< 2 Ahemfo 21 >

1 Ɛberɛ a Manase dii ɔhene no, na wadi mfeɛ dumienu, na ɔdii ɔhene Yerusalem mfirinhyia aduonum enum. Na ne maame din de Hefsiba.
Manasses was twelve years old when he began to reign, and he reigned five and fifty years in Jerusalem: the name of his mother was Haphsiba.
2 Ɔyɛɛ bɔne wɔ Awurade ani so, suasuaa abosonsomfoɔ aman nneyɛeɛ a ɛyɛ akyiwadeɛ. Ɔsuaa deɛ ɛnam so maa Awurade pamoo abosonsomfoɔ no firii asase a ɛda Israel anim no so no.
And he did evil in the sight of the Lord, according to the idols of the nations, which the Lord destroyed from before the face of the children of Israel.
3 Ɔsane sisii abosonsomfoɔ abosonnan a nʼagya Hesekia bubu guiɛ no. Ɔyɛɛ afɔrebukyia pii maa Baal, ɛnna ɔsii Asera dua, sɛdeɛ Israelhene Ahab yɛeɛ ara pɛ. Afei, ɔkoto sɔree ewiem atumfoɔ.
And he turned, and built up the high places which Ezechias his father had destroyed: and he set up altars to Baal, and made groves, as Achab the king of Israel had done: and he adored all the host of heaven, and served them.
4 Na mpo, ɔsisii abosom afɔrebukyia pii wɔ Awurade asɔredan mu; baabi a Awurade aka sɛ wɔnhyɛ ne din animuonyam no.
And he built altars in the house of the Lord, of which the Lord said: In Jerusalem I will put my name.
5 Ɔsisii saa afɔrebukyia no wɔ Awurade Asɔredan no adihɔ mmienu hɔ.
And he built altars for all the host of heaven in the two courts of the temple of the Lord.
6 Na mpo, Manase de ɔno ankasa babarima bɔɔ afɔdeɛ wɔ ogya mu. Na ɔyɛ abayisɛm, kɔ abisa. Ɔkɔɔ asamanfrɛfoɔ hɔ ne asumanfoɔ so. Ɔyɛɛ bɔne bebree Awurade ani so, ma ɛhyɛɛ no abufuo.
And he made his son pass through fire: and he used divination, and observed omens, and appointed pythons, and multiplied soothsayers to do evil before the Lord, and to provoke him.
7 Manase faa Asera dua a wayɛ no, de kɔsii asɔredan mu, beaeɛ korɔ no ara a Awurade ka kyerɛɛ Dawid ne ne babarima Salomo sɛ, “Wɔbɛhyɛ me din animuonyam wɔ ha daa nyinaa wɔ saa asɔredan yi mu wɔ Yerusalem. Yerusalem yɛ kuro a mayi afiri Israel mmusuakuo a aka no nyinaa mu.
He set also an idol of the grove, which he had made, in the temple of the Lord: concerning which the Lord said to David, and to Solomon his son: In this temple, and in Jerusalem, which I have chosen out of all the tribes of Israel, I will put my name for ever.
8 Na sɛ Israelfoɔ bɛtie mʼahyɛdeɛ a menam mʼakoa Mose so hyɛ maa wɔn no a, merentwa wɔn asuo mfiri asase yi a mede maa wɔn agyanom no so.”
And I will no more make the feet of Israel to be moved out of the land, which I gave to their fathers: only if they will observe to do all that I have commanded them according to the law which my servant Moses commanded them.
9 Nanso, nnipa no antie. Manase dii wɔn anim, ma wɔyɛɛ bɔne bebree a ɛsene abosonsom aman a Awurade sɛee no ɛberɛ a Israelfoɔ kɔɔ saa asase no so no mpo.
But they hearkened not: but were seduced by Manasses, to do evil more than the nations which the Lord destroyed before the children of Israel.
10 Awurade nam nʼasomfoɔ a wɔyɛ nʼadiyifoɔ so kaa sɛ,
And the Lord spoke in the hand of his servants, the prophets, saying:
11 “Yudahene Manase ayɛ akyiwadeɛ bebree. Na mpo, ɔyɛ omumuyɛfoɔ sene Amorifoɔ a wɔbɛtenaa asase yi so ansa na Israel reba no. Wadi Yudafoɔ anim, de wɔn akɔ ahonisom mu.
Because Manasses king of Juda hath done these most wicked abominations, beyond all that the Amorrhites did before him, and hath made Juda also to sin with his filthy doings:
12 Enti, sei na Awurade, Israel Onyankopɔn, seɛ: Mede ɔhaw ne abɛbrɛsɛ bɛto Yerusalem ne Yuda so ama aso a ɛbɛte saa nsɛm no mu ayɛ no gyenn.
