1 Afei, ɛberɛ a afahyɛ no twaam no, Israelfoɔ a wɔkɔɔ bi no kɔɔ Yuda, Benyamin, Efraim ne Manase nkuro nyinaa so, kɔsɛee afadum kronkron no, twitwaa Asera afɔrebukyia no, yiyii abosonsomfoɔ asɔreeɛ ne afɔrebukyia no. Yei akyi, Israelfoɔ no sane kɔɔ wɔn nkuro so ne wɔn afie mu.
And when these things had been celebrated according to ritual, all of Israel who had been found in the cities of Judah went forth, and they broke apart the idols and cut down the sacred groves. They demolished the high places and destroyed the altars, not only out of all Judah and Benjamin, but also out of Ephraim as well as Manasseh, until they utterly destroyed them. And all the sons of Israel returned to their possessions and cities.
2 Afei, Hesekia kyekyɛɛ asɔfoɔ no ne Lewifoɔ no mu akuakuo, sɛ wɔmmɔ ɔhyeɛ afɔdeɛ ne asomdwoeɛ afɔdeɛ, sɛ wɔnsom, na wɔmfa aseda ne nkamfo mma Awurade wɔ Asɔredan no apono ano.
Then Hezekiah appointed the companies of the priests and Levites by their divisions, each man in his proper office, certainly as much for the priests as for the Levites, for the sake of holocausts and peace offerings, so that they might minister and confess and sing, at the gates of the camp of the Lord.
3 Ɔhene no ankasa maa ɔhyeɛ afɔrebɔdeɛ a wɔyɛ mmoa ma anɔpa ne anwummerɛ ɔhyeɛ afɔdeɛ ne nnawɔtwe homeda afahyɛ ne bosome Ɔbosome Foforɔ Afahyɛ no ne afirinhyia afɔdeɛ a aka no, sɛdeɛ Awurade mmara kyerɛ no.
Now the portion of the king, from his own substance, was such that they could offer a holocaust always, in morning and in evening, also on the Sabbaths, and the new moons, and the other solemnities, just as it was written in the law of Moses.
4 Ɛno akyi, ɔhwɛɛ sɛ nnipa a wɔwɔ Yerusalem no de deɛ wɔnya mu kyɛfa a mmara no ka no bɛma asɔfoɔ no ne Lewifoɔ no, sɛdeɛ ɛbɛma wɔde wɔn ho nyinaa ahyɛ Awurade mmara no mu.
And now he instructed the people living in Jerusalem that they were to give portions to the priests and Levites, so that they would be able to attend to the law of the Lord.
5 Nnipa no tiee no aso pa mu, na wɔfiri akoma pa mu de nnɔbaeɛ a ɛdi ɛkan a ɛyɛ atokoɔ, nsã foforɔ, ngo, ɛwoɔ ne wɔn mfudeɛ nyinaa baeɛ. Wɔde wɔn ahodeɛ biara mu ntotosoɔ dudu baeɛ.
And when this had reached the ears of the multitude, the sons of Israel brought an abundance of first-fruits of grain, wine, and oil, and also honey. And they offered a tenth part of all that the soil brings forth.
6 Nnipa a wɔtu firii Israel baa Yuda no ne Yudafoɔ no ankasa de wɔn anantwie ne wɔn nnwan so ntotosoɔ dudu ne nneɛma a wɔahyira so ama Awurade, wɔn Onyankopɔn no so ntotosoɔ dudu baeɛ. Wɔboaa ano ma ɛyɛɛ akuakuo akɛseakɛseɛ.
Then too, the sons of Israel and Judah, who were living in the cities of Judah, brought tithes of oxen and sheep, and tithes of the holy things that they had vowed to the Lord their God. And carrying all these things, they made many stacks.
7 Wɔde saa ntotosoɔ dudu a ɛdi ɛkan no baa bosome a ɛtɔ so mmiɛnsa no awieeɛ mu, na nneɛma no anoboa kɔɔ so kɔsii bosome a ɛtɔ so nson no ahyɛaseɛ mu.
In the third month, they began to lay out the foundations of the stacks. And in the seventh month, they finished them.
8 Ɛberɛ a Hesekia ne ne mpanimfoɔ bɛhunuu nneɛma dodoɔ no, wɔdaa Awurade ne ne nkurɔfoɔ Israel ase.
And when Hezekiah and his rulers had entered, they saw the stacks, and they blessed the Lord and the people of Israel.
9 Hesekia bisaa asɔfoɔ no ne Lewifoɔ no sɛ, “Ɛhe na yeinom nyinaa firi baeɛ?”
And Hezekiah questioned the priests and Levites, as to why the stacks were laid out in this way.
10 Na ɔsɔfopanin Asaria a ɔfiri Sadok abusua mu buaa sɛ, “Ɛfiri ɛberɛ a ɔmanfoɔ firii aseɛ sɛ wɔde akyɛdeɛ reba Awurade Asɔredan mu no, yɛanya bebree a yɛbɛdi ama ebi aka, ɛfiri sɛ, Awurade ahyira ne nkurɔfoɔ.”
Azariah, the high priest from the stock of Zadok, answered him, saying: “Since the first-fruits began to be offered in the house of the Lord, we have eaten and been satisfied, and much remains. For the Lord has blessed his people. Then what was left over is this great abundance, which you see.”
