< Asomafoɔ 13 >

1 Adiyifoɔ ne akyerɛkyerɛfoɔ a na wɔwɔ Antiokia asafo no mu bi ne Barnaba ne Simeon, a na wɔfrɛ no “Onipa Tuntum,” Lukio a ɔyɛ Kireneni, Manaen, a ɔne Ɔhene Herode yɛ atipɛnfoɔ, ne Saulo.
Now there were in the church which was at Antioch, prophets and doctors, among whom was Barnabas, and Simon who was called Niger, and Lucius of Cyrene, and Manahen, who was the foster brother of Herod the tetrarch, and Saul.
2 Ɛberɛ a wɔresom Awurade na wɔredi mmuada no, Honhom Kronkron no ka kyerɛɛ wɔn sɛ, “Monyi Barnaba ne Saulo na wɔnkɔdi dwuma a ɛno enti mafrɛ wɔn no mma me.”
And as they were ministering to the Lord, and fasting, the Holy Ghost said to them: Separate me Saul and Barnabas, for the work whereunto I have taken them.
3 Wɔdii mmuada, bɔɔ mpaeɛ, de wɔn nsa guu wɔn so, somaa wɔn.
Then they, fasting and praying, and imposing their hands upon them, sent them away.
4 Honhom Kronkron somaa wɔn no, wɔkɔɔ Seleukia. Wɔfiri hɔ no, wɔtoaa wɔn akwantuo no so kɔduruu Kipro.
So they being sent by the Holy Ghost, went to Seleucia: and from thence they sailed to Cyprus.
5 Wɔduruu Salami no, wɔkaa Onyankopɔn asɛm wɔ Yudafoɔ hyiadan mu. Saa ɛberɛ no, na Yohane Marko ka wɔn ho sɛ ɔsomfoɔ.
And when they were come to Salamina, they preached the word of God in the synagogues of the Jews. And they had John also in the ministry.
6 Wɔtwaam wɔ supɔ no so kɔduruu Pafo, na ɛhɔ na wɔhyiaa Yudani nkonyaayifoɔ bi a ɔfrɛ ne ho sɛ odiyifoɔ a na ne din de Bar-Yesu.
And when they had gone through the whole island, as far as Paphos, they found a certain man, a magician, a false prophet, a Jew, whose name was Bar-jesu:
7 Na nʼadamfo ne amrado a ɔwɔ supɔ no so a ne din de Sergio Paulo no. Saa amrado a na ɔnim nyansa yie no soma ma wɔkɔfrɛɛ Barnaba ne Saulo, ɛfiri sɛ, na ɔrepɛ Onyankopɔn asɛm atie.
Who was with the proconsul Sergius Paulus, a prudent man. He sending for Barnabas and Saul, desired to hear the word of God.
8 Nanso, nkonyaayifoɔ Bar-Yesu a, Hela kasa mu wɔfrɛ no Elima no ampene so, ɛfiri sɛ, na ɔmpɛ sɛ amrado yi bɛtie Onyankopɔn asɛm.
But Elymas the magician (for so his name is interpreted) withstood them, seeking to turn away the proconsul from the faith.
9 Afei, Honhom Kronkron bɛhyɛɛ Saulo a ne din de Paulo no ma maa ɔhwɛɛ nkonyaayifoɔ Elima dinn kaa sɛ,
Then Saul, otherwise Paul, filled with the Holy Ghost, looking upon him,
10 “Ɔbonsam ba a ɔte sɛ wo! Wommpɛ ade pa biara yie. Nnaadaa ahodoɔ ahyɛ wo ma. Ɛberɛ biara, wopɛ sɛ wodane Awurade nokwasɛm ani ma ɛyɛ nkontomposɛm!
Said: O full of all guile, and of all deceit, child of the devil, enemy of all justice, thou ceasest not to pervert the right ways of the Lord.
11 Awurade bɛtwe wʼaso ama wʼani afira a worenhunu adeɛ firi saa ɛberɛ yi de kɔsi berɛ bi.” Ɛhɔ ara Elima ani firaeɛ a na ɔde ne nsa rekeka sɛ ɔbɛnya obi asɔ ne mu anaa.
And now behold, the hand of the Lord is upon thee, and thou shalt be blind, not seeing the sun for a time. And immediately there fell a mist and darkness upon him, and going about, he sought some one to lead him by the hand.
12 Amrado no hunuu asɛm a asi no, ɔgyee Awurade asɛm no diiɛ. Awurade ho asɛm a ɔteeɛ no maa ne ho dwirii no.
Then the proconsul, when he had seen what was done, believed, admiring at the doctrine of the Lord.
