< 2 Berɛsosɛm 30 >
1 Afei, ɔhene Hesekia de nkra kɔɔ Israel ne Yuda nyinaa, na ɔtwerɛɛ krataa too nsa de frɛɛ Efraim ne Manase. Ɔka kyerɛɛ obiara sɛ ɔmmra Awurade Asɔredan no mu wɔ Yerusalem, na wɔnni Awurade, Israel Onyankopɔn, Twam Afahyɛ no.
And Ezekias sent to all Israel and Juda, and wrote letters to Ephraim and Manasse, that they should come into the house of the Lord to Jerusalem, to keep the passover to the Lord God of Israel.
2 Ɔhene no, ne mpanimfoɔ ne ɔmanfoɔ a wɔwɔ Yerusalem nyinaa yɛɛ adwene sɛ wɔbɛdi Twam Afahyɛ no wɔ bosome a ɛtɔ so mmienu no mu.
For the king, and the princes, and all the congregation in Jerusalem, designed to keep the passover in the second month.
3 Na anka wɔdi Twam Afahyɛ no bosome ansa na bosome a ɛtɔ so mmienu ahyɛ aseɛ, nanso na asɔfoɔ no bebree ntumi nnwiraa wɔn ho, na ɔmanfoɔ no nso, na wɔmmoaa wɔn ho ano wɔ Yerusalem.
For they could not keep it at that time, because a sufficient number of priest had not purified themselves, and the people was not gathered to Jerusalem.
4 Adwene a wɔyɛeɛ sɛ wɔbɛdi Twam Afahyɛ no, na ɛyɛ ma ɔhene no ne ɔmanfoɔ no nyinaa.
And the proposal pleased the king and the congregation.
5 Enti, wɔbɔɔ no dawuro wɔ Israel nyinaa firi Beer-Seba a ɛwɔ anafoɔ fam kɔsi Dan a ɛwɔ atifi fam sɛ, obiara mmra Yerusalem mmɛdi Awurade, Israel Onyankopɔn Twam Afahyɛ no bi. Na nnipa dodoɔ nni Twam Afahyɛ no sɛdeɛ mmara no kyerɛ.
And they established a decree that a proclamation should go through all Israel, from Bersabee to Dan, that they should come and keep the passover to the Lord God of Israel at Jerusalem: for the multitude had not done it lately according to the scripture.
6 Ɔhene no hyɛ ma wɔsomaa abɔfoɔ kɔɔ Israel ne Yuda afanan nyinaa. Wɔmaa wɔn nkrataa a na emu nsɛm ka sɛ: “Ao Israel manfoɔ, monsane mmra Awurade, Abraham, Isak ne Israel Onyankopɔn nkyɛn, sɛdeɛ ɔbɛsane aba yɛn mu, nnipa kakra a yɛanya yɛn tiri adidi mu wɔ Asiria ahemfo nkonim a wɔdii yɛn so no.
And the posts went with the letters from the king and the princes to all Israel and Juda, according to the command of the king, saying, Children of Israel, return to the Lord God of Abraam, and Isaac, and Israel, and bring back them that have escaped [even] those that were left of the hand of the king of Assyria.
7 Monnyɛ sɛ mo agyanom ne mo abusuafoɔ a wɔgyaa Awurade, wɔn agyanom Onyankopɔn, a wɔyɛɛ aseredeɛ sɛdeɛ mo ankasa mohunu yi.
And be not as your fathers, and your brethren, who revolted from the Lord God of their fathers, and he gave them up to desolation, as ye see.
8 Monnyɛ asoɔden sɛdeɛ na wɔte no, na mmom, mommrɛ mo ho ase mma Awurade. Mommra nʼAsɔredan a wɔayi asi hɔ sɛ ade kronkron daa nyinaa. Monsom Awurade, mo Onyankopɔn, sɛdeɛ nʼabufuhyeɛ no bɛfiri mo so.
And now harden not your hearts, as your fathers [did]: give glory to the Lord God, and enter into his sanctuary, which he has sanctified for ever: and serve the Lord your God, and he shall turn away [his] fierce anger from you.
