< 2 Samuel 9 >

1 Ɛda bi, Dawid pɛɛ sɛ ɔbɛhunu sɛ obi aka wɔ Saulo fie anaa. Ɛfiri sɛ na wahyɛ Yonatan bɔ sɛ ɔbɛyɛ wɔn adɔeɛ.
And David said, Is there yet any one that is left of the house of Saul, that I may show him kindness for the sake of Jonathan?
2 Ɔfrɛɛ ɔbarima bi a wɔfrɛ no Siba a na anka ɔfra Saulo asomfoɔ mu. Na ɔhene bisaa no sɛ, “Wo na wɔfrɛ wo Siba no anaa?” Ɔbuaa no sɛ, “Aane, mene Siba no.”
And the house of Saul had a servant whose name was Ziba; and they called him unto David; and the king said unto him, Art thou Ziba? And be said, Thy servant [is it].
3 Ɔhene no bisaa no sɛ, “Obi aka wɔ Saulo efie anaa? Sɛ ɛte saa a mepɛ sɛ mɛyɛ wɔn adɔeɛ a ɛfiri Onyankopɔn wɔ ɛkwan biara a mɛtumi so.”
And the king said, Is there no one left any more of the house of Saul, that I may show him the kindness of God! And Ziba said unto the king, There is yet a son of Jonathan, lame on both feet.
4 Ɔhene bisaa sɛ, “Ɔwɔ he?” Siba buaa sɛ, “Ɔwɔ Amiel babarima Makir fie wɔ Lo-debar.”
And the king said unto him, Where is he? And Ziba said unto the king, Behold, he is in the house of Machir, the son of 'Ammiel, in Lo-debar.
5 Na ɔhene Dawid ma wɔkɔfaa no firii Amiel babarima Makir fie wɔ Lo-debar, de no brɛɛ no.
And king David sent, and had him taken out of the house of Machir, the son of 'Ammiel, from Lo-debar.
Ɔbaa Dawid anim no, ɔde ahopopoɔ kotoo no, kaa sɛ, “Meyɛ wo ɔsomfoɔ.”
And Mephibosheth, the son of Jonathan, the son of Saul, came unto David, and he fell on his face, and bowed himself. And David said, Mephibosheth; And he answered, Here is thy servant!
7 Dawid ka kyerɛɛ no sɛ, “Nsuro, na deɛ ɛbɛyɛ biara no, ɛsiane wʼagya Yonatan enti, mɛyɛ wo adɔeɛ. Nsase a na ɛyɛ wo nana Saulo agyapadeɛ no nyinaa, mɛsane mede mama wo, na woadidi me didipono so daa daa.”
And David said unto him, Fear not; for I will surely show thee kindness for the sake of Jonathan thy father, and I will restore unto thee all the land of Saul thy father; and thou shalt eat bread at my table continually.
8 Mefiboset bɔɔ ne mu ase kaa sɛ, “Hwan ne me, ɔkraman funu a ɛsɛ sɛ wɔyɛ me saa adɔeɛ yi?”
And he bowed himself, and said, What is thy servant, that thou shouldst turn thy regard unto such a dead dog as I am?
9 Ɔhene frɛɛ ne ɔsomfoɔ Siba, ka kyerɛɛ no sɛ, “Mede biribiara a na ɛyɛ Saulo ne ne fiefoɔ agyapadeɛ no nyinaa ama wo wura Saulo nanabarima no.
Then called the king for Ziba, Saul's servant, and said unto him, all that hath pertained to Saul and to all his house have I given unto thy master's son.
10 Wo ne wo mmammarima ne mo asomfoɔ na mobɛdɔ asase no, ayɛ so mfuo ama no, na wanya aduane ama ne fiefoɔ.
And thou shalt till for him the land, thou, and thy sons, and thy servants, and thou shalt bring in [the product], that thy master's son may have bread which he can eat; but Mephibosheth thy master's son shall eat continually bread at my table. Now Ziba had fifteen sons and twenty servants.
11 “Me wura pa, asɛm a woaka akyerɛ me no nyinaa, mɛdi so.”
And Ziba said unto the king, In accordance with all that my Lord the king may command his servant, so will thy servant do. And Mephibosheth [said the king] shall eat at my table, as one of the king's sons.
Na ɛfiri saa ɛberɛ no, Siba fiefoɔ nyinaa bɛyɛɛ Mefiboset asomfoɔ.
And Mephibosheth had a young son, whose name was Micha. And all that dwelt in the house of Ziba were servants unto Mephibosheth.
13 Na Mefiboset a ɔyɛ obubuafoɔ no tu kɔɔ Yerusalem kɔtenaa ahemfie hɔ.
And Mephibosheth dwelt in Jerusalem; for he ate continually at the king's table; and he was lame on both his feet.