13 Paulo ne nʼahokafoɔ no tenaa ɛhyɛn mu firii Pafo kɔɔ Perge a ɛwɔ Pamfilia no; ɛhɔ na Yohane a ne din baako nso ne Marko no gyaa wɔn hɔ sane kɔɔ Yerusalem.
Now when Paul and they that were with him had sailed from Paphos, they came to Perge in Pamphylia. And John departing from them, returned to Jerusalem.
14 Wɔfiri Perge no, wɔkɔɔ Antiokia a ɛwɔ Pisidia. Ɛduruu Homeda no, wɔkɔɔ hyiadan mu kɔsomeeɛ.
But they passing through Perge, came to Antioch in Pisidia: and entering into the synagogue on the sabbath day, they sat down.
15 Wɔkenkan Mose Mmara no ne Adiyifoɔ no nsɛm wieeɛ no, hyiadan no mu mpanimfoɔ no soma kɔka kyerɛɛ wɔn sɛ, “Anuanom, sɛ mowɔ asɛm bi a mobɛka de ahyɛ nnipa no nkuran a, mowɔ ho kwan sɛ moka.”
And after the reading of the law and the prophets, the rulers of the synagogue sent to them, saying: Ye men, brethren, if you have any word of exhortation to make to the people, speak.
16 Afei, Paulo sɔre gyinaeɛ, nyamaa ne nsa hyɛɛ aseɛ kasaa sɛ, “Me nuanom Israelfoɔ ne amanamanmufoɔ a mowɔ ha a mosom Onyankopɔn no, montie me!
Then Paul rising up, and with his hand bespeaking silence, said: Ye men of Israel, and you that fear God, give ear.
17 Israel Onyankopɔn yii yɛn nananom ma wɔyɛɛ ɔman kɛseɛ ɛberɛ a na wɔte Misraim asase so no. Onyankopɔn nam ne tumi kɛseɛ so yii wɔn firii Misraim,
The God of the people of Israel chose our fathers, and exalted the people when they were sojourners in the land of Egypt, and with an high arm brought them out from thence,
18 na ɔhwɛɛ wɔn so wɔ ɛserɛ so mfeɛ aduanan.
And for the space of forty years endured their manners in the desert.
19 Ɔsɛee amanaman nson wɔ Kanaan asase so na ɔde asase no maa ne nkurɔfoɔ,
And destroying seven nations in the land of Chanaan, divided their land among them, by lot,
20 maa wɔtenaa so mfeɛ ahanan ne aduonum. Yei akyi no, ɔmaa atemmufoɔ dii wɔn so kɔsii sɛ Odiyifoɔ Samuel baeɛ.
As it were, after four hundred and fifty years: and after these things, he gave unto them judges, until Samuel the prophet.
21 Ɛberɛ a wɔpɛɛ sɛ wɔnya ɔhene ma ɔdi wɔn so no, Onyankopɔn de Kis ba Saulo a ɔfiri Benyamin abusua mu no maa wɔn maa ɔdii wɔn so mfeɛ aduanan.
And after that they desired a king: and God gave them Saul the son of Cis, a man of the tribe of Benjamin, forty years.
22 Onyankopɔn tuu Saulo adeɛ so na ɔde Dawid sii nʼanan mu. Asɛm a Onyankopɔn ka faa Dawid ho ne sɛ, ‘Mahunu sɛ Yisai ba Dawid ne onipa a mepɛ no; ɔyɛ onipa a ɔbɛyɛ deɛ mepɛ nyinaa.’
And when he had removed him, he raised them up David to be king: to whom giving testimony, he said: I have found David, the son of Jesse, a man according to my own heart, who shall do all my wills.
23 “Sɛdeɛ Onyankopɔn hyɛɛ ho bɔ no, Yesu a ɔyɛ Dawid aseni no na ɔyɛɛ no Israelfoɔ Agyenkwa.
Of this man’s seed God according to his promise, hath raised up to Israel a Saviour, Jesus:
24 Ansa na Yesu rebɛfiri nʼadwuma ase no, Yohane kaa adwensakyera ho asɛm kyerɛɛ Israelfoɔ sɛ, wɔnsakyera mfiri wɔn bɔne ho na wɔmma wɔmmɔ wɔn asu.
John first preaching, before his coming, the baptism of penance to all the people of Israel.
