< 2 Timoteo 1 >

1 Nwoma yi firi Paulo a ɔyɛ Kristo Yesu ɔsomafoɔ no nkyɛn. Onyankopɔn ankasa na ɔfrɛɛ me sɛ ɔsomafoɔ, sɛ menkɔbɔ nkwa a ɔnam Kristo Yesu so de baeɛ no ho dawuro.
Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus, through the will of God, —according to the promise of life in Christ Jesus; —
2 Mede kɔma me dɔba Timoteo: Adom, mmɔborɔhunu ne asomdwoeɛ mfiri Agya Onyankopɔn ne yɛn Awurade Kristo Yesu nka wo.
Unto Timothy, my beloved child: Favour, mercy, peace, from God our Father, and Christ Jesus our Lord.
3 Meda Onyankopɔn a mede adwene mu fann som no sɛdeɛ me mpanimfoɔ yɛeɛ no ase. Daa, anadwo ne awia, mekae wo wɔ me mpaeɛbɔ mu.
Grateful, am I, unto God, —unto whom I am rendering divine service from my progenitors in a pure conscience, that, incessant, hold I the remembrance, concerning thee, in my supplications; day and night,
4 Mekae wo nisuteɛ ɛberɛ a yɛredi mpaapaemu no a, ɛma mʼani gyina wo. Enti sɛ mehunu wo bio a mʼani bɛgye.
longing to see thee, being mindful of thy tears, —in order that, with joy, I may be filled:
5 Mekae gyidie a emu yɛ den a na wowɔ, gyidie a ɛfirii aseɛ firii wo nana Lois ne wo maame Eunike mu no, na megye di sɛ woda so kura saa gyidie no a emu yɛ den no ara mu.
A reminder, having received, of the unfeigned faith, that is in thee, —such, as dwelt first in thy grandmother Lois, and in thy mother Eunice, —I am persuaded, moreover, that [it dwelleth], in thee also.
6 Yei enti merebɔ wo nkaeɛ sɛ kae akyɛdeɛ a ɛberɛ a mede me nsa guu wo so no Onyankopɔn de maa wo no.
For which cause, I put thee in remembrance, to be stirring up God’s gift of favour, which is in thee through means of the laying on of my hands;
7 Ɛfiri sɛ, Honhom a Onyankopɔn de maa yɛn no mma yɛnyɛ ahufoɔ; na mmom, Honhom no ma yɛn tumi, ɔdɔ ne ahohyɛsoɔ.
For God hath not given us a spirit of cowardice, but of power, and love, and correction.
8 Mma wʼani nnwu Awurade adansedie, ne me a meyɛ ne deduani ho. Na sɛ ɔhaw bi to wo Asɛmpa no ka ho a, gyina pintinn wɔ ahoɔden a Onyankopɔn de ama wo no mu.
Be not thou, therefore, put to shame—with regard to the witness of our Lord, nor with regard to me his prisoner; but suffer hardship together with the glad-message according to the power of God, —
9 Ɔgyee yɛn nkwa frɛɛ yɛn sɛ yɛmmɛyɛ ne dea. Ɛnyɛ biribi pa bi a yɛayɛ enti, na mmom, ɛyɛ nʼadom ara kwa. Ansa na wɔrehyɛ ewiase ase no na ɔnam Kristo Yesu so kyɛɛ yɛn saa adom no, (aiōnios g166)
Who hath saved us, and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to the peculiar purpose and favour—which was given to us in Christ Jesus before age-during times, (aiōnios g166)
10 na seesei, ɔnam Agyenkwa Kristo Yesu ba a ɔbɛba no so ada biribiara adi akyerɛ yɛn. Kristo, yɛn Agyenkwa dii owuo so nkonim, na ɔde anigyesɛm a ɛhyerɛn te sɛ kanea na ɛma nkwa a ɛnni awieeɛ brɛɛ yɛn.
But hath now been made manifest through means of the forthshining of our Saviour Christ Jesus, —Who, indeed, hath abolished death, and hath thrown light upon life and incorruptibility, through means of the glad-message:
11 Onyankopɔn ayi me sɛ ɔsomafoɔ ne ɔkyerɛkyerɛfoɔ sɛ menna Asɛmpa no adi.
Whereunto, I, have been appointed herald and apostle and teacher;
12 Ɛnam yeinom so enti na mehunu saa amaneɛ yi. Nanso, meda so wɔ gyidie, ɛfiri sɛ, menim deɛ mede me ho to no so no, na menim nso sɛ ɔbɛkora deɛ mede ahyɛ ne nsa no ama da no nso.
For which cause, these things also, am I suffering; nevertheless I am not being put to shame, for I know him whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is, able, to guard, that which I have entrusted, [to him] unto, that, day.
13 Sɔ nokwasɛm a mekyerɛɛ wo no mu yie, na fa yɛ nhwɛsodeɛ, na tena gyidie ne ɔdɔ a ɛyɛ yɛn dea wɔ Kristo Yesu mu no.
An outline, have thou, of healthful discourses which from me thou hast heard—with the faith and love which are in Christ Jesus:
14 Wɔde ademudeɛ a ɛsom bo ahyɛ wo nsa. Fa Honhom Kronkron a ɔte wo mu no mmoa bɔ ho ban.
The noble thing entrusted [to thee], do thou guard, through means of the Holy Spirit which dwelleth within us.
15 Sɛdeɛ wonim no, Akristofoɔ a wɔfiri Asia baa ha no nyinaa adwane agya me. Figelo ne Hermogene nso ka wɔn ho.
Thou knowest this—that all they who are in Asia have turned away from me, —of whom are Phygelus and Hermogenes.
16 Awurade nhunu Onesiforo fiefoɔ mmɔbɔ ɛfiri sɛ, ɔhyɛɛ me nkuran mpɛn bebree. Nʼani anwu wɔ me ho sɛ mada afiase pɛn,
The Lord grant mercy unto the house, of Onesiphorus, in that, ofttimes, hath he refreshed me, and, as regardeth my chain, hath not been put to shame,
17 na ɔduruu Roma ara pɛ, ɔbɔɔ mmɔden hwehwɛɛ me ara kɔsii sɛ ɔhunuu me.
But, happening to be in Rome, he diligently sought out and found me, —
18 Awurade mmoa no na da no ɔnnya ahummɔborɔ mfiri Awurade no nkyɛn! Wonim akwan ahodoɔ a ɔfaa so boaa me wɔ Efeso.
The Lord grant him to find mercy from [the] Lord in, that, day; —and, how many times, in Ephesus, he hath ministered, better art, thou, getting to know.
