< Daniel 12 >
1 “Saa ɛberɛ no, Mikael, ɔhene babarima titire a ɔbɔ wo nkurɔfoɔ ho ban no bɛsɔre. Ahohia ɛberɛ bi bɛba a, ɛfiri aman no ahyɛaseɛ bɛsi saa da no, biribiara saa nsiiɛ da. Nanso saa ɛberɛ no, wo nkurɔfoɔ, obiara a wɔbɛhunu sɛ wɔatwerɛ ne din wɔ nwoma no mu no, wɔbɛgye no nkwa.
“At that time Michael, the great prince who stands watch over your people, will rise up. There will be a time of distress, the likes of which will not have occurred from the beginning of nations until that time. But at that time your people—everyone whose name is found written in the book—will be delivered.
2 Nnipadɔm a wɔadeda fam wɔ dɔteɛ mu no bɛnyane: ebinom bɛkɔ daa nkwa mu, na ebinom nso akɔ aniwuo ne daa ahohora mu.
And many who sleep in the dust of the earth will awake, some to everlasting life, but others to shame and everlasting contempt.
3 Wɔn a wɔyɛ anyansafoɔ no bɛhyerɛn te sɛ ɔsoro hyerɛn, na wɔn a wɔdanee afoforɔ kɔɔ tenenee mu no bɛhyerɛn sɛ nsoromma daapem.
Then the wise will shine like the brightness of the heavens, and those who lead many to righteousness will shine like the stars forever and ever.
4 Nanso, wo Daniel, bobɔ na sɔ nsɛm a ɛwɔ nwoma mmobɔeɛ no ano, kɔsi awieeɛ ɛberɛ no. Bebree bɛkyinkyini akɔpɛ nimdeɛ.”
But you, Daniel, shut up these words and seal the book until the time of the end. Many will roam to and fro, and knowledge will increase.”
5 Afei, me Daniel mehwɛ hunuu nnipa baanu bi wɔ mʼanim; ɔbaako gyina asubɔnten no konkɔn so, na ɔbaako nso gyina konkɔn a ɛhwɛ baako no anim no so.
Then I, Daniel, looked and saw two others standing there, one on this bank of the river and one on the opposite bank.
6 Wɔn mu baako bisaa ɔbarima a ɔfira nwera no a ɔgyina asuo no so no sɛ, “Ɛbɛdi nna ahe ansa na anwanwadeɛ yi aba mu?”
One of them said to the man dressed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, “How long until the fulfillment of these wonders?”
7 Ɔbarima no a ɔfira nwera na ɔwɔ nsuo no so no maa ne nsa nifa ne benkum so kyerɛɛ soro, na metee sɛ ɔde deɛ ɔte hɔ daa no kaa ntam sɛ, “Ɛbɛkɔ so saa ara akɔsi ɛberɛ bi, mmerɛ bi ne ɛberɛ sini bi. Sɛ nnipa kronkron no tumi sɛeɛ no ba awieeɛ koraa a, wɔbɛwie saa nneɛma yi nyinaa.”
And the man dressed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, raised his right hand and his left hand toward heaven, and I heard him swear by Him who lives forever, saying, “It will be for a time, and times, and half a time. When the power of the holy people has finally been shattered, all these things will be completed.”
8 Meteeɛ, nanso mante aseɛ. Enti, mebisaa sɛ, “Me Wura ɛdeɛn na ɛbɛfiri yeinom nyinaa mu aba?”
I heard, but I did not understand. So I asked, “My lord, what will be the outcome of these things?”
9 Na ɔbuaa sɛ, “Daniel kɔ, ɛfiri sɛ wɔabobɔ nsɛm no asɔ ano de akɔsi awieeɛ mmerɛ no.
“Go on your way, Daniel,” he replied, “for the words are closed up and sealed until the time of the end.
10 Wɔbɛhohoro bebree ho a efi ne nkekaeɛ biara nni wɔn ho, nanso atirimuɔdenfoɔ bɛkɔ so ayɛ atirimuɔden; wɔn mu biara rente aseɛ, nanso anyansafoɔ deɛ, wɔbɛte aseɛ.
Many will be purified, made spotless, and refined, but the wicked will continue to act wickedly. None of the wicked will understand, but the wise will understand.
11 “Ɛfiri da a wɔbɛbra daa afɔrebɔ na wɔde akyiwadeɛ a ɔsɛeɛ nam ne so bɛba abɛsi hɔ no bɛyɛ nnafua apem ahanu aduɔkron.
And from the time the daily sacrifice is abolished and the abomination of desolation set up, there will be 1,290 days.
12 Nhyira ne deɛ ɔtwɛn kɔsi nnafua apem ahasa aduasa enum awieeɛ no.
Blessed is he who waits and reaches the end of the 1,335 days.
13 “Wo Daniel deɛ, tintim kɔduru awieeɛ. Wobɛhome, na nna no awieeɛ no, wobɛsɔre na woakɔgye wo kyɛfa a ɛwɔ agyapadeɛ no mu.”
But as for you, go on your way until the end. You will rest, and will arise to your inheritance at the end of the days.”
