< Asomafoɔ 20 >
1 Basabasayɛ yi akyi no, Paulo frɛɛ asuafoɔ no kaa nsɛm de hyɛɛ wɔn nkuran, kraa wɔn firii hɔ kɔɔ Makedonia.
And after the tumult was over, Paul sent for the disciples to him, and having embraced them, departed to go into Macedonia.
2 Ɔkyinkyini faa amantam no mu, tuu asuafoɔ no fo de hyɛɛ wɔn nkuran. Afei, ɔbɛduruu Hela. Ɔdii hɔ abosome mmiɛnsa.
And having passed through those parts, and given them much exhortation, he came into Greece.
3 Ɛberɛ a ɔresiesie ne ho akɔ Siria no, ɔtee sɛ Yudafoɔ no abɔ ne ho pɔ; enti ɔsane nʼakyi kɔfaa Makedonia kɔeɛ.
And when he had spent three months there, the Jews having laid wait for him as he was going to embark for Syria, he determined to return by Macedonia.
4 Piro a ɔfiri Beroia no ba Sopater ne Paulo na ɛkɔeɛ. Wɔn a wɔka ne ho kɔeɛ no nso bi ne Aristarko ne Sekundo a wɔfiri Tesalonika ne Gaio a ɔfiri Derbe ne Timoteo ne Tihiko ne Trofimo a wɔfiri Asiaman mu no.
And there accompanied him to Asia, Sopater the Berean, and of the Thessalonians Aristarchus and Secundus, and Gaius of Derbe, and Timothy: and the Asiatics,
5 Saa nnipa yi dii ɛkan kɔtwɛnee yɛn wɔ Troa.
Tychicus and Trophimus, who went before and stayed for us at Troas.
6 Yɛdii Apiti Afahyɛ no wieeɛ no, yɛfirii Filipi, na nnanum akyi no, yɛkɔtoo wɔn wɔ Troa, dii nnawɔtwe wɔ hɔ.
And after the days of unleavened bread we sailed from Philippi, and came to them at Troas in five days, where we spent seven days.
7 Nnawɔtwe no mu da a ɛdi ɛkan no, yɛhyiaam sɛ anuanom didiiɛ. Esiane sɛ na adeɛ kye a Paulo bɛfiri kuro no mu no enti, ɔkasa kyerɛɛ anuanom no kɔsii ɔdasuom.
And upon the first day of the week, when the disciples were assembled together to break bread, Paul being about to depart on the morrow, preached unto them, and continued his discourse till midnight.
8 Na nkanea pii wɔ abansoro dan a yɛahyia wɔ hɔ no mu.
And there were many lamps in the upper room where they were assembled.
9 Ɛberɛ a Paulo rekasa no, na aberanteɛ bi a wɔfrɛ no Eutiko te mfɛnsere ano retɔ nko. Ɔdaa hatee maa ɔfiri abansoro dan a ɛtɔ so mmiɛnsa no so bɛhwee fam. Wɔmaa ne so no, na wawu.
And a young man named Eutychus, who sat in a window, falling into a deep sleep, as Paul was discoursing for a long time, sunk down and fell from the third story, and was taken up dead.
10 Paulo siane baa fam, kɔbutuu ne so, maa ne so kaa sɛ, “Monnsuro, ɛfiri sɛ, ɔnwuiɛ!”
And Paul went down and leaned over him, and took him up and said, Be not disturbed; for his life is in him.
11 Afei, ɔsane foro kɔɔ abansoro no so kɔbubuu burodo ne asuafoɔ no diiɛ. Paulo toaa ne kasa no so kɔsii adekyeɛ ansa na ɔregya wɔn hɔ.
Then he went up again, and having broken bread and eaten, and conversed with them a considerable time, even till break of day, he departed.
12 Anuanom no de anigyeɛ de aberanteɛ a wɔnyanee no no kɔɔ efie.
And they brought in the young man alive, and were not a little comforted.
