1 Ɛberɛ a Yeroboam a ɔtɔ so mmienu di adeɛ wɔ Israel no, ne mfeɛ aduonu nson so na Amasia babarima Asaria hyɛɛ aseɛ dii adeɛ wɔ Yuda.
In the twenty-seventh year of Jeroboam king of Israel, Azariah son of Amaziah, king of Judah, has reigned;
2 Ɔbɛdii ɔhene no, na wadi mfeɛ dunsia. Na ɔdii adeɛ Yerusalem mfirinhyia aduonum mmienu. Na ne maame din de Yekolia a ɔfiri Yerusalem.
he was a son of sixteen years in his reigning, and he has reigned fifty-two years in Jerusalem, and the name of his mother [is] Jecholiah of Jerusalem,

and he does that which [is] right in the eyes of YHWH, according to all that his father Amaziah did,

only, the high places have not been removed—the people are still sacrificing and making incense in high places.
5 Awurade maa kwata yɛɛ ɔhene no, kɔsii da a ɔwuiɛ. Ne saa enti, na ɔno nko te efie bi mu. Yotam a na ɔyɛ ɔhene no babarima na ɔhwɛɛ ahemfie no so, na ɔdii nnipa a wɔwɔ asase no so so.
And YHWH strikes the king, and he is a leper to the day of his death, and he dwells in a separate house, and Jotham son of the king [is] over the house, judging the people of the land.
6 Na Asaria adedie ho nsɛm nkaeɛ ne dwuma a ɔdiiɛ nyinaa no, wɔatwerɛ agu Yuda Ahemfo Abakɔsɛm Nwoma no mu.

7 Asaria wuiɛ no, wɔsiee no ne mpanimfoɔ nkyɛn wɔ Dawid kuro mu. Na ne babarima Yotam na ɔdii nʼadeɛ sɛ ɔhene.
And Azariah lies with his fathers, and they bury him with his fathers in the city of David, and his son Jotham reigns in his stead.
8 Yudahene Asaria dii adeɛ ne mfeɛ aduasa nwɔtwe mu no na Yeroboam a ɔtɔ so mmienu babarima Sakaria nso dii adeɛ Israel wɔ Samaria. Ɔdii adeɛ abosome nsia.
In the thirty-eighth year of Azariah king of Judah, Zechariah son of Jeroboam has reigned over Israel in Samaria, six months,
9 Ɔyɛɛ bɔne wɔ Awurade ani so, sɛdeɛ nʼagyanom yɛeɛ no. Wamfiri ahonisom a Nebat babarima Yeroboam maa Israelfoɔ someeɛ no ho.
and he does evil in the eyes of YHWH as his fathers did; he has not turned aside from the sins of Jeroboam son of Nebat that he caused Israel to sin.
10 Na Yabes babarima Salum bɔɔ pɔ, de tiaa Sakaria, kumm no wɔ badwam, dii akonnwa no.
And Shallum son of Jabesh conspires against him, and strikes him before the people, and puts him to death, and reigns in his stead.
11 Sakaria dwuma a ɔdiiɛ nkaeɛ no, wɔatwerɛ agu Israel Ahemfo Abakɔsɛm Nwoma no mu.
And the rest of the matters of Zechariah, behold, they are written on the scroll of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel.

It [is] the word of YHWH that He spoke to Jehu, saying, “Sons of the fourth [generation] sit on the throne of Israel for you”; and it is so.

Shallum son of Jabesh has reigned in the thirty-ninth year of Uzziah king of Judah, and he reigns a month of days in Samaria;
14 Afei, Gadi babarima Menahem firii Tirsa kɔɔ Samaria. Ɔkɔto hyɛɛ Yabes babarima Salum so kumm no, na ɔtenaa akonnwa no so.
and Menahem son of Gadi goes up from Tirzah and comes to Samaria, and strikes Shallum son of Jabesh in Samaria, and puts him to death, and reigns in his stead.
15 Salum ahennie ho nsɛm nkaeɛ ne pɔ a ɔbɔeɛ no, wɔatwerɛ agu Israel Ahemfo Abakɔsɛm Nwoma no mu.
And the rest of the matters of Shallum and his conspiracy that he made, behold, they are written on the scroll of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel.
16 Saa ɛberɛ no mu, Menahem firii Tirsa kɔtoaa Tifsa ne obiara a ɔwɔ hɔ ne ne nkurotoɔ nyinaa, ɛfiri sɛ, ɛhɔfoɔ no ampene so sɛ wɔde kuro no bɛma. Ɔkunkumm kuro no mu nnipa nyinaa, paapae emu apemfoɔ nyinaa yafunu mu.

