< 2 Petro 1 >

1 Krataa yi firi Simon Petro a meyɛ Yesu Kristo ɔsomfoɔ ne ne ɔsomafoɔ nkyɛn, Mede kɔma wɔn a ɛsiane yɛn Onyankopɔn ne yɛn Agyenkwa Yesu Kristo tenenee enti, wɔama wɔn gyidie a ɛsom bo te sɛ yɛn deɛ no ara pɛ no:
Simeon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to those who obtained an equally precious faith with us in the righteousness of our God and Savior Jesus Christ:
2 Adom ne asomdwoeɛ a ɛdɔɔso a ɛfiri Onyankopɔn ne Yesu a ɔyɛ yɛn Awurade no mmra mo so.
Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the acknowledgment of God and of Jesus our Lord!
As His divine power has given to us all things pertaining to life and piety, through the acknowledgment of Him who called us through glory and virtue,
4 Ɔnam nʼanimuonyam ne ne nnepa so ahyɛ yɛn bɔ a ɛsom bo yie. Ɛno enti, wama yɛn ne su kronkron no bi, sɛdeɛ ɛbɛyɛ a yɛbɛfiri ewiase yi porɔeɛ a akɔnnɔ bɔne de ba no mu.
through which the most great and precious promises have been given to us, that through these you may become partakers of a divine nature, having escaped from the corruption [and] lust in the world.
5 Esiane saa enti, mommɔ mmɔden mfa nneyɛeɛ a ɛho teɛ nka mo gyidie ho; na momfa nimdeɛ nka nneyɛeɛ a ɛho teɛ ho;
And [for] this same [reason] also, having brought in all diligence, supplement your faith with virtue, and with virtue—knowledge,
6 na momfa ahohyɛsoɔ nka mo nimdeɛ ho; na momfa boasetɔ nka mo ahohyɛsoɔ ho; na momfa nyamesom pa nka mo boasetɔ ho;
and with knowledge—self-control, and with self-control—endurance, and with endurance—piety,
7 na momfa onuadɔ nka nyamesom pa ho, na momfa ɔdɔ amapa nka onuadɔ ho.
and with piety—brotherly kindness, and with brotherly kindness—love;
8 Yeinom ne su pa a ɛho hia mo. Na sɛ monya ma ɛdɔɔso a, ɛbɛma mo ayɛ nnam wɔ yɛn Awurade Yesu Kristo ho nimdeɛ mu.
for these things being in you and abounding, make [you] neither inert nor unfruitful in regard to the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ,
9 Na obiara a ɔnni bi no yɛ onifirani a ɔntumi nhunu adeɛ. Ne werɛ afiri sɛ wɔahohoro ne bɔne dada.
for he with whom these things are not present is blind, dim-sighted, having become forgetful of the cleansing of his old sins;
10 Enti, me nuanom adɔfoɔ, monyere mo ho wɔ dwuma no die mu, na ɛnni mo ho adanseɛ ampa ara sɛ Onyankopɔn afrɛ mo, ayi mo atena hɔ afebɔɔ. Sɛ moyɛ saa a, morensunti na morempa aba nso.
therefore, rather, brothers, be diligent to make steadfast your calling and [divine] selection, for doing these things you may never stumble;
11 Sɛ mofa saa ɛkwan yi so a, wɔbɛma mo akɔ yɛn Awurade ne yɛn Agyenkwa Yesu Kristo Ahennie a ɛtoɔ ntwa da no mu. (aiōnios g166)
in this way the entrance into the continuous kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ will be richly supplemented to you. (aiōnios g166)
12 Ne saa enti, daa mekaakae mo saa asɛm yi a monim na atim nokorɛ a moagye adi no mu no.
Therefore, I will always be ready to remind you about these things, although you have known [them] and have been established in the present truth,
13 Mesusu sɛ, ɛyɛ sɛ mmerɛ dodoɔ a mete ase yi, mɛbɔ mo nkaeɛ wɔ saa asɛm yi ho.
and I think right, so long as I am in this tent, to stir you up in reminding [you],
14 Menim sɛ ɛrenkyɛre biara mɛgya saa ɔhonam yi hɔ sɛdeɛ yɛn Awurade Yesu Kristo daa no adi kyerɛɛ me no.
having known that the laying aside of my tent is soon, even as our Lord Jesus Christ also showed to me.
15 Mɛbɔ mmɔden sɛ mɛfa ɛkwan biara so ama mo akae saa nsɛm yi ɛberɛ biara wɔ me wuo akyi.
And I will also be diligent [to ensure] that you always have a remembrance to make of these things after my departure.
16 Ɛnyɛ anansesɛm na yɛte bɛka kyerɛɛ mo wɔ yɛn Awurade Yesu Kristo tumi ne ba a ɔrebɛba no ho, na mmom, yɛahunu na yɛdi ne kɛseyɛ no ho adanseɛ.
For having not followed out skillfully devised fables, we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but having become eyewitnesses of His majesty—
17 Yɛwɔ hɔ bi na Agya Onyankopɔn hyɛɛ no animuonyam ɛberɛ a nne bi firi Animuonyam kɛseɛ mu kaa sɛ, “Yei ne me Dɔba a ɔsɔ mʼani!” no.
for having received honor and glory from God the Father, such a voice being borne to Him by the Excellent Glory: “This is My Son, the Beloved, in whom I delighted”;
18 Yɛn ankasa tee nne no sɛ ɛfiri ɔsoro reba ɛberɛ a na yɛne no wɔ Bepɔ Kronkron no so no.
and we heard this voice borne out of Heaven, being with Him at the holy mountain.
19 Ɛno enti, ɛma yɛnya nkɔm a odiyifoɔ no hyɛeɛ no mu gyidie yie. Ɛsɛ sɛ motie no yie ɛfiri sɛ, ɛte sɛ kanea a ɛhyerɛn wɔ sum mu kɔsi da a adeɛ bɛkye ama anɔpa nsoromma ahyerɛn wɔ mo akoma mu no.
And we have a more firm prophetic word, to which we do well giving heed, as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until day may dawn, and [the] morning star may arise in your hearts;
20 Yeinom nyinaa akyi no, monkae saa asɛm yi: Obiara nni hɔ a ɔnam nʼankasa so bɛtumi akyerɛ Atwerɛsɛm mu nkɔmhyɛ ase.
knowing this first, that no prophecy of the Writing comes of private exposition,
21 Na nkɔmhyɛ biara mfiri onipa pɛ mu, na mmom, Honhom Kronkron tumi mu na nnipa ka asɛm a ɛfiri Onyankopɔn.
for prophecy never came by [the] will of man, but men spoke from God, being brought by the Holy Spirit.