11 Hesekia yɛɛ nʼadwene sɛ ɔbɛnya adekoradan wɔ Awurade Asɔredan no mu, na wɔyɛeɛ.
And so Hezekiah instructed that they should prepare storage places for the house of the Lord. And when they had done so,
12 Na wɔdii nokorɛ de akyɛdeɛ no ne ntotosoɔ dudu no nyinaa baa Asɔredan no mu. Wɔde hyɛɛ Lewini Kenania nsa maa ne nua Simei yɛɛ ne ɔboafoɔ.
they faithfully brought in the first-fruits, as well as the tithes and all that they had vowed. Now the overseer of these things was Conaniah, a Levite; and his brother, Shimei, was second.
13 Sohwɛfoɔ a na wɔhyɛ wɔn ase no ne Yehiel, Asasia, Nahat, Asahel, Yerimot, Yosabad, Eliel, Ismakia, Mahat ne Benaia. Ɔhene Hesekia ne Asaria a ɔyɛ Onyankopɔn Asɔredan no mu sohwɛfoɔ panin no na wɔkyekyɛɛ saa dibea ahodoɔ yi.
And after him, there was Jehiel, and Azariah, and Nahath, and Asaahel, and Jerimoth, and also Jozabad, and Eliel, and Ismachiah, and Mahath, and Benaiah, who were overseers under the hands of Conaniah, and his brother, Shimei, by the authority of Hezekiah, the king, and Azariah, the high priest of the house of God, to whom all these things belonged.
14 Lewini Yimna babarima Kore a ɔyɛ Apueeɛ Ɛpono ano hwɛfoɔ no na wɔde hyɛɛ ne nsa sɛ, ɔnkyekyɛ Onyankopɔn ayamyɛ afɔrebɔdeɛ a ɛyɛ akyɛdeɛ ne nneɛma a wɔde ama Awurade no.
Yet truly, Kore, the son of Imnah, a Levite and the porter of the eastern gate, was the overseer of the things that were being offered freely to the Lord, and of the first-fruits, and of the things consecrated for the Holy of Holies.
15 Nʼaboafoɔ nokwafoɔ no ne Eden, Miniamin, Yesua, Semaia, Amaria ne Sekania. Na wɔkyekyɛɛ nneɛma no maa asɔfoɔ mmusua a wɔwɔ wɔn nkuro so sɛdeɛ wɔn nkyekyɛmu teɛ, na wɔkyɛɛ nneɛma no pɛpɛɛpɛ maa mmɔfra ne mpanin.
And under his charge were Eden, and Benjamin, Jeshua, and Shemaiah, and also Amariah, and Shecaniah, in the cities of the priests, so that they would distribute faithfully to their brothers, the small as well as the great, their portions
16 Na wɔkyɛɛ mmarimaa a wɔadi mfeɛ mmiɛnsa rekɔ nyinaa akyɛdeɛ no bi a wɔn din wɔ wɔn abusuadua nwoma mu, a nso da biara wɔkɔ Awurade Asɔredan mu, kɔyɛ wɔn nnwuma a wɔde ahyɛ wɔn ekuo no nsa.
(except for the males from three years old and upward) for all who were entering the temple of the Lord, and for whatever was needed for the ministry, throughout each day, as well as for the observances according to their divisions.
17 Na wɔkyɛɛ nneɛma no maa asɔfoɔ a wɔatwerɛ wɔn din wɔ wɔn abusuadua nwoma mu ne Lewifoɔ a wɔadi mfeɛ aduonu ne deɛ ɛboro saa, a wɔahyehyɛ wɔn din sɛdeɛ wɔn nnwuma ne wɔn nkyekyɛmu teɛ.
And so, for the priests, by their families, and for the Levites, from the twentieth year and upward, by their orders and companies,
18 Na wɔmaa mmusuafoɔ a wɔatwerɛ wɔn din wɔ abusuadua nwoma mu a mmadoma, ɔyerenom ne mmammarima ne mmammaa nso ka ho nnuane, sɛ wɔn kyɛfa. Ɛfiri sɛ na wɔadi nokorɛ adwira wɔn ho.
and for the entire multitude, as much for the wives as for their children of both sexes, provisions were offered faithfully from whatever had been sanctified.
19 Na asɔfoɔ, Aaron asefoɔ a na wɔtete nkuraa a atwa nkuro no ho ahyia no, wɔyiyii nnipa ma wɔkyɛɛ ɔbarima biara a ɔfra asɔfoɔ no mu ne Lewifoɔ a wɔatwerɛ wɔn din wɔ abusuadua mu no nneɛma no bi.
Then too, men were appointed of the sons of Aaron, throughout the fields and the suburbs of each city, who would distribute portions to all the males among the priests and Levites.
20 Saa ɛkwan yi so na Hesekia fa kyɛɛ nneɛma wɔ Yudaman no mu nyinaa, na ɔyɛɛ deɛ ɛfata na ɛsɔ Awurade, ne Onyankopɔn ani.
Therefore, Hezekiah did all these things (which we have said) in all of Judah. And he worked what is good and upright and true before the Lord his God,
21 Deɛ Hesekia yɛeɛ nyinaa de som wɔ Onyankopɔn Asɔredan no mu, ne mmɔden a ɔbɔɔ sɛ ɔbɛdi ne mmara ne nʼahyɛdeɛ so no, ɔde nʼakoma nyinaa hwehwɛɛ ne Onyankopɔn. Ne saa enti, ɛmaa ɔnyaa nkɔsoɔ bebree.
for the whole service of the ministry of the house of the Lord, in accord with the law and the ceremonies, desiring to seek his God with his whole heart. And he did so, and he prospered.
