔsu frɛ Awurade a, wɔbɛbu mo fɔ sɛ moayɛ bɔne.
Be careful not to have a wicked thought in your heart, saying, 'The seventh year, the year of release, is near,' so that you will not be stingy in regard to your poor brother and give him nothing; he might cry out to Yahweh about you, and it would be sin for you.
10 Momma no akoma pa mu na Awurade, mo Onyankopɔn, bɛhyira mo ne biribiara a mobɛyɛ so.
You must surely give to him, and your heart must not be sorry when you give to him, because in return for this Yahweh your God will bless you in all your work and in all that you put your hand to.
11 Ɛberɛ biara, mobɛhunu ahiafoɔ wɔ mo mu. Ɛno enti na merehyɛ mo sɛ, biribiara a mowɔ no, mo ne ahiafoɔ ne mo nuanom Israelfoɔ nkyɛ.
For the poor will never cease to exist in the land; therefore I command you and say, 'You must surely open your hand to your brother, to your needy, and to your poor in your land.'
12 Sɛ wo nua Hebrini barima anaa ɔbaa tɔn ne ho ma wo na ɔsom wo mfirinhyia nsia a, afe a ɛtɔ so nson no, gya no ɛkwan.
If your brother, a Hebrew man, or a Hebrew woman, is sold to you and serves you for six years, then in the seventh year you must let him go free from you.
13 Na sɛ woregya no ɛkwan a, mma no nkɔ nsapan.
When you let him go free from you, you must not let him go empty-handed.
14 Fa nsa a emu go gya no ɛkwan na ma no wo nnwan no, wʼayuporebea mu adeɛ ne wo nsakyimena mu adeɛ bi. Wo ne no nkyɛ wʼadonneɛ bi a Awurade, wo Onyankopɔn, de ahyira wo no bi.
You must liberally provide for him out of your flock, out of your threshing floor, and out of your winepress. As Yahweh your God has blessed you, you must give to him.
15 Monkae sɛ na moyɛ nkoa wɔ Misraim na Awurade, mo Onyankopɔn yii mo firii hɔ. Ɛno enti na mede saa mmara yi rema mo ɛnnɛ yi.
You must remember that you were a slave in the land of Egypt, and that Yahweh your God redeemed you; therefore I am commanding you today to do this.
16 Na sɛ ɛba sɛ wʼakoa ka kyerɛ wo sɛ, “Merennya wo hɔ nkɔ”, ɛfiri sɛ, ɔpɛ wo ne wʼabusuafoɔ asɛm na ne ho tɔ no wɔ wo nkyɛn a,
It will happen that if he says to you, 'I will not go away from you,' because he loves you and your house, and because he is well off with you,
17 ɛnneɛ, fa fitiiɛ bɔne nʼaso mu na ɔnyɛ wʼakoa daa. Wo mfenaa nso, yɛ wɔn saa ara.
then you must take an awl and thrust it through his ear to a door, and he will be your servant for life. You must do the same with your female servant.
18 Mma no nyɛ wo ya sɛ woregyaa wʼasomfoɔ no ama wɔafa wɔn ho akɔdie. Monkae sɛ, mfeɛ nsia ni no, wɔasom wo a sɛ wokɔfaa apaafoɔ sɛ wɔnsom wo a, anka wobɛtua apaafoɔ no sika mmɔho mmienu, na Awurade mo Onyankopɔn bɛhyira mo wɔ biribiara a moyɛ ho.
It must not seem difficult for you to let him go free from you, because he has served you for six years and given twice the value of a hired person. Yahweh your God will bless you in all that you do.
19 Mo anantwie ne mo nnwan mmakan anini no, monyi nsi hɔ mma Awurade, mo Onyankopɔn. Mo anantwie mmakan no, mommfa wɔn nkɔ mo mfuo mu nkɔyɛ nnwuma na monntwitwa mo nnwan mmakan ho nwi nso.
All the firstborn males in your herd and your flock you must set apart to Yahweh your God. You will do no work with the firstborn of your herd, nor shear the firstborn of your flock.
20 Mmom, mo ne mo abusuafoɔ, afe biara, monnwe saa mmoa yi wɔ baabi a Awurade, mo Onyankopɔn bɛyi ama mo no wɔ nʼanim.
You must eat the firstborn before Yahweh your God year by year in the place that Yahweh will choose, you and your household.
21 Na sɛ ɛba sɛ abakan no bi adi dɛm, sɛ ebia, ɔtɔ apakye anaa nʼani afira anaa wadi ɛdɛm foforɔ bi a, mommfa no mmɔ afɔdeɛ mma Awurade mo Onyankopɔn.
If it has any blemish—for example, if it is lame or blind, or has any blemish whatever—you must not sacrifice it to Yahweh your God.
22 Mmom, momfa no nyɛ aduane mma abusuafoɔ wɔ fie. Sɛ obi ho te o, sɛ ne ho nte o, ɔtumi di bi sɛdeɛ obiara tumi we ɔtwe anaa ɔdabɔ nam no.
You will eat it within your gates; the unclean and the clean persons alike must eat it, as you would eat a gazelle or a deer.
23 Nanso, monnni mogya no. Monhwie ngu fam te sɛ nsuo.
Only you must not eat its blood; you must pour its blood out on the ground like water.