9 Na sɛ mosane ba Awurade nkyɛn a, mo abusuafoɔ ne mo mma bɛnya ahummɔborɔ wɔ wɔn a wɔfaa wɔn nnommum no nsam, na wɔbɛtumi asane aba asase yi so. Ɛfiri sɛ, Awurade, mo Onyankopɔn yɛ ɔdɔ ne ahummɔborɔ. Sɛ mosane ba ne nkyɛn a, ɔrenyi nʼani mfiri mo so.”
For when ye turn to the Lord, your brethren and your children shall be pitied before all that have carried them captives, and he will restore [you] to this land: for the Lord our God is merciful and pitiful, and will not turn away his face from you, if we return to him.
10 Abɔfoɔ no kyinii nkuro a ɛwɔ Efraim ne Manase kɔsi Sebulon so. Nanso, nnipa no mu bebree seree abɔfoɔ no, dii wɔn ho fɛw.
So the posts went through from city to city in mount Ephraim, and Manasse, and as far as Zabulon: and they as it were laughed them to scorn, and mocked them.
11 Nanso, wɔn a wɔfiri Aser, Manase ne Sebulon mu bi brɛɛ wɔn ho ase, kɔɔ Yerusalem.
But the men of Aser, and [some] of Manasses and of Zabulon, were ashamed, and came to Jerusalem and Juda.
12 Saa ɛberɛ korɔ no ara mu, na Onyankopɔn nsa wɔ nnipa a wɔwɔ Yuda so. Na ɛhyɛ wɔn sɛ wɔnyɛ baako, na wɔnyɛ ɔsetie mma Awurade asɛm a ɛfiri ɔhene ne ne mpanimfoɔ no nkyɛn.
And the hand of the Lord was [present] to give them one heart to come, to do according to the commands of the king and of the princes, by the word of the Lord.
13 Enti, ɛdɔm kɛseɛ hyiaa wɔ Yerusalem bosome a ɛtɔ so mmienu no mu, sɛ wɔrebɛdi Twam Afahyɛ no ne Apiti Afahyɛ no.
And a great multitude were gathered to Jerusalem to keep the feast of unleavened bread in the second month, a very great congregation.
14 Wɔhyɛɛ aseɛ bubuu abosonsomfoɔ afɔrebukyia no nyinaa firii Yerusalem. Wɔyiyii nnuhwam afɔrebukyia nyinaa kɔto guu Kidron bɔnhwa mu.
And they arose, and took away the altars that were in Jerusalem, and all on which they burnt incense to false [gods] they tore down and cast into the brook Kedron.
15 Ɛda a wɔahyɛ wɔ bosome a ɛtɔ so mmienu no duruiɛ no, ɔmanfoɔ no kunkumm wɔn Twam Afahyɛ nnwammaa. Na asɔfoɔ no ne Lewifoɔ no ani wuiɛ enti, wɔdwiraa wɔn ho, na wɔde ɔhyeɛ afɔdeɛ baa Awurade Asɔredan mu.
Then they killed the passover on the fourteenth day of the second month: and the priests and the Levites repented, and purified [themselves], and brought whole-burnt-offerings into the house of the Lord.
16 Obiara kɔgyinaa nʼafa wɔ Asɔredan no mu, sɛdeɛ Mose a ɔyɛ Onyankopɔn onipa no mmara no kyerɛ no. Lewifoɔ no de mogya afɔrebɔdeɛ no brɛɛ asɔfoɔ no, maa wɔn nso pete guu afɔrebukyia no so.
And they stood at their post, according to their ordinance, according to the commandment of Moses the man of God: and the priests received the blood from the hand of the Levites.
17 Esiane sɛ na ɔmanfoɔ no mu bebree nnwiraa wɔn ho enti, Lewifoɔ no na wɔkunkumm wɔn Twam Afahyɛ nnwammaa no maa wɔn, nam so tee ho maa Awurade.
For a great part of the congregation was not sanctified; and the Levites were [ready] to kill the passover for every one who could not sanctify himself to the Lord.
