< 1 Timoteo 5 >

1 Nka akɔkoraa anim, na mmom, hyɛ no nkuran, sɛdeɛ wobɛyɛ ama wʼagya. Sɛdeɛ wobɛyɛ wo nuabarima no saa ara na fa yɛ mmabunu,
Rebuke not an elder, but entreat [him] as a father; [and] the younger men as brethren;
2 yɛ mmaa mpanimfoɔ sɛ wo maamenom, na mmabaawa nso, fa wɔn sɛ wo nnuammaa wɔ kronnyɛ mu.
The elder women as mothers; the younger as sisters, with all purity.
3 Ma wʼani nku mmaa akunafoɔ a wɔnni ahwɛfoɔ ho.
Honor widows that are widows indeed.
4 Sɛ okunafoɔ bi wɔ mma anaa mmanana a, deɛ ɛdi ɛkan no, ɛsɛ sɛ wɔfa nyamesom pa so de som wɔn abusua de tua wɔn awofoɔ ne nananom ka, ɛfiri sɛ, sɛ wɔyɛ saa a na ɛsɔ Onyankopɔn ani.
But if any widow hath children or nephews, let them learn first to show piety at home, and to requite their parents: for that is good and acceptable before God.
5 Ɔbaa a ɔyɛ okunafoɔ ampa ara no a ɔnni obi a ɔhwɛ no no de nʼanidasoɔ nyinaa ahyɛ Onyankopɔn mu, enti anadwo ne awia, ɔkɔ so bɔ mpaeɛ srɛ ne mmoa.
Now she that is a widow indeed, and desolate, trusteth in God, and continueth in supplications and prayers night and day.
6 Nanso, sɛ okunafoɔ bi de ne ho ma ewiase a, na ɔyɛ teaseawuo.
But she that liveth in pleasure, is dead while she liveth.
7 Ka saa mmara yi kyerɛ wɔn na obi annya wo ho mfomsoɔ.
And these things give in charge, that they may be blameless.
8 Na sɛ obi nhwɛ ne fiefoɔ, ne titire no, ɔno ara nʼabusuafoɔ a, na wabu ne gyidie so. Sɛ ɛba saa a, ɔyɛ onipa bɔne sene deɛ ɔnnye nni no.
But if any provideth not for his own, and especially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.
9 Mfa okunafoɔ biara a ɔnni mmoroo mfeɛ aduosia din nka akunafoɔ din ho. Asɛm a ɛka ho ne sɛ, ɛsɛ sɛ ɔyɛ obi a wadi ne kunu nokorɛ,
Let not a widow be taken into the number under sixty years old, having been the wife of one man.
Well reported of for good works; if she hath brought up children, if she hath lodged strangers, if she hath washed the saints' feet, if she hath relieved the afflicted, if she hath diligently followed every good work.
11 Mfa akunafoɔ nkumaa no din nka wɔn ho. Ɛfiri sɛ, sɛ ɛba sɛ wɔpɛ sɛ wɔsane ware a, wɔte wɔn ho firi Kristo ho
But the younger widows refuse: for when they have begun to grow wanton against Christ, they will marry;
12 na ɛma wɔdi fɔ sɛ wɔabu wɔn bɔhyɛ a ɛdi ɛkan so.
Having damnation, because they have cast off their first faith.
13 Ɛno akyi, wɔsɛe wɔn berɛ kɔ afieafie mu na deɛ ɛnyɛ koraa ne sɛ, wɔdi nsekuro yɛ pɛrepɛre, ka nsɛm a anka ɛnsɛ sɛ wɔka.
And at the same time they learn [to be] idle, wandering about from house to house, and not only idle, but tattlers also, and busy-bodies, speaking things which they ought not.
14 Enti me pɛ ne sɛ, akunafoɔ nkumaa no bɛware, awo mma na wɔahwɛ wɔn afie sɛdeɛ ɛbɛyɛ a atamfoɔ nnya wɔn ho ɛkwan nka nsɛm ntia wɔn.
I will therefore that the younger women marry, bear children, guide the house, give no occasion to the adversary to speak reproachfully.
15 Akunafoɔ bi de wɔn ho ama ɔbonsam dada.
For some are already turned aside after Satan.
16 Sɛ ɔbaa ogyidini bi wɔ akunafoɔ wɔ nʼabusua mu a, ɛsɛ sɛ ɔhwɛ wɔn yie na wɔamfa adesoa bi ammɛto asafo no so na asafo no atumi ahwɛ akunafoɔ a aka wɔn nko no.
If any man or woman that believeth hath widows, let them relieve them, and let not the church be charged; that it may relieve them that are widows indeed.
17 Mpanimfoɔ a wɔhwɛ asafo no so yie no, ɛsɛ sɛ wɔdwene wɔn ho na wɔde anidie mmɔho ma wɔn; ne titire no wɔn a wɔka asɛm no na wɔsane kyerɛkyerɛ nso.
Let the elders that rule well, be counted worthy of double honor, especially they who labor in the word and doctrine.
18 Ɛfiri sɛ, Atwerɛsɛm no ka sɛ, “Nkyekyere nantwie a ɔsi aburoo no ano!” Bio, “Odwumayɛfoɔ akatua fata no!”
For the scripture saith, Thou shalt not muzzle the ox that treadeth out the corn. And, The laborer [is] worthy of his reward.
19 Ntie asɛmmɔne a obi ka to ɔpanin bi so no, gye sɛ adansefoɔ baanu anaa baasa de saa asɛm no bɛto wʼanim.
Against an elder receive not an accusation, but before two or three witnesses.
20 Wɔn a wɔyɛ bɔne nyinaa no, ka wɔn anim badwam na abɔ afoforɔ hu.
Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear.
21 Megyina Onyankopɔn ne Kristo Yesu ne abɔfoɔ kronkron anim ka sɛ, di saa mmara a mahyɛ wo yi nyinaa so a nhwɛanimu biara nni mu.
I charge [thee] before God and the Lord Jesus Christ, and the elect angels, that thou observe these things without preferring one before another, doing nothing by partiality.
22 Sɛ ɛhia sɛ wode wo nsa gu obi so wɔ Awurade dwumadie no mu a, mpepere ho. Twe wo ho firi bɔne a ɔfoforɔ yɛ ho na ma wo ho nte.
Impose hands hastily on no man, neither be partaker of other men's sins: keep thyself pure.
23 Nnom nsuo nko ara, na mmom, wo yafunu ne wo yadeɛ a wotaa yare enti, ɛyɛ a nom bobesa kakraa bi.
Drink no longer water, but use a little wine for thy stomach's sake, and thy frequent infirmities.
24 Nnipa bi bɔne a wɔyɛ no da adi pefee na saa bɔne no di wɔn anim de wɔn kɔ atemmuo mu, nanso afoforɔ bi wɔ hɔ a wɔn bɔne da adi akyire yi.
Some men's sins are open beforehand, going before to judgment: and some [men] they follow after.
25 Saa ara nso na nneyɛeɛ payɛ no da adi pefee. Na deɛ ɛnna adi pefee no mpo ntumi nhinta.
Likewise also the good works [of some] are manifest beforehand; and they that are otherwise cannot be hid.
