< 1 Petro 5 >
1 Me a meyɛ ɔpanin no, metu asafo no mu mpanimfoɔ fo sɛ, meyɛ Kristo amanehunu no ho adanseɛ enti nʼanimuonyam a ɛbɛba no bɛka me. Metu mo fo sɛ,
Now to you who are presbyters I make this appeal; for I am myself a presbyter, and was a witness of the sufferings of Christ, and also a partaker of the glory about to be revealed.
2 monyɛ nnwan a Onyankopɔn de wɔn ahyɛ mo nsa no nnwanhwɛfoɔ na monhwɛ wɔn yie sɛdeɛ Onyankopɔn pɛ sɛ moyɛ no. Monyɛ adwuma a monhwehwɛ ho akatua biara, na mmom, pɛ ara na mopɛ sɛ moyɛ.
Be shepherds to your flock of God; take charge of them willingly, and not through compulsion; not for filthy lucre, but with a willing mind;
3 Monnhyɛ wɔn a wɔde wɔn ahyɛ mo nsa no so, na mmom monyɛ nhwɛsoɔ pa mma nnwan no.
not by way of lording it over your heritage, but by becoming examples to the flock.
4 Na sɛ Odwanhwɛfoɔ panin no ba a, wɔbɛma mo animuonyam ahenkyɛ a ɛho nsɛe da.
Then, when the Chief Shepherd shall appear, you too will receive the fadeless wreath of glory.
You younger men must submit to the presbyters; and all of you must put on the garment of humility and serve one another, for God resists the haughty, But gives grace to the humble.
6 Enti mommrɛ mo ho ase nhyɛ Onyankopɔn nsa a tumi wɔ mu no ase sɛdeɛ ɛbɛyɛ a ɔbɛma mo so wɔ ɛberɛ a ɛsɛ mu.
So humble yourselves under God’s mighty hand, so that he may exalt you in due time.
7 Momfa mo dadwene ne mo haw nyinaa nto ne so ɛfiri sɛ, ɔdwene mo ho.
Cast all your care upon him, for he ever cares for you.
8 Mo ani nna hɔ; monwɛn ɛfiri sɛ, mo ɔtamfoɔ bonsam no nam sɛ gyata a ɔbobɔm hwehwɛ deɛ ɔbɛnya no amene.
Be temperate, be vigilant; because your enemy, the devil, is prowling about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.
9 Momfa gyidie nnyina pintinn nsi no ɛkwan ɛfiri sɛ, monim sɛ mo nuanom agyidifoɔ a wɔwɔ ewiase afanan nyinaa rehunu saa amane korɔ no ara bi.
Resist him, standing firm in the faith, knowing well that the same afflictions are being accomplished in your brothers that are in the world.
10 Na adom nyinaa Onyankopɔn a wafrɛ mo aba ne daa animuonyam no mu Kristo mu no, ɔno ara na sɛ monya hunu amane kakra ansa a, ɔbɛsiesie mo pɛ; ɔbɛma mo ase atim; ɔbɛhyɛ mo den; ɔbɛma mo anya nnyinasoɔ. (aiōnios )
But the God of all grace, who has called us by Christ Jesus to share his eternal glory, will, after you have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you. (aiōnios )
11 Ɔno na tumi wɔ no daa daa. Amen. (aiōn )
His is the dominion forever and ever; Amen. (aiōn )
12 Me nua ogyidini Silwano na ɔboaa me maa metwerɛɛ saa krataa tiawa yi. Mepɛ sɛ mehyɛ mo nkuran na medi adanseɛ sɛ, yei yɛ Onyankopɔn adom kann. Monnyina mu dennen.
By Sylvanus, a faithful brother of yours, as I suppose, I have written you briefly, to comfort you, and to testify that this is the true grace of God. In this stand fast.
13 Asafo a Onyankopɔn ayi wɔ Babilonia no ne me ba Marko kyea mo.
Your sister church in Babylon, elect with you, sends you salutations, and so does Marcus, my son.
14 Momfa ɔdɔ atuuyɛ wɔ Kristo mu nkyeakyea mo ho mo ho. Asomdwoeɛ nka mo a mowɔ Kristo mu no nyinaa.
Salute one another with a kiss of love. Peace be to you all who are in Christ Jesus.
