< 5 Mose 11 >
1 Dɔ Awurade wo Onyankopɔn na di nʼapɛdeɛ, ne mmara ne nʼahyɛdeɛ so berɛ nyinaa.
Thou shalt therefore love the Lord thy God, and keep his charge, and his statutes, and his ordinances, and his commandments, all the days.
2 Montie ɛnnɛ sɛ, ɛnyɛ mo mma na wɔnyaa osuahunu hunuu Awurade mo Onyankopɔn ntenesoɔ, ne tumi, ne basa kɛseɛ, ne nsa a watene mu,
And ye shall know this day, that [I speak] not with your children who have not known, and who have not seen the chastisement of the Lord your God, his greatness, his strong hand, and his outstretched arm;
3 nsɛnkyerɛnneɛ a ɔyɛeɛ ne nneɛma a wɔyɛɛ wɔ Misraim pɛɛ maa ebi kaa Misraimhene Farao ne ɔman mu no nyinaa.
And his signs, and his acts, which he displayed in the midst of Egypt, unto Pharaoh the king of Egypt, and unto all his land;
4 Wɔanhunu dwuma a mo Onyankopɔn dii Misraim asraafoɔ, wɔn apɔnkɔ ne wɔn nteaseɛnam, anaa sɛdeɛ ɔmaa Ɛpo Kɔkɔɔ yiri faa wɔn ɛberɛ a wɔtaa mo no ne sɛdeɛ Awurade sɛee wɔn ɛberɛ a wɔtaa mo no ne sɛdeɛ Awurade sɛee wɔn de bɛsi ɛnnɛ yi.
And what he did unto the army of Egypt, unto its horses, and to its chariots; over whom he caused the water of the Red Sea to flow, as they pursued after you, and whom the Lord destroyed unto this day;
5 Wɔanhunu sɛdeɛ na Awurade hwɛ mo so yie wɔ ɛserɛ so hɔ kɔsii sɛ mobɛduruu ha.
And what he did unto you in the wilderness, until ye came unto this place;
6 Na wɔnni hɔ enti, wɔanhunu deɛ wɔde yɛɛ Eliab a ɔyɛ Ruben aseni mma Datan ne Abiram ɛberɛ a wɔyɛɛ bɔne na asase mu bue menee wɔn ne wɔn afie ne wɔn ntomadan ne biribiara a na nkwa wɔ mu a ɛyɛ wɔn agyapadeɛ no.
And what he did unto Dathan and Abiram, the sons of Eliab, the son of Reuben; how the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed them up, and their households, and their tents, and all the living substance that followed them, in the midst of all Israel;
7 Na mode mo ani ahunu Awurade tumi nnwuma a ɔyɛeɛ nyinaa.
But it is your own eyes which have seen all the great acts of the Lord which he hath done.
8 Monni mmara a merehyɛ ama mo ɛnnɛ yi so sɛdeɛ ɛbɛyɛ a, mobɛnya ahoɔden akɔfa asase a morebɛtwa Yordan akɔ so akɔfa yi,
Ye shall therefore keep all the commandment which I command you this day, that ye may be strong, and go in and take possession of the land, whither ye go over to possess it;
9 na mo nna aware asase a nufosuo ne ɛwoɔ resene wɔ so a Awurade kaa ntam kyerɛɛ mo agyanom sɛ ɔde bɛma wɔn ne wɔn asefoɔ no so.
And in order that ye may live many days in the land, which the Lord hath sworn unto your fathers to give unto them and to their seed, a land flowing with milk and honey.
10 Asase a morebɛkɔ so no nte sɛ Misraim asase a mofiri so baeɛ no a na modua mfudeɛ a mode mo nan twa nsuka te sɛ deɛ moredua nhahannuane no.
For the land, whither thou goest in to possess it, is not like the land of Egypt, from where ye came out, where thou sowest thy seed, and waterest it with thy foot, as a garden of herbs;
11 Na asase a moretwa Yordan akɔfa no yɛ mmepɔ mmepɔ ne bɔnhwa a osuo tɔ wɔ hɔ yie
But the land, whither ye go over to possess it, is a land of mountains and valleys, from the rain of heaven doth it drink water.
12 a ɛyɛ asase a Awurade, mo Onyankopɔn, hwɛ so yie. Na daa Awurade mo Onyankopɔn ani wɔ so firi afe no ahyɛaseɛ kɔsi nʼawieeɛ.
A land which the Lord thy God careth for; always are the eyes of the Lord thy God upon it, from the beginning of the year even unto the end of the year.
13 Sɛ moto mo bo ase tie me mmara a merehyɛ ama mo ɛnnɛ yi na mode mo akoma ne mo kra nyinaa dɔ Awurade, mo Onyankopɔn, na mosom no a,
And it shall come to pass, if ye will hearken diligently unto my commandments which I command you this day, to love the Lord your God, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul,
14 ɛnneɛ, ɔbɛtɔ osuo ne berɛ mu ama mo na moatumi atwa nnɔbaeɛ de bi ayɛ nsã ne ngo.
That I will send rain for your land in its due season, the first rain and the latter rain, that thou mayest gather in thy corn, and thy wine, and thy oil.
15 Ɔbɛma mo ɛserɛ pii na mo anantwie awe na mo nso mobɛdidi amee.