13 Yɛde ɛhyɛn dii ɛkan kɔɔ Aso sɛ yɛrekɔfa Paulo wɔ hɔ, ɛfiri sɛ, na waka akyerɛ yɛn sɛ ɔrefa fam akɔ hɔ.
But we went before to the ship, and sailed to Assos, being there to take in Paul: for so he had appointed, designing himself to go on foot.
14 Ɔbɛkaa yɛn ho wɔ Aso na yɛne no toaa so kɔɔ Mitilene.
And as soon as he joined us at Assos, we took him in and came to Mitylene.
15 Adeɛ kyeeɛ no, yɛkɔduruu Kio. Ne nnanu so no, yɛbɛduruu Samo; na nʼadekyeeɛ no, yɛbɛduruu Mileto.
And sailing from thence we came the next day over against Chios; and the day following we arrived at Samos, and stopping at Trogyllium, we came the day after to Miletus.
16 Esiane sɛ na Paulo ho pere no sɛ, sɛ ɛbɛtumi a ɔbɛduru Yerusalem akɔdi Pentekoste Afahyɛ no wɔ hɔ no enti, ɔyɛɛ nʼadwene sɛ ɔrennyina Efeso, sɛdeɛ ɛbɛyɛ a ɔrenkyɛ wɔ Asia.
For Paul had determined to sail by Ephesus, that he might not spend time in Asia: for he endeavoured, if it were possible, to be at Jerusalem on the day of Pentecost.
17 Paulo soma firii Mileto kɔɔ Efeso kɔka kyerɛɛ asafo mpanimfoɔ no sɛ wɔnhyia no.
But he sent from Miletus to Ephesus, and called the elders of the church.
18 Wɔbaeɛ no, ɔka kyerɛɛ wɔn sɛ, “Ɛfiri da a ɛdi ɛkan a mebaa Asia no, monim ɛkwan a mefaa so ne mo tenaeɛ.
And when they were come to him, he said unto them, Ye know in what manner I behaved among you all the time, from the first day that I came into Asia.
19 Ɛwom sɛ ɛnam Yudafoɔ no pɔbɔ so maa mehunuu amane bebree de, nanso mede ahobrɛaseɛ ne nisuo yɛɛ mʼadwuma sɛ Awurade ɔsomfoɔ.
Serving the Lord with all humility, and many tears, and trials which befel me by the ambushes of the Jews.
20 Monim sɛ ɛberɛ a na merekyerɛkyerɛ mo wɔ dwam ne afie mu no, mamfa biribiara a ɛho bɛba mo mfasoɔ no anhinta mo.
And how I with-held nothing that was useful, but have declared it to you, and have taught you publicly and from house to house:
21 Mebɔɔ Yudafoɔ ne amanamanmufoɔ no kɔkɔ sɛ wɔntwe wɔn ho mfiri wɔn bɔne ho, mfa wɔn ho mma Onyankopɔn, na wɔnnye Yesu Kristo nni.
testifying both to the Jews and Greeks, repentance towards God, and faith in our Lord Jesus Christ.
22 “Afei, ɛsiane sɛ Honhom Kronkron ahyɛ me no enti, merekɔ Yerusalem a mennim asɛm a ɛbɛto me wɔ hɔ.
And now, being constrained by the spirit, behold I am going to Jerusalem, not knowing what will befal me there:
23 Deɛ menim ara ne sɛ kuropɔn biara a mɛkɔ so no, Honhom Kronkron bɔ me kɔkɔ sɛ wɔde me bɛto afiase na mahunu amane.
save that the holy Spirit testifieth in every city, that bonds and afflictions await me.
24 Sɛdeɛ ɛbɛyɛ a, mɛtumi maduru botaeɛ a ɛsi mʼanim no ho na mawie dwuma a Awurade Yesu de maa me sɛ menka Onyankopɔn dom ho asɛmpa no enti, mammu me kra sɛ adeɛ a ɛsom bo.