Therefore thus saith the Lord the God of Israel: Behold I will bring on evils upon Jerusalem and Juda: that whosoever shall hear of them, both his ears shall tingle.
13 Mɛfa ɛkwan a menam so buu Samaria ne Ahab abusua atɛn no so mabu Yerusalem atɛn. Mɛpepa nnipa a wɔwɔ Yerusalem nyinaa, te sɛ deɛ obi hohoro ayowaa mu, na ɔdane butu no.
And I will stretch over Jerusalem the line of Samaria, and the weight of the house of Achab: and I will efface Jerusalem, as tables are wont to be effaced, and I will erase and turn it, and draw the pencil often over the face thereof.
14 Na mpo, mɛpo me nkurɔfoɔ kakra a wɔaka no, na mede wɔn bɛma wɔn atamfoɔ sɛ asadeɛ.
And I will leave the remnants of my inheritance, and will deliver them into the hands of their enemies: and they shall become a prey, and a spoil to all their enemies.
15 Ɛfiri sɛ, wɔayɛ bɔne kɛseɛ wɔ mʼanim, nam so ahyɛ me abufuo, firi ɛberɛ a wɔn agyanom firii Misraim no.”
Because they have done evil before me, and have continued to provoke me, from the day that their fathers came out of Egypt, even unto this day.
16 Manase kunkumm nnipa a wɔnyɛɛ bɔne nso bebree kɔsii sɛ, mogya a ɛdi bem hyɛɛ Yerusalem ma, firi tire kɔsi tire. Yei ka bɔne a ɔmaa Yudafoɔ no yɛ de wɔn kɔɔ bɔne a wɔyɛɛ no Awurade ani so no ho.
Moreover Manasses shed also very much innocent blood, till he filled Jerusalem up to the mouth: besides his sins, wherewith he made Juda to sin, to do evil before the Lord.
17 Manase ahennie ho nsɛm nkaeɛ ne dwuma a ɔdiiɛ nyinaa ne bɔne a ɔyɛeɛ no, wɔatwerɛ agu Yuda Ahemfo Abakɔsɛm Nwoma no mu.
Now the rest of the acts of Manasses, and all that he did, and his sin which he sinned, are they not written in the book of the words of the days of the kings of Juda?
18 Manase wuiɛ no, wɔsiee no wɔ ahemfie no turo a na ɛyɛ Usa dea no mu. Na ne babarima Amon na ɔdii nʼadeɛ sɛ ɔhene.
And Manasses slept with his fathers, and was buried in the garden of his own house, in the garden of Oza: and Amen his son reigned in his stead.
19 Amon dii ɔhene no, na wadi mfeɛ aduonu mmienu. Ɔdii ɔhene Yerusalem mfeɛ mmienu. Na wɔfrɛ ne maame Mesulemet a na ɔyɛ Harus a ɔfiri Yolba no babaa.
Two and twenty years old was Amen when he began to reign, and he reigned two years in Jerusalem: the name of his mother was Messalemeth the daughter of Harus of Jeteba.
20 Ɔyɛɛ bɔne wɔ Awurade ani so, sɛdeɛ nʼagya Manase yɛeɛ no ara pɛ.
And he did evil in the sight, of the Lord, as Manasses his father had done.
21 Ɔfaa nʼagya nhwɛsoɔ so, somm ahoni korɔ no ara a na nʼagya somm wɔn no.
And he walked in all the way in which his father had walked: and he served the abominations which his father had served, and he adored them;
22 Ɔgyaa Awurade, nʼagyanom Onyankopɔn no na wampɛ sɛ ɔbɛfa Awurade akwan so.
And forsook the Lord the God of his fathers, and walked not in the way of the Lord.
23 Na Amon no ankasa asomfoɔ bɔɔ ne ho pɔ, kumm no wɔ nʼahemfie.
And his servants plotted against him, and slew the king in his own house.
24 Na nnipa a wɔwɔ asase no so nyinaa kunkumm nnipa a wɔbɔɔ ɔhene Amon ho pɔ no, na wɔde ne babarima Yosia dii adeɛ sɛ ɔhene.
But the people of the land slew all them that had conspired against king Amen: and made Josias his son their king in his stead.
25 Amon ahennie ho nsɛm nkaeɛ ne dwuma a ɔdiiɛ no nyinaa, wɔatwerɛ agu Yuda Ahemfo Abakɔsɛm Nwoma no mu.
But the rest of the acts of Amen which he did, are they not written in the book of the words of the days of the kings of Juda?
26 Wɔsiee no wɔ ne boda a ɛwɔ Usa turo mu hɔ no mu. Na ne babarima Yosia dii adeɛ sɛ ɔhene.
And they buried him in his sepulchre in the garden of Oza: and his son Josias reigned in his stead.