25 Ansa na Yohane rebɛwie nʼasɛnka no, ɔbisaa nnipa no sɛ, ‘Mosusu sɛ meyɛ hwan? Ɛnyɛ me ne onipa a moretwɛn no no. Ɛrenkyɛre biara, deɛ moretwɛn no no bɛba, na mensɛ sɛ mɛworɔ ne mpaboa afiri ne nan.’
And when John was fulfilling his course, he said: I am not he, whom you think me to be: but behold, there cometh one after me, whose shoes of his feet I am not worthy to loose.
26 “Me nuanom Abraham asefoɔ ne amanamanmufoɔ a mosom Onyankopɔn a mowɔ ha, yɛn enti na Onyankopɔn soma maa wɔde saa nkwagyesɛm yi abrɛ yɛn.
Men, brethren, children of the stock of Abraham, and whosoever among you fear God, to you the word of this salvation is sent.
27 Esiane sɛ na nnipa a na wɔte Yerusalem ne wɔn mpanimfoɔ nnim sɛ ɔno ne Agyenkwa no, na wɔnte adiyifoɔ no nsɛm a wɔkenkan no Homeda no ase no enti, wɔbuu Yesu kumfɔ, maa adiyifoɔ no nsɛm no baa mu.
For they that inhabited Jerusalem, and the rulers thereof, not knowing him, nor the voices of the prophets, which are read every sabbath, judging him have fulfilled them.
28 Ɛwom sɛ wɔannya afɔbusɛm bi annyina so ammu no kumfɔ de, nanso wɔsrɛɛ Pilato sɛ ɔnkum no.
And finding no cause of death in him, they desired of Pilate, that they might kill him.
29 Wɔyɛɛ biribiara a Atwerɛsɛm no ka fa ne ho wieeɛ no, wɔyii no firii asɛnnua no so kɔsiee no.
And when they had fulfilled all things that were written of him, taking him down from the tree, they laid him in a sepulchre.
30 Nanso, Onyankopɔn maa ɔsɔre firii awufoɔ mu,
But God raised him up from the dead the third day:
31 ne wusɔreɛ akyi no, na ɔtaa yi ne ho adi kyerɛ wɔn a na wɔne no tu kwan firi Galilea kɔ Yerusalem no. Wɔn ne nnipa a wɔdi ne ho adanseɛ kyerɛ Israelfoɔ no.
Who was seen for many days, by them who came up with him from Galilee to Jerusalem, who to this present are his witnesses to the people.
32 “Afei, yɛwɔ ha sɛ yɛrebɛka asɛmpa no akyerɛ mo sɛ, Onyankopɔn nam sɔre a ɔmaa Yesu Kristo sɔre firii awufoɔ mu no so ama bɔ a ɔhyɛɛ yɛn nananom no aba mu.
And we declare unto you, that the promise which was made to our fathers,
33 Yei ne deɛ wɔatwerɛ wɔ Nnwom a ɛtɔ so mmienu mu no sɛ, “‘Woyɛ me ba; ɛnnɛ, mayɛ wʼAgya.’
This same God hath fulfilled to our children, raising up Jesus, as in the second psalm also is written: Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee.
34 Asɛm a Onyankopɔn ka faa sɔre a ɔmaa no sɔre firii awufoɔ mu na ɔrensane nkɔ porɔeɛ mu no ne sɛ, “‘Mede nhyira kronkron a mehyɛɛ Dawid ho bɔ no bɛhyira wo.’
And to shew that he raised him up from the dead, not to return now any more to corruption, he said thus: I will give you the holy things of David faithful.
35 Wɔaka no baabi nso sɛ, “‘Woremma wo Kronkronni no mporɔ.’
And therefore, in another place also, he saith: Thou shalt not suffer thy holy one to see corruption.
36 “Dawid ɛberɛ so, ɔsomm Onyankopɔn kɔsii sɛ ɔwuiɛ ma wɔsiee no ne nananom nkyɛn pɛɛ, na ɔporɔeɛ.
For David, when he had served in his generation, according to the will of God, slept: and was laid unto his fathers, and saw corruption.
37 Nanso, deɛ Onyankopɔn nyanee no firii awufoɔ mu no amporɔ.
But he whom God hath raised from the dead, saw no corruption.
38 “Anuanom, ɛsɛ sɛ mo nyinaa te aseɛ sɛ, ɛnam Yesu so na wɔka bɔne fakyɛ ho asɛm kyerɛ mo.
Be it known therefore to you, men, brethren, that through him forgiveness of sins is preached to you: and from all the things, from which you could not be justified by the law of Moses.
39 Ɛsɛ sɛ mote aseɛ sɛ, obiara a ɔgye no di no, wɔabu no bem a anka Mose mmara ntumi mmu no no.