In the thirty-ninth year of Azariah king of Judah, Menahem son of Gadi has reigned over Israel in Samaria, ten years.
18 Nanso, Menahem yɛɛ bɔne wɔ Awurade ani so. Nʼahennie mu nyinaa, wannyae bɔne a ɛyɛ ahonisom no a na Nebat babarima Yeroboam adi Israelfoɔ anim de wɔn asom no.
And he does evil in the eyes of YHWH; he has not turned aside from the sins of Jeroboam son of Nebat that he caused Israel to sin, all his days.
19 Afei, Asiriahene Pul bɛdii asase no so. Na Menahem tuaa dwetɛ nkariboɔ tɔno aduasa nson no sɛdeɛ ɔbɛtaa nʼakyi ama nʼahennie no atim.
Pul king of Asshur has come against the land, and Menahem gives one thousand talents of silver to Pul, for his hand being with him to strengthen the kingdom in his hand.
20 Menahem nam apoobɔ so gyegyee Israel asikafoɔ no mu biara nkyɛn dwetɛ gram ahanum aduɔson sɛ akwabrantoɔ. Ɛno enti, Asiriahene ankɔto anhyɛ Israel so, na wantena asase no so nso.
And Menahem brings out the silver [from] Israel, [from] all the mighty men of wealth, to give to the king of Asshur, fifty shekels of silver for each one, and the king of Asshur turns back and has not stayed there in the land.
21 Na Menahem adedie ho nsɛm nkaeɛ ne dwuma a ɔdiiɛ nyinaa, wɔatwerɛ agu Israel Ahemfo Abakɔsɛm Nwoma no mu.

22 Ɛberɛ a Menahem wuiɛ no, ne babarima Pekahia na ɔdii nʼadeɛ sɛ ɔhene.
And Menahem lies with his fathers, and his son Pekahiah reigns in his stead.
23 Menahem babarima Pekahia hyɛɛ aseɛ dii Israelhene wɔ Yudahene Usia ahennie ne mfeɛ aduonum so. Ɔdii ɔhene wɔ Samaria mfeɛ mmienu.
In the fiftieth year of Azariah king of Judah, Pekahiah son of Menahem has reigned over Israel in Samaria, two years,
24 Nanso, Pekahia yɛɛ bɔne wɔ Awurade ani so. Wantwe ne ho amfiri ahonisom a Nebat babarima Yeroboam dii Israelfoɔ anim, ma wɔsomeeɛ no ho.
and he does evil in the eyes of YHWH; he has not turned aside from the sins of Jeroboam son of Nebat that he caused Israel to sin.
25 Na Remalia babarima Peka a na ɔyɛ Pekahia asraadɔm sahene no bɔɔ pɔ tiaa no. Ɔfaa mmarima aduonum firii Gilead, kaa ne ho, kɔkumm ɔhene no ne Argob ne Arie wɔ Samaria ahemfie abankɛsewa mu. Peka na afei ɔbɛdii ɔhene wɔ Israel.
And Pekah son of Remaliah, his captain, conspires against him, and strikes him in Samaria, in the high place of the house of the king with Argob and Arieh; and fifty men of the sons of the Gileadites [were] with him, and he puts him to death, and reigns in his stead.
26 Pekahia ahennie ho nsɛm nkaeɛ ne dwuma a ɔdiiɛ nyinaa, wɔatwerɛ agu Israel Ahemfo Abakɔsɛm Nwoma no mu.

