< 1 Yohane 2 >

1 Me mma, meretwerɛ yei abrɛ mo na moanyɛ bɔne; na sɛ obi yɛ bɔne a, yɛwɔ Yesu Kristo ɔteneneeni no a ɔsrɛ wɔ Agya no hɔ ma yɛn.
My little children, I am writing these things to you so that you won’t sin. If anyone sins, we have an Intercessor with the Father, the righteous Jesus Christ.
2 Na Kristo no ankasa ne yɛn bɔne ho mpata na ɛnyɛ yɛn bɔne nko, na nnipa nyinaa bɔne.
He Himself is the atoning sacrifice for our sins; and not for ours only, but also for those of the whole world.
3 Sɛ yɛdi Onyankopɔn mmara so a, na ɛkyerɛ sɛ yɛnim no.
This is how we know that we have come to know Him: if we keep His commandments.
4 Sɛ obi ka sɛ, “Menim no”, nanso ɔnni ne mmara so a, saa onipa no yɛ ɔtorofoɔ a nokorɛ nni ne mu.
The one who says, “I have come to know Him,” and doesn’t keep His commandments is a liar, and the truth isn’t in him.
5 Na obiara a ɔtie nʼAsɛm no yɛ obi a nokorɛm, ne dɔ a ɔde dɔ Onyankopɔn no wie pɛ yɛ. Yei na ɛma yɛgye to mu sɛ yɛte ne mu.
But whoever keeps His word has the sincere love of God truly perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him:
6 Na sɛ yɛte ne mu deɛ a, na ɛsɛ sɛ yɛdi Yesu Kristo anammɔn akyi.
whoever claims to live in Jesus ought to walk in the same way He walked.
7 Anuanom, saa mmara a meretwerɛ abrɛ mo yi nyɛ asɛm foforɔ. Ɛyɛ mmara dada a moate firi ahyɛaseɛ pɛɛ no. Mmara dada no yɛ adeɛ a moate ho asɛm dada.
Brothers and sisters, I’m not writing a new commandment to you, but an old commandment which you have had from the beginning. The old commandment is the word which you have heard.
8 Nanso, mmara a meretwerɛ abrɛ mo yi yɛ foforɔ na emu nokorɛ no da adi wɔ Kristo ne mo mu. Esum no retwam na hann papa no gu so rehyerɛn.
Yet, I am writing a new commandment to you, which is true in Him and in you, because the darkness is passing away, and the true light is already shining.
9 Obiara a ɔka sɛ ɔwɔ hann no mu, nanso ɔtane ne nua no wɔ sum mu bɛsi saa dɔnhwereɛ yi mu.
Whoever claims to be in the light but hates a brother or sister, is still in darkness.
10 Obiara a ɔdɔ ne nua no te hann mu, enti biribiara nni ne mu a ɛbɛma obi foforɔ ayɛ bɔne.
Whoever sincerely loves his brothers and sisters lives in the light, and there is no cause for stumbling in him.
11 Nanso, obiara a ɔtane ne nua no te sum mu. Ɔnam mu a ɔnnim faako a ɔrekɔ, ɛfiri sɛ, esum no afira nʼani.
But whoever hates a brother or sister is in darkness and walks in darkness, and doesn’t know where he is going, because the darkness has blinded his eyes.
12 Me mma, meretwerɛ mo, ɛfiri sɛ, ɛsiane Kristo din enti, wɔde mo bɔne akyɛ mo.
I write to you, little children, because your sins are forgiven for His name’s sake.
13 Agyanom, meretwerɛ mo, ɛfiri sɛ, monim deɛ ɔte ase firi ahyɛaseɛ no. Mmabunu, meretwerɛ mo, ɛfiri sɛ, moadi ɔbonsam so.
I write to you, fathers, because you have known Him who is from the beginning. I write to you, young men, because you have overcome the evil one. I write to you, little children, because you have known the Father.
14 Mma, meretwerɛ mo, ɛfiri sɛ, monim Agya no. Agyanom, meretwerɛ mo, ɛfiri sɛ, monim deɛ ɔte ase firi ahyɛaseɛ no. Mmabunu, meretwerɛ mo, ɛfiri sɛ, mowɔ ahoɔden, na Onyankopɔn asɛm no te mo mu, na moadi ɔbonsam so.
I have written to you, fathers, because you have known Him who is from the beginning. I have written to you, young men, because you are strong, and the word of God lives in you, and you have overcome the wicked one.
15 Monnnɔ ewiase anaasɛ biribiara a ɛyɛ ewiase dea. Sɛ modɔ ewiase a, na ɛkyerɛ sɛ monnnɔ Agya a ɔwɔ mo mu no.
Don’t sincerely love the world or the things in the world. If anyone sincerely loves the world, the sincere love of the Father isn’t in him.