In him every one that believeth, is justified.
40 Monhwɛ yie na adiyifoɔ no nkɔm a wɔhyɛɛ yi amma no so:
Beware, therefore, lest that come upon you which is spoken in the prophets:
41 “‘Mo fɛdifoɔ! Momma ɛnyɛ mo nwanwa na mo ho nnwiri mo! Ɛfiri sɛ, merebɛyɛ biribi wɔ mo berɛ so, na sɛ obi ka kyerɛ mo a, morennye nni!’”
Behold, ye despisers, and wonder, and perish: for I work a work in your days, a work which you will not believe, if any man shall tell it you.
42 Paulo ne Barnaba refiri asɔredan no mu no, nnipa no srɛɛ wɔn sɛ Homeda a ɛreba no, wɔmmra mmɛkyerɛkyerɛ wɔn bio.
And as they went out, they desired them, that on the next sabbath, they would speak unto them these words.
43 Nnipa no wiee nhyiamu no, Yudafoɔ ne amanamanmufoɔ bebree a wɔasakyera aba Yudasom mu no tu dii Paulo ne Barnaba akyi. Asomafoɔ no tuu wɔn fo, hyɛɛ wɔn nkuran sɛ wɔntena ase Onyankopɔn adom mu.
And when the synagogue was broken up, many of the Jews, and of the strangers who served God, followed Paul and Barnabas: who speaking to them, persuaded them to continue in the grace of God.
44 Homeda a ɛdi so no duruiɛ no, ɛkame ayɛ sɛ wɔn a wɔte kuro no mu no nyinaa bɛtiee Awurade asɛm.
But the next sabbath day, the whole city almost came together, to hear the word of God.
45 Yudafoɔ no hunuu nnipakuo no, wɔn ani bereeɛ, ma wɔsɔre gyee nsɛm a Paulo reka no ho akyinnyeɛ, kasa tiaa no.
And the Jews seeing the multitudes, were filled with envy, and contradicted those things which were said by Paul, blaspheming.
46 Nanso, Paulo ne Barnaba de akokoɔduru kɔɔ so kaa sɛ, “Mone nnipa a ɛsɛ sɛ wɔka Onyankopɔn asɛm no kyerɛ mo kane. Na sɛ moapo, na mommu mo ho sɛ nkwa a ɛnni awieeɛ ho hia mo enti a, yɛbɛgya mo hɔ akɔ amanamanmufoɔ no nkyɛn. (aiōnios g166)
Then Paul and Barnabas said boldly: To you it behoved us first to speak the word of God: but because you reject it, and judge yourselves unworthy of eternal life, behold we turn to the Gentiles. (aiōnios g166)
47 Ahyɛdeɛ a Awurade de ama yɛn ne sɛ, “‘Mɛma mo ayɛ amanamanmufoɔ nyinaa kanea; ɛnam mo so na wɔbɛgye ewiasefoɔ nyinaa nkwa.’”
For so the Lord hath commanded us: I have set thee to be the light of the Gentiles; that thou mayest be for salvation unto the utmost part of the earth.
48 Amanamanmufoɔ no tee saa asɛm yi no, wɔn ani gyeeɛ na wɔkamfoo Awurade asɛm no, na wɔn a wɔayi wɔn ama nkwa a ɛnni awieeɛ no bɛyɛɛ agyidifoɔ. (aiōnios g166)
And the Gentiles hearing it, were glad, and glorified the word of the Lord: and as many as were ordained to life everlasting, believed. (aiōnios g166)
49 Na Awurade asɛm no trɛɛ ɔmantam no mu nyinaa.
And the word of the Lord was published throughout the whole country.
50 Nanso, Yudafoɔ no tuu nnipa atitire a wɔwɔ kuro no mu no ne mmaa Nyamesurofoɔ a na wɔwɔ hɔ bi a wɔdi mu no aso maa wɔtaa Paulo ne Barnaba, pamoo wɔn firii ɔman no mu.
But the Jews stirred up religious and honourable women, and the chief men of the city, and raised persecution against Paul and Barnabas: and cast them out of their coasts.
51 Nanso, asomafoɔ no poroporoo wɔn nan ase mfuturo guu wɔn so firii hɔ kɔɔ Ikoniom.
But they, shaking off the dust of their feet against them, came to Iconium.
52 Anigyeɛ ne Honhom Kronkron hyɛɛ asuafoɔ a na wɔwɔ Antiokia no ma.
And the disciples were filled with joy and with the Holy Ghost.
