1 Tesalonikafoɔ 1

1 Nwoma yi firi Paulo, Silas ne Timoteo nkyɛn, Yɛde kɔma Tesalonika asafo a wɔyɛ Agya Onyankopɔn ne Awurade Yesu Kristo mma no: Adom ne asomdwoeɛ nka mo.

Paul and Silvanus and Timothy to the church of the Thessalonians in God the Father, and in the Lord Jesus Christ. Grace be to you, and peace from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.

2 Daa yɛda Onyankopɔn ase ma mo, na yɛkae mo wɔ yɛn mpaeɛbɔ mu nso.

We give thanks to God always for you all, making mention of you in our prayers.

3 Ɛfiri sɛ, yɛkae mo gyidie a mode di dwuma, mo dɔ a ɛma motumi de nsi yɛ adwuma ne mo anidasoɔ denden a mowɔ wɔ yɛn Awurade Yesu Kristo mu no wɔ yɛn Onyankopɔn ne Agya no anim.

Incessantly remembering your work of faith, and labor of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, before our God and Father:

4 Anuanom, yɛnim sɛ Onyankopɔn dɔ mo enti na wayi mo sɛ ɔno ankasa ne deɛ no.

knowing, beloved brethren, your election by God.

5 Sɛ yɛbɛkaa Asɛmpa no kyerɛɛ mo a, ɛnyɛ nsɛm bi kwa, na mmom, yɛgyina tumi ne Honhom Kronkron ne mu nokorɛ mu gyidie so. Monim nnipa ko a na yɛyɛ ɛne sɛdeɛ yɛboaa mo.

For our gospel came not to you in word only, but also in power, and in the holy Ghost, and in much certainty; as ye know what sort of persons we were among you for your sakes.

6 Mosuasuaa yɛn ne Awurade; na ɛwom sɛ mohunuu amane deɛ, nanso mode anigyeɛ a ɛfiri Honhom Kronkron no mu gyee asɛm no.

And ye became imitators of us and of the Lord, having received the word tho' in much affliction, yet with joy of the holy Ghost.

7 Ɛnam so maa mobɛyɛɛ nhwɛsoɔ maa agyidifoɔ a wɔwɔ Makedonia ne Hela no nyinaa.

So that ye became examples to all the believers in Macedonia and Achaia.

8 Nsɛm a moka faa Awurade ho no ankɔ Makedonia ne Hela nko, na mmom, gyidie a mowɔ wɔ Onyankopɔn mu no ho asɛm aduru baabiara. Asɛm biara nni hɔ a ɛsɛ sɛ yɛka bio.

For the word of the Lord sounded forth from you, not only in Macedonia and Achaia; but also in every place your faith towards God is spread abroad, so that we have no need to say any thing of it.

9 Obiara kamfo sɛdeɛ mogyee yɛn ne sɛdeɛ motwee mo ho firii abosom ho kɔsom nokorɛ Onyankopɔn a ɔte ase daa no,

For they themselves declare concerning us what kind of entrance we had among you, and how ye turned to God from idols, to serve the living and true God;

10 na motwɛn ne Ba a ɔfiri ɔsoro no; Yesu a ɔnyanee no firii awufoɔ mu a ɔgye yɛn firi Onyankopɔn abufuo a ɛreba no mu no.

and to wait for his Son from heaven, whom He raised from the dead, even Jesus who delivereth us from the wrath to come.
