1 Saa ɛberɛ no mu, ɔhene Hesekia yaree yarewuo, ɛnna Amos babarima odiyifoɔ Yesaia kɔsraa no. Ɔkaa saa asɛm yi kyerɛɛ ɔhene no, “Sɛdeɛ Awurade seɛ nie: Hyɛ wo nsamanseɛ, ɛfiri sɛ, wobɛwu. Wo yadeɛ no rennyae.”
In those days was Hezekiah sick unto death. And the prophet Isaiah the son of Amoz came to him, and said unto him, Thus saith Yhwh, Set thine house in order; for thou shalt die, and not live.
2 Ɛberɛ a Hesekia tee asɛm yi, ɔtwaa nʼani hwɛɛ fasuo, bɔɔ Awurade mpaeɛ sɛ,
Then he turned his face to the wall, and prayed unto Yhwh, saying,
3 “Kae, Ao, Awurade, sɛdeɛ manante wʼanim nokorɛm na mede mʼakoma ayɛ deɛ ɛfata wɔ wʼanim.” Na Hesekia suu bebree.
I beseech thee, O Yhwh, remember now how I have walked before thee in truth and with a perfect heart, and have done that which is good in thy sight. And Hezekiah wept sore.
4 Na ansa na Yesaia bɛfiri adihɔ no mfimfini no, Awurade de asɛm yi bɛsii ne so sɛ,
And it came to pass, afore Isaiah was gone out into the middle court, that the word of Yhwh came to him, saying,
5 “Sane kɔ Hesekia a ɔyɛ me nkurɔfoɔ ɔkannifoɔ no nkyɛn, na kɔka kyerɛ no sɛ, ‘Sei na Awurade a ɔyɛ wʼagya Dawid Onyankopɔn seɛ: Mate wo mpaeɛbɔ no, ahunu wo nisuo no. Mɛsa wo yadeɛ, na nnansa akyi no, wobɛsɔre afiri mpa so, na woakɔ Awurade Asɔredan mu.
Turn again, and tell Hezekiah the captain of my people, Thus saith Yhwh, the God of David thy father, I have heard thy prayer, I have seen thy tears: behold, I will heal thee: on the third day thou shalt go up unto the house of Yhwh.
6 Mede mfeɛ dunum bɛka wo mfeɛ ho, na mɛgye wo ne saa kuropɔn yi afiri Asiriahene nsam. Me ɔsomfoɔ Dawid enti, mɛyɛ yei, de agye mʼanimuonyam.’”
And I will add unto thy days fifteen years; and I will deliver thee and this city out of the hand of the king of Assyria; and I will defend this city for mine own sake, and for my servant David’s sake.
7 Na Yesaia ka kyerɛɛ Hesekia asomfoɔ no sɛ, “Momfa borɔdɔma nyɛ ngo, na momfa nsrasra pɔmpɔ no so.” Wɔyɛɛ saa, na Hesekia nyaa ahoɔden.
And Isaiah said, Take a lump of figs. And they took and laid it on the boil, and he recovered.
8 Ansa na ɔrebɛnya ayaresa no, Hesekia bisaa Yesaia sɛ, “Nsɛnkyerɛnneɛ bɛn na Awurade bɛyɛ, de akyerɛ sɛ ɔbɛsa me yadeɛ, na matumi akɔ Awurade Asɔredan mu nnansa so?”
And Hezekiah said unto Isaiah, What shall be the sign that Yhwh will heal me, and that I shall go up into the house of Yhwh the third day?
9 Yesaia buaa sɛ, “Yei ne nsɛnkyerɛnneɛ a Awurade bɛyɛ akyerɛ wo sɛ ɔbɛdi ne bɔhyɛ so. Wopɛ sɛ sunsum a ɛda sunsumma susuniwa no kɔ nʼanim anammɔntuo edu anaa ɛsane nʼakyi anammɔntuo edu?”
And Isaiah said, This sign shalt thou have of Yhwh, that Yhwh will do the thing that he hath spoken: shall the shadow go forward ten degrees, or go back ten degrees?
10 Hesekia buaa sɛ, “Sunsum no kɔ nʼanim ɛberɛ biara. Na mmom, ma ɛnkɔ nʼakyi.”
And Hezekiah answered, It is a light thing for the shadow to go down ten degrees: nay, but let the shadow return backward ten degrees.