27 Remalia babarima Peka bɛdii ɔhene Israel wɔ ɛberɛ a na Usia adi ɔhene wɔ Yuda mfeɛ aduonum mmienu. Ɔdii adeɛ Samaria mfirinhyia aduonu.
In the fifty-second year of Azariah king of Judah, Pekah son of Remaliah has reigned over Israel in Samaria, twenty years,
28 Nanso, Peka yɛɛ bɔne Awurade ani so. Wantwe ne ho amfiri ahonisom a Nebat babarima Yeroboam dii Israel anim, ma wɔsomeeɛ no ho.
and he does evil in the eyes of YHWH, he has not turned aside from the sins of Jeroboam son of Nebat that he caused Israel to sin.
29 Peka ahennie so no, Asiriahene Tiglat-Pileser kɔtuaa Israelfoɔ bio, faa nkuro Iyon ne Abel-Bet-Maaka ne Yanoa ne Kedes ne Hasor ne Gilead ne Galilea ne Naftali nsase nyinaa. Na ɔfaa nnipa no nnommum kɔɔ Asiria.
In the days of Pekah king of Israel, Tiglath-Pileser king of Asshur has come, and takes Ijon, and Abel-Beth-Maachah, and Janoah, and Kedesh, and Hazor, and Gilead, and Galilee, all the land of Naphtali, and removes them to Asshur.

And Hoshea son of Elah makes a conspiracy against Pekah son of Remaliah, and strikes him, and puts him to death, and reigns in his stead, in the twentieth year of Jotham son of Uzziah.
31 Peka adedie mu nsɛm nkaeɛ ne dwuma a ɔdiiɛ nyinaa, wɔatwerɛ agu Israel Ahemfo Abakɔsɛm Nwoma no mu.
And the rest of the matters of Pekah and all that he did, behold, they are written on the scroll of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel.
32 Usia babarima Yotam dii ɔhene wɔ Yuda ɛberɛ a na ɔhene Peka adi adeɛ wɔ Israel mfirinhyia mmienu.
In the second year of Pekah son of Remaliah, king of Israel, Jotham son of Uzziah, king of Judah, has reigned.
33 Ɔdii adeɛ no, na wadi mfirinhyia aduonu enum, na ɔdii Yerusalem so ɔhene mfeɛ dunsia. Na ne maame a ɔyɛ Sadok babaa no din de Yerusa.
He was a son of twenty-five years in his reigning, and he has reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem, and the name of his mother [is] Jerusha daughter of Zadok,
34 Yotam yɛɛ deɛ ɛsɔ Awurade ani, sɛdeɛ nʼagya Usia yɛeɛ no ara pɛ.
and he does that which [is] right in the eyes of YHWH; he has done according to all that his father Uzziah did.
35 Nanso, wansɛe abosonnan a na nnipa no bɔ afɔdeɛ hye nnuhwam wɔ hɔ no. Ɔno ne obi a ɔsane sii Awurade Asɔredan no atifi ɛpono.
Only, the high places have not been removed—the people are still sacrificing and making incense in high places; he has built the high gate of the house of YHWH.
36 Yotam ahennie ho nsɛm nkaeɛ ne deɛ ɔyɛeɛ nyinaa, wɔatwerɛ agu Yuda Ahemfo Abakɔsɛm Nwoma no mu.
And the rest of the matters of Jotham and all that he did, are they not written on the scroll of the Chronicles of the Kings of Judah?
37 Saa mmerɛ no mu, Awurade hyɛɛ aseɛ somaa Aramhene Resin ne Israelhene Peka, sɛ wɔnkɔto nhyɛ Yuda so.
In those days YHWH has begun to send Rezin king of Amram and Pekah son of Remaliah against Judah.
38 Ɛberɛ a Yotam wuiɛ no, wɔsiee no wɔ ne mpanimfoɔ nkyɛn wɔ Dawid kuro mu. Na ne babarima Ahas bɛdii nʼadeɛ sɛ ɔhene.
And Jotham lies with his fathers, and is buried with his fathers in the city of his father David, and his son Ahaz reigns in his stead.