18 Na wɔn a wɔfiri Efraim, Manase, Isakar ne Sebulon no mu fa kɛseɛ no ara nnwiraa wɔn ho. Nanso, ɔhene Hesekia bɔɔ mpaeɛ maa wɔn, na wɔmaa wɔn ɛkwan maa wɔdii Twam Afahyɛ aduane no bi a na anka ɛtia Onyankopɔn mmara. Hesekia bɔɔ mpaeɛ sɛ, “Awurade a ɔyɛ mmɔborɔhunufoɔ no mfa nnipa a
For the greatest part of the people of Ephraim, and Manasse, and Issachar, and Zabulon, had not purified [themselves], but ate the passover contrary to the scripture. On this account also Ezekias prayed concerning them, saying,
19 wɔasi wɔn adwene pi sɛ wɔbɛdi Awurade, wɔn agyanom Onyankopɔn akyi no bɔne nkyɛ wɔn, mpo, sɛ wɔnnwiraa wɔn ho yie mmaa afahyɛ no a.”
The good Lord be merciful with regard to every heart that sincerely seeks the Lord God of their fathers, and [is] not [purified] according to the purification of the sanctuary.
20 Na Awurade tiee Hesekia na ɔsaa ɔmanfoɔ no yadeɛ.
And the Lord hearkened to Ezekias, and healed the people.
21 Enti, ɔmanfoɔ a wɔwɔ Yerusalem no de nnanson dii Apiti Afahyɛ no anigyeɛ so. Ɛda biara, Lewifoɔ ne asɔfoɔ no too nnwom maa Awurade de nnwontodeɛ a ano yɛ den gyegyee ho.
And the children of Israel who were present in Jerusalem kept the feast of unleavened bread seven days with great joy; and they continued to sing hymns to the Lord daily, and the priests and the Levites [played] on instruments to the Lord.
22 Hesekia hyɛɛ Lewifoɔ no nkuran wɔ ɛkwan pa a wɔfa so som Awurade no ho. Na afahyɛ no kɔɔ so nnanson. Wɔbɔɔ asomdwoeɛ afɔdeɛ, na ɔmanfoɔ kaa wɔn bɔne kyerɛɛ Awurade, wɔn agyanom Onyankopɔn.
And Ezekias encouraged all the Levites, and those that had good understanding of the Lord: and they completely kept the feast of unleavened bread seven days, offering peace-offerings, and confessing to the Lord God of their fathers.
23 Badwa no nyinaa yɛɛ wɔn adwene sɛ, wɔbɛtoa so adi afahyɛ no nnanson bio enti wɔde anigyeɛ toaa so nnawɔtwe.
And the congregation purposed together to keep other seven days: and they kept seven days with gladness.
24 Ɔhene Hesekia maa ɔmanfoɔ no anantwinini apem ne nnwan mpem nson sɛ wɔmfa mmɔ afɔdeɛ, na mpanimfoɔ no nso maa anantwinini apem ne nnwan ɔpedu. Ɛberɛ korɔ no ara mu, asɔfoɔ no bebree dwiraa wɔn ho.
For Ezekias set apart for Juda, [even] for the congregation, a thousand calves and seven thousand sheep; and the princes set apart for the people a thousand calves and ten thousand sheep: and the holy things of the priests abundantly.
25 Yuda badwa nyinaa a asɔfoɔ, Lewifoɔ ne wɔn a wɔfiri Israel asase so nyinaa, ananafoɔ a wɔbɛdii afahyɛ no ne wɔn a na wɔte Yuda nyinaa ani gyeeɛ.
And all the congregation, the priests and the Levites, rejoiced, and all the congregation of Juda, and they that were present of Jerusalem, and the strangers that came from the land of Israel, and the dwellers in Juda.
26 Anigyeɛ kɛseɛ baa kuropɔn no mu, ɛfiri sɛ, na Yerusalem nhunuu afahyɛ a ɛte sei bi da, ɛfiri Salomo ɔhene Dawid babarima berɛ so.
And there was great joy in Jerusalem: from the days of Solomon the son of David king of Israel there was not such a feast in Jerusalem.
27 Na asɔfoɔ no ne Lewifoɔ sɔre hyiraa ɔmanfoɔ no, na Onyankopɔn tiee wɔn firi ne soro atenaeɛ kronkronbea hɔ.
Then the priests the Levites rose up and blessed the people: and their voice was heard, and their prayer came into his holy dwelling-place, [even] into heaven.