11 Enti, Yesaia bisaa Awurade sɛ ɔnyɛ yei, na ɔmaa sunsum no tete sane nʼakyi anammɔntuo edu wɔ Ahas sunsumma susuniwa no so.
And Isaiah the prophet cried unto Yhwh: and he brought the shadow ten degrees backward, by which it had gone down in the dial of Ahaz.
At that time Berodach–baladan, the son of Baladan, king of Babylon, sent letters and a present unto Hezekiah: for he had heard that Hezekiah had been sick.
13 Hesekia gyee Babilonia ananmusifoɔ yi, kyerɛɛ wɔn biribiara a ɔwɔ wɔ nʼadekoradan mu a ɛyɛ dwetɛ, sikakɔkɔɔ, nnuhwam ne ngo a ɛyɛ hwam. Afei nso, ɔde wɔn kɔɔ nʼadekorabea, sane kyerɛɛ wɔn nʼadekoradan mu biribiara. Biribiara nni nʼahemfie hɔ anaa nʼahemman mu hɔ a Hesekia ankyerɛ wɔn.
And Hezekiah hearkened unto them, and shewed them all the house of his precious things, the silver, and the gold, and the spices, and the precious ointment, and all the house of his armour, and all that was found in his treasures: there was nothing in his house, nor in all his dominion, that Hezekiah shewed them not.
14 Na odiyifoɔ Yesaia kɔɔ ɔhene Hesekia nkyɛn, kɔbisaa no sɛ, “Ɛdeɛn na saa nnipa no repɛ? Na wɔfiri he na wɔbaeɛ?” Hesekia buaa sɛ, “Wɔfiri Babilonia akyirikyiri asase so pɛɛ.”
Then came Isaiah the prophet unto king Hezekiah, and said unto him, What said these men? and from whence came they unto thee? And Hezekiah said, They are come from a far country, even from Babylon.
15 Yesaia bisaa no sɛ, “Ɛdeɛn na wɔhunuu wɔ wʼahemfie hɔ?” Hesekia buaa sɛ, “Wɔhunuu biribiara a ɛwɔ mʼahemfie ha. Biribiara nni mʼademudeɛ mu a mamfa ankyerɛ wɔn.”
And he said, What have they seen in thine house? And Hezekiah answered, All the things that are in mine house have they seen: there is nothing among my treasures that I have not shewed them.
16 Na Yesaia ka kyerɛɛ Hesekia sɛ, “Tie saa asɛm a ɛfiri Awurade nkyɛn yi:
And Isaiah said unto Hezekiah, Hear the word of Yhwh.
17 Ɛberɛ bi reba a biribiara a wowɔ no, agyapadeɛ a wʼagyanom akora no nyinaa, wɔbɛtwe akɔ Babilonia a ɛrenka hwee. Sɛdeɛ Awurade seɛ nie:
Behold, the days come, that all that is in thine house, and that which thy fathers have laid up in store unto this day, shall be carried into Babylon: nothing shall be left, saith Yhwh.
18 Wʼankasa wʼasefoɔ bi mpo, wɔbɛfa wɔn nnommum. Wɔbɛyɛ apiafoɔ a wɔbɛsom wɔ Babiloniahene ahemfie.”
And of thy sons that shall issue from thee, which thou shalt beget, shall they take away; and they shall be eunuchs in the palace of the king of Babylon.
19 Na Hesekia ka kyerɛɛ Yesaia sɛ, “Saa asɛm yi a ɛfiri Awurade nkyɛn a woaka akyerɛ me yi yɛ asɛm papa.” Nanso, na ɔhene no redwene sɛ, “Me berɛ so deɛ ɛsɛ sɛ yɛnya asomdwoeɛ ne banbɔ.”
Then said Hezekiah unto Isaiah, Good is the word of Yhwh which thou hast spoken. And he said, Is it not good, if peace and truth be in my days?
20 Nsɛm a ɛsisii Hesekia ahennie mu nkaeɛ no a ne tumidie ka ho, ne sɛdeɛ ɔyɛɛ subunu, twaa suka maa nsuo baa kuro no mu no nyinaa, wɔatwerɛ agu Yuda Ahemfo Abakɔsɛm Nwoma no mu.
And the rest of the acts of Hezekiah, and all his might, and how he made a pool, and a conduit, and brought water into the city, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?
21 Ɛberɛ a Hesekia wuiɛ no, ne babarima Manase na ɔdii nʼadeɛ sɛ ɔhene.
And Hezekiah slept with his fathers: and Manasseh his son reigned in his stead.