And I will give grass in thy field for thy cattle; and thou shalt eat and be satisfied,
16 Monnnane mo akoma mfiri Awurade so nkɔsom anyame foforɔ.
Take heed to yourselves, that your heart be not deceived, and ye turn aside, and serve other gods, and worship them;
17 Sɛ moyɛ saa a, Awurade Abufuo no bɛhuru atia mo. Ɔbɛto ɔsoro mu, agyina osutɔ, na mo nnɔbaetwa ayɛ basaa. Na ntɛm so, mobɛwuwu wɔ asase a Awurade de rema mo no so.
[For] then the Lord's wrath will be kindled against you, and he will shut up the heavens that there be no rain, and the land will not yield her products; and ye shall perish quickly from off the good land which the Lord giveth unto you.
18 Enti, momma me nsɛm yi ntena mo akoma mu. Momfa nkyekyere mo nsa sɛ nkaedeɛ na momfa mmɔ abotire.
Therefore shall ye lay up these my words in your heart and in your soul; and ye shall bind them for a sign upon your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes.
19 Monkyerɛkyerɛ mo mma. Sɛ mowɔ fie anaa monam ɛkwan so, sɛ moda hɔ anaa mosɔre anɔpa a, monkyerɛkyerɛ wɔn.
And ye shall teach them to your children, to speak of them when thou sittest in thy house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.
20 Montwerɛ ngu mo afie aponnwa ne mo abɔntenpono ho,
And thou shalt write them upon the door-posts of thy house, and upon thy gates.
21 sɛdeɛ ɛbɛyɛ a, ɔsoro da so kata asase ani yi, mo ne mo mma ase bɛdɔre wɔ asase a Awurade kaa ntam sɛ ɔde bɛma mo agyanom no so.
In order that your days may be multiplied, and the days of your children, in the land which the Lord swore unto your fathers to give unto them, as the days of the heavens over the earth.
22 Monhwɛ yie na monni mmara a merehyɛ ama mo yi so; monnante Awurade, mo Onyankopɔn, akwan so na momfa mo ho mmata ne ho mfa nkyerɛ ɔdɔ a modɔ no.
For if ye will diligently keep all this commandment which I command you, in order to do it, to love the Lord your God, to walk in all his ways, and to cleave unto him:
23 Ɛwom sɛ aman a wɔwɔ mo asase so yɛ den sen mo deɛ, nanso Awurade bɛpamo wɔn nyinaa.
Then will the Lord drive out all these nations from before you, and ye shall supplant nations greater and mightier than yourselves.
24 Baabiara a mode mo nan bɛtia no, asase no bɛyɛ mo dea. Mo ahyeɛ bɛyɛ ɛfiri ɛserɛ so anafoɔ kɔsi Lebanon wɔ atifi fam de firi Asubɔnten Eufrate wɔ apueeɛ fam kɔsi Ntam Po no fam.
Every place whereon the sole of your foot may tread shall be yours: from the wilderness and the Lebanon, from the river, the river Euphrates, even unto the Western Sea shall be your boundary.
25 Obiara rentumi nsɔre ntia mo, ɛfiri sɛ, Awurade, mo Onyankopɔn, bɛto mo ho hu ne mo ho suro adi mo anim sɛdeɛ ɔhyɛɛ mo bɔ no wɔ baabiara a mobɛkɔ wɔ asase no so.
There shall no man be able to stand up before you; the dread of you and the fear of you will the Lord your God lay upon all the land which ye may tread upon, as he hath spoken unto you.
26 Hwɛ, ɛnnɛ mede nhyira ne nnome resi mo anim,
Behold, I lay before you this day a blessing and a curse:
27 Sɛ modi Awurade, mo Onyankopɔn, mmara a merehyɛ ama mo ɛnnɛ yi so a, ɛbɛyɛ nhyira.
The blessing, if ye will hearken unto the commandments of the Lord your God, which I command you this day;
28 Na sɛ mopo Awurade, mo Onyankopɔn mmara dane firi nʼakwan a merehyɛ mo ɛnnɛ yi so, kɔsom anyame foforɔ a, ɛbɛyɛ nnome.
And the curse, if ye will not hearken unto the commandments of the Lord your God, and ye turn aside out of the way which I command you this day, to go after other gods, which ye know not.
29 Na sɛ Awurade, mo Onyankopɔn, de mo duru asase a morekɔ so akɔfa no a, monka nhyira nsɛm mfiri Gerisim Bepɔ no so na monka nnome nsɛm nso mfiri Ebal Bepɔ so.
And it shall come to pass, when the Lord thy God shall have brought thee in unto the land whither thou goest to possess it, that thou shalt put the blessing upon mount Gerizzim, and the curse upon mount 'Ebal.
30 Saa mmepɔ mmienu yi wɔ Asubɔnten Yordan atɔeɛ fam, asase a na Kanaanfoɔ a na wɔte Yordan subɔnhwa a ɛbɛn kuro Gilgal no te hɔ. Na wɔwɔ atɔeɛ fam a ɛbɛn More kwaeɛ no.
Behold, they are on the other side of the Jordan, far away in the direction of the going down of the sun, in the land of the Canaanites, who dwell in the plain, opposite Gilgal, near the grove of Moreh.
31 Moreyɛ atwa Yordan akɔtena asase a Awurade, mo Onyankopɔn, de rema mo no so. Sɛ mokɔfa saa asase no kɔtena so a,
For ye are about to pass over the Jordan to go in to take possession of the land which the Lord your God giveth you; and ye will possess it, and dwell therein.
32 monhwɛ yie na monni mmara ne ahyɛdeɛ a mede rema mo ɛnnɛ yi so.
And ye shall then observe to do all the statutes and ordinances which I set before you this day.