But none of these things move me, nor do I account my life dear, so that I may finish my course with joy, and the ministry which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.
25 “Menim sɛ mo a maka Onyankopɔn Ahennie no ho asɛm akyerɛ mo no mu biara renhunu me bio.
And now behold I know that ye all, among whom I have gone preaching the kingdom of God, shall see my face no more.
26 Ɛno enti, ɛnnɛ, mereka makyerɛ mo sɛ, sɛ ɛba sɛ mo mu bi yera a, na ɛmfiri me.
Wherefore I call you to witness this day, that I am clear from the blood of all men.
27 Ɛfiri sɛ, mamfa Onyankopɔn asɛm no mu biribiara anhinta mo.
For I have not failed to declare unto you all the counsel of God.
28 Monhwɛ mo ho so ne nnwankuo a Honhom Kronkron de wɔn ahyɛ mo nsa sɛ ahwɛfoɔ no yie. Monhwɛ wɔn yie, ɛfiri sɛ, Onyankopɔn de ne Ba no mogya na agye wɔn.
Take heed therefore to yourselves, and to all the flock, in which the holy Spirit hath appointed you bishops, to feed the church of God, which He purchased with his own blood.
29 Menim sɛ me kɔ akyi no, atorɔ akyerɛkyerɛfoɔ a wɔn ho yɛ hu sɛ mpataku bɛwura mo mu abɛsɛe mo.
For I know this, that after my departure grievous wolves will enter in among you, not sparing the flock.
30 Ɛberɛ bi bɛba a, mo mu binom bɛsɔre, nam atorɔ so atwe asuafoɔ no mu bi adi wɔn akyi.
And from among yourselves shall men arise, speaking perverse things to draw away disciples after them.
31 Ɛno enti, monna mo ho so! Monkae sɛ, mfirinhyia mmiɛnsa a medii wɔ mo nkyɛn no, menam amanehunu ne yea mu tuu mo fo awia ne anadwo.
Watch therefore, remembering that for the space of three years I ceased not by night and by day to warn every one with tears.
32 “Afei, mede mo hyɛ Onyankopɔn ne ne dom nsɛm a ɛtumi hyɛ mo gyidie den na ɛma monya nʼagyapadeɛ a wasiesie ama ahotefoɔ no nsa.
And now, my brethren, I recommend you to God, and to the word of his grace: who is able to edify you, and to give you an inheritance among all that are sanctified.
33 Mʼani ammere obi dwetɛ anaa sika anaa ntoma.
I have coveted no one's silver, or gold, or apparel:
34 Mo ara modi adanseɛ sɛ, me nsa ano adwuma so na menam mehwɛɛ me ho ne wɔn a wɔka me ho no.
and ye yourselves know that these hands have ministred to my necessities, and to those that were with me.
35 Mede mʼabrabɔ ayɛ nhwɛsoɔ akyerɛ mo sɛ, ɛsɛ sɛ yɛyere yɛn ho yɛ adwuma de boa ahiafoɔ na yɛkae sɛ, Awurade Yesu ankasa kaa sɛ, ‘Ɔma mu wɔ nhyira sene ɔgyeɛ.’”
I have shewed you in all things, that by labouring thus ye ought to support the infirm; and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, who said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.
36 Paulo kasa wieeɛ no ɔne wɔn nyinaa buu nkotodwe bɔɔ mpaeɛ.
And when he had said these things, he kneeled down, and prayed with them all.
37 Wɔn nyinaa suiɛ, bam no, maa no nanteyie.
And they were all much grieved, and fell on Paul's neck, and kissed him: sorrowing most of all at the word which he spake,
38 Deɛ ɛyɛɛ wɔn awerɛhoɔ koraa ne asɛm a ɔka kyerɛɛ wɔn sɛ, wɔrenhunu no bio no. Afei, wɔn nyinaa kɔgyaa no ɛhyɛn no mu.
that they should see his face no more. And they accompanied him to the ship.
