< 2 Korintofoɔ 10 >
1 Me, Paulo a sɛ mewɔ mo nkyɛn a meyɛ mmerɛ na sɛ menni mo nkyɛn nso a me koko yɛ duru ma mo no, me na metu saa fo yi. Mesrɛ me Kristo a ɔyɛ ɔyamyɛfoɔ no din mu sɛ:
Now I, the same Paul, who, when present among you, am timid, but when absent, am bold toward you, entreat you, by the mildness and gentleness of Christ;
2 Sɛ meba hɔ a, monnhyɛ me mma menkasakasa mo anim. Menim yie sɛ me bo bɛtumi ayɛ duru wɔ nnipa a wɔka sɛ ewiase adwene na yɛde di dwuma no no so.
I, indeed, beseech you, that I may not, when present, be bold with that confidence with which I think I shall be bold against some, who think of us as if we walked according to the flesh.
3 Ɛyɛ nokorɛ sɛ, yɛte ewiase, nanso yɛnnyina wiasesɛm so wɔ yɛn ko mu.
For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh,
4 Akodeɛ a yɛde ko no mfiri ewiase. Ɛyɛ Onyankopɔn akodeɛ a ano yɛ den a yɛbɛtumi de asɛe atamfoɔ mpampim a wɔabobɔ. Yɛsɛe akyinnyehunu.
(for the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty, through God, for the overthrowing of strongholds, )
5 Yɛsɛe akwansideɛ biara a ɛtia Onyankopɔn ho nimdeɛ no. Yɛto adwene biara nnareka ma wɔtie Kristo.
overthrowing reasonings and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and leading captive every thought to the obedience of the Christ,
6 Sɛ mo setie wie pɛyɛ na obi sane yɛ asoɔden ɛkwan biara so a, yɛbɛtwe nʼaso.
and being ready to take vengeance on all disobedience, when your obedience shall have been fully established.
7 Sɛdeɛ nneɛma te no ara na mohunu. Obi wɔ hɔ a ɔkari ne ho ka sɛ, ɔyɛ Kristo dea? Onii no nkari ne ho bio nhwɛ ɛfiri sɛ, yɛn nso yɛyɛ Kristo dea sɛdeɛ ɔno nso yɛ ne dea no.
Do you look on things according to the outward appearance? If any one trusts in himself, that he is Christ’s, let him again reason thus of himself: that as he is Christ’s, so also are we.
8 Ɛnyɛ me aniwu sɛ aba sɛ mede tumi a Awurade de ama me sɛ memfa nhwɛ mo na monnyini no bɛhoahoa me ho.
For though I should boast even, somewhat more abundantly of our authority, which the Lord has given us for edification, and not for your destruction, I would not be ashamed:
9 Mempɛ sɛ modwene sɛ mede me nkrataa a matwerɛ mo no rehunahuna mo.
that I may not seem as if I would terrify you by letters.
10 Obi bɛka sɛ, “Paulo nkrataa mu nsɛm no yɛ ya nanso sɛ ɔba yɛn nkyɛn nso a, ɔyɛ bɔkɔɔ na ne nsɛm nso nka hwee!”
For his letters, says one, are weighty and powerful, but his bodily presence is weak, and his style of speech contemptible.
11 Ɛsɛ sɛ saa onipa no te ne ho ase sɛ, nsonsonoeɛ biara nna nsɛm a ɛwɔ yɛn nkrataa a yɛtwerɛɛ ɛberɛ a yɛnni mo nkyɛn no, ne deɛ sɛ yɛwɔ mo nkyɛn a, yɛyɛ no mu.
Let such a one conclude thus―that such as we are in word, by letters, while absent, such also will we be in deed, when present.
12 Ɛyɛ nokorɛ, yɛrentumi mfa yɛn ho ntoto wɔn a wɔfa wɔn ho sɛ wɔn asetena korɔn no ho. Saa nnipa no yɛ nkwaseafoɔ! Wɔnam wɔn ho a wɔde wɔn ho toto wɔn ho wɔn ho no so bu wɔn ho atɛn.
For we do not presume to rank or compare ourselves with some of those who commend themselves: but they, measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves with themselves, have no understanding.
13 Yɛn deɛ, yɛn ahohoahoa no nntra beaeɛ bi. Yɛn ahohoahoa no nntra dwuma a Onyankopɔn atu yɛn sɛ yɛnyɛ a mo mu adwumayɛ ka ho no.
But we will not boast ourselves with respect to regions not measured to us; but according to the measure of the line which God, who measures, has appointed for us to reach even to you.
14 Esiane sɛ mowɔ saa tebea no mu enti, yɛbaa mo nkyɛn bɛkaa Asɛmpa a ɛfa Kristo ho no a yɛantra.
For we do not stretch ourselves too far, as if we did not come to you: for even as far as to you, have we already come in the gospel of the Christ,
15 Yei enti yɛmmfa adwuma a nkurɔfoɔ ayɛ nhoahoa yɛn ho te sɛ yɛn ara na yɛyɛeɛ. Deɛ yɛrepɛ ne sɛ mo gyidie ase bɛtim na ɛnam so ama yɛatumi ayɛ mo mu adwuma a yɛntra beaeɛ a Onyankopɔn ahyɛ no.
not boasting ourselves in the labors of others in regions not measured off to us, but having hope that, when your faith is increased, we shall be magnified among you abundantly, according to our line,
16 Na yɛnam so atumi aka Asɛmpa wɔ aman foforɔ so a yɛremfa adwuma a ɔfoforɔ ayɛ no nhoahoa yɛn ho.
so as to preach the gospel in regions beyond you, and not to boast in regions made ready under another man’s line.
17 Atwerɛsɛm no ka sɛ, “Obiara a ɔpɛ sɛ ɔhoahoa ne ho no nhoahoa no wɔ adeɛ a Awurade ayɛ mu.”
But let him that boasts, boast in the Lord:
18 Ɛfiri sɛ, ɛnyɛ ka a onipa bɛka ne ho asɛm pa no na ɛma Onyankopɔn gye no to mu, na mmom onipa a Onyankopɔn no ara bɛka ne ho asɛm pa no na ɔgye no to mu.
for he that commends himself is not approved; but he whom the Lord commends.