16 Biribiara a ɛyɛ ewiase dea, honam akɔnnɔ, deɛ nnipa hunu na wɔn kɔn dɔ, biribiara a ɛwɔ ewiase a nnipa hoahoa wɔn ho wɔ ho no, emu biara mfiri Agya no. Ne nyinaa firi ewiase.
For everything that is in the world - the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life - isn’t the Father’s, but is the world’s.
17 Ewiase ne mu akɔnnɔdeɛ retwam, nanso deɛ ɔyɛ Onyankopɔn apɛdeɛ no tena hɔ daa. (aiōn g165)
The world and its lusts are passing away, but whoever does the will of God stays forever. (aiōn g165)
18 Me mma, awieeɛ no abɛn. Wɔka kyerɛɛ mo sɛ Kristo Tamfoɔ no bɛba, nanso seesei, Kristo atamfoɔ bebree ada wɔn ho adi, enti yɛahunu sɛ ampa awieeɛ no abɛn.
Little children, we are in the end times. As you have heard the antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come. By this we know that we are in the end times.
19 Nokorɛm, na saa nnipa yi nka yɛn ho na ɛno enti na wɔgyaa yɛn hɔ no. Na sɛ wɔka yɛn ho a, anka wɔne yɛn tenaeɛ. Nanso, wɔgyaa yɛn hɔ, sɛdeɛ wobɛhunu no pefee sɛ wɔnka yɛn ho.
They went out from us, but they didn’t belong to us. For if they had belonged to us, they would have continued with us. Instead, they went out so that it might be revealed that none of them belonged to us.
20 Mo deɛ, Kristo ahwie Honhom Kronkron no agu mo so, enti mo nyinaa nim nokorɛ no.
But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and you all know the truth.
21 Ɛnyɛ sɛ monnim nokorɛ no enti na matwerɛ saa krataa yi, na mmom, monim na monim nso sɛ, atorɔ biara mfiri nokorɛ mu mma.
I write to you, not because you don’t know the truth, but because you do know it, and because you know that no lie belongs to the truth.
22 Afei, hwan ne ɔtorofoɔ? Ɛyɛ obi a ɔka sɛ Yesu nyɛ Kristo no. Yei ne Kristo ɔtamfoɔ. Ɔpo Agya no ne Ɔba no nyinaa.
Who is a liar? Whoever denies that Jesus is the Christ. Whoever denies the Father and the Son is an antichrist.
23 Na deɛ ɔpo Ɔba no po Agya no; deɛ ɔgye Ɔba no gye Agya no nso.
Whoever denies the Son doesn’t have the Father either. Whoever acknowledges the Son also has the Father.
24 Mommɔ mmɔden mfa asɛm a motee ahyɛaseɛ no nsie mo akoma mu. Sɛ mode asɛm a motee ahyɛaseɛ no sie a, mo ne Ɔba no ne Agya no bɛnya ayɔnkofa.
Therefore, let that which you heard from the beginning live in you. If what you heard from the beginning lives in you, you also will live in the Son and in the Father.
25 Na yei na Kristo no ankasa ahyɛ yɛn ho bɔ no, nkwa a ɛnni awieeɛ no. (aiōnios g166)
This is the promise that He has promised to us - eternal life. (aiōnios g166)
26 Metwerɛ mo fa wɔn a wɔpɛ sɛ wɔdaadaa mo ho.
I have written these things to you about those who are trying to deceive you.
27 Na mo deɛ, Kristo ahwie ne Honhom Kronkron no agu mo so. Mmerɛ dodoɔ a ne Honhom no te mo mu no, ɛho nhia sɛ obi foforɔ bɛkyerɛkyerɛ mo. Ɛfiri sɛ, ne Honhom no kyerɛkyerɛ mo biribiara. Na deɛ ɔkyerɛ no nso yɛ nokorɛ; ɛnyɛ atorɔ. Montie Kristo nkyerɛkyerɛ no na montena ne mu.
As for you, the anointing that you received from Him lives in you, and you have no need for anyone to teach you. Yet as His anointing teaches you about all things, and is true and not a lie; just as it has taught you, you live in Him.
28 Me mma, montena ne mu sɛdeɛ ɛbɛyɛ a, sɛ ɔba a, yɛbɛnya akokoɔduru na yɛmfa aniwuo nkɔ hinta da a ɔbɛba no.
Now, little children, live in Him, so that when He appears, we may have confidence and not shrink away from Him in shame at His coming.
29 Monim sɛ Kristo yɛ ɔteneneeni. Na ɛsɛ sɛ mohunu sɛ obiara a ɔyɛ ade tenenee no yɛ Onyankopɔn ba.
If you know that He is righteous, then know that everyone who also practices righteousness is born of Him.
