1 Ɛsɛ sɛ wɔn a wɔyɛ asomfoɔ no nyinaa de anidie ma wɔn wuranom sɛdeɛ ɛbɛyɛ a wɔn mu bi nkasa ntia Onyankopɔn ne yɛn nkyerɛkyerɛ.
Let as many bondmen as are under yoke count their own masters worthy of all honour, that the name of God and the teaching be not blasphemed.
2 Ɛnsɛ sɛ asomfoɔ bu wɔn wuranom a wɔyɛ agyidifoɔ no abomfiaa sɛ wɔyɛ anuanom enti. Mmom, ɛsɛ sɛ wɔsom wɔn yie, ɛfiri sɛ, wɔn som no ho wɔ mfasoɔ ma agyedifoɔ ne adɔfoɔ bebree.
And they that have believing masters, let them not despise [them] because they are brethren; but let them the rather serve them with subjection, because they are faithful and beloved, who profit by the good and ready service [rendered]. These things teach and exhort.
3 Ɛsɛ sɛ mokyerɛkyerɛ na moka yeinom nyinaa. Obiara a ɔbɛma nkyerɛkyerɛ foforɔ na ɔnka nokorɛ a ɛfa yɛn Awurade Yesu Kristo ne yɛn nyamesom ho no
If any one teach differently, and do not accede to sound words, those of our Lord Jesus Christ, and the teaching which [is] according to piety,
4 yɛ ɔhantanni a ɔnnim hwee. Ɔyɛ obi a ɔfiri adwemmɔne mu gye akyinnyeɛ na ɔka nsɛm a ɛnam so de anibereɛ, akasakasa, kasafi, nnipa ho adwemmɔne
he is puffed up, knowing nothing, but sick about questions and disputes of words, out of which arise envy, strife, injurious words, evil suspicions,
5 ne mansotwe a ɛfiri adwene a emu nnɔ mu na nokorɛ nni mu ba. Wɔdwene sɛ nyamesom yɛ kwan bi a wɔnam so pɛ sika.
constant quarrellings of men corrupted in mind and destitute of the truth, holding gain to be [the end of] piety.
6 Onyamesom pa a abodwoɔ wɔ muo yɛ adenya kɛseɛ.
But piety with contentment is great gain.
7 Yɛamfa hwee amma ewiase. Saa ara nso na yɛremfa hwee nkɔ.
For we have brought nothing into the world: [it is] [manifest] that neither can we carry anything out.
8 Ɛno enti, sɛ yɛwɔ aduane ne ntoma a, ɛno nko dɔɔso ma yɛn.
But having sustenance and covering, we will be content with these.
9 Wɔn a wɔpɛ sɛ wɔnya wɔn ho no kɔtɔ sɔhwɛ mu na ɛdane ɔhaw ma wɔn ma ɛtwe wɔn kɔ ɔsɛeɛ mu.
But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and many unwise and hurtful lusts, which plunge men into destruction and ruin.
10 Na sikanibereɛ yɛ bɔne nyinaa nhini. Nnipa bi de sikanibereɛ asi wɔn ani so dendeenden nam so ama wɔapa wɔn gyidie ama awerɛhoɔ ahyɛ wɔn akoma ma.
For the love of money is [the] root of every evil; which some having aspired after, have wandered from the faith, and pierced themselves with many sorrows.
11 Enti, wo a woyɛ Onyankopɔn onipa, twe wo ho firi yeinom nyinaa ho. Di tenenee, Onyamesom pa, gyidie, ɔdɔ, boasetɔ ne ɔdwoɔ akyi.
But thou, O man of God, flee these things, and pursue righteousness, piety, faith, love, endurance, meekness of spirit.
12 Bɔ gyidie mu mmirikatuo no ho mmɔden na pere nya nkwa a ɛnni awieeɛ no ma wo ho, ɛfiri sɛ, saa abrabɔ yi enti na ɛberɛ a wodaa wo gyidie adi wɔ adansefoɔ bebree anim no, Onyankopɔn frɛɛ wo. (aiōnios )
Strive earnestly [in] the good conflict of faith. Lay hold of eternal life, to which thou hast been called, and hast confessed the good confession before many witnesses. (aiōnios )
13 Meka no wɔ Onyankopɔn a ɔma nneɛma nyinaa nkwa no ne Kristo Yesu a ɔkaa nokorɛ wɔ Pontio Pilato anim, hyɛ wo sɛ,
I enjoin thee before God who preserves all things in life, and Christ Jesus who witnessed before Pontius Pilate the good confession,
14 tie mmara a mahyɛ ama wo no na di so pɛpɛɛpɛ kɔsi da a Yesu Kristo bɛba.
that thou keep the commandment spotless, irreproachable, until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ;
15 Onyankopɔn a wɔahyira no na ɔno nko ara di Ɔhene, Ahene mu Ɔhene ne Awura mu Awurade no bɛma no aba ɛberɛ a ɛsɛ mu.
which in its own time the blessed and only Ruler shall shew, the King of those that reign, and Lord of those that exercise lordship;
16 Ɔno nko na ɔwɔ hɔ daa, ɔte hann a obi ntumi mmɛn ho mu. Obiara nhunuu no da na obiara nso rentumi nhunu no da. Ɔno na anidie ne tumi a ɛnni awieeɛ wɔ no. Amen. (aiōnios )
who only has immortality, dwelling in unapproachable light; whom no man has seen, nor is able to see; to whom [be] honour and eternal might. Amen. (aiōnios )
17 Bɔ ewiase yi mu ahonyafoɔ kɔkɔ sɛ, wɔmmfa wɔn ahonya nhoahoa wɔn ho, na wɔmmfa wɔn anidasoɔ nso nhyɛ adehunu te sɛ ahonya mu, na mmom, wɔmfa wɔn ho nto Onyankopɔn a ɛnam nʼadɔeɛ so, ɔmaa yɛn asetena mu nneɛma pa nyinaa no so. (aiōn )
Enjoin on those rich in the present age not to be high-minded, nor to trust on the uncertainty of riches; but in the God who affords us all things richly for [our] enjoyment; (aiōn )
18 Hyɛ wɔn sɛ, wɔnyɛ papa na wɔnyɛ adefoɔ wɔ nnwuma pa yɛ mu. Wɔnyɛ ayamyɛ na wɔne afoforɔ nkyɛ.
to do good, to be rich in good works, to be liberal in distributing, disposed to communicate [of their substance],
19 Sɛ wɔyɛ saa a, wɔbɛto fapem pa ama wɔn daakye. Na wɔnam so anya asetena a ɛyɛ asetena pa.
laying by for themselves a good foundation for the future, that they may lay hold of [what is] really life.
20 Timoteo, hwɛ deɛ wɔde ahyɛ wo nsa no so yie. Twe wo ho firi ahuhusɛm ne akyinnyehunu a wɔnam atorɔ so frɛ no “Nimdeɛ” no ho.
O Timotheus, keep the entrusted deposit, avoiding profane, vain babblings, and oppositions of false-named knowledge,
21 Nnipa bi gye tom sɛ wɔwɔ saa nimdeɛ no nam so ahwere gyidie kwan no. Onyankopɔn adom nka mo.
of which some having made profession, have missed the faith. Grace [be] with thee.
