And the sons of Reuben the firstborn of Israel, for, he, was the firstborn, but because he defiled the couch of his father, his birthright was given to the sons of Joseph son of Israel, —and he is not to be enrolled in the place of firstborn,

for, Judah, prevailed over his brethren, so that, even the prince, is from him, —although, the birthright, pertaineth to Joseph;

the sons of Reuben the firstborn of Israel, Hanoch and Pallu, Hezron and Carmi.

The sons of Joel, Shemaiah his son, Gog his son, Shimei his son;
Micah his son, Reaiah his son, Baal his son;

and Bela, the son of Azaz, the son of Shema, the son of Joel, —he, dwelt in Aroer, even as far as Nebo, and Baal-meon;
9 Esiane sɛ na wɔwɔ anantwie bebree wɔ Gilead asase so no enti, wɔdidi kɔɔ apueeɛ fam wɔ anweatam a ɛtrɛ kɔ Asubɔnten Eufrate no ho.
and, eastward, dwelt he as far as the entering in of the desert, from the river Euphrates, —because, their cattle, were multiplied in the land of Gilead;
10 Ɔhene Saulo pɛn so, Rubenfoɔ dii Hagarfoɔ so nkonim wɔ ɔko mu. Enti, wɔtu kɔɔ Hagarfoɔ atenaeɛ a ɛwɔ Gilead apueeɛ fam hɔ no.
and, in the days of Saul, they made war with the Hagrites, who fell by their hand, —so they dwelt in their tents, over all the face of the land east of Gilead.
11 Basan asase so no, na Gad asefoɔ na wɔtete asase a ɛdi Rubenfoɔ deɛ no so. Wɔtrɛ kɔɔ apueeɛ fam kɔsii Saleka.
And, the sons of Gad, over against them, dwelt, in the land of Bashan, as far as Salecah:
12 Na Yoɛl na ɔtua wɔn ano wɔ Basan asase so. Na Safam, Yanai ne Safat yɛ nʼaboafoɔ.
Joel the chief, and Shapham, the second, —and Janai and Shaphat, in Bashan;
13 Na wɔn abusuafoɔ a wɔyɛ ntuanofoɔ ma mmusua afoforɔ nson din ne: Mikael, Mesulam, Seba, Yorai, Yakan, Sia ne Eber.
and their brethren of their ancestral house, Michael and Meshullam and Sheba and Jorai and Jacan and Zia and Eber, seven.
14 Yeinom nyinaa yɛ Huri babarima Abihail a ɔyɛ Yaroa babarima, Gilead babarima, Mikael babarima, Yesisai babarima Yahdo babarima, Bus babarima.
These, were the sons of Abihail, son of Huri, son of Jaroah, son of Gilead, son of Michael, son of Jehishai, son of Jahdo, son of Buz,
15 Abdiel babarima Ahi, Guni babarima no na na ɔyɛ wɔn mmusua no ntuanoni.
Ahi son of Abdiel, son of Guni, chief of their ancestral house;
16 Gadfoɔ no tenaa Gilead asase a ɛwɔ Basan ne ne nkuraaseɛ ne Saron tata no nyinaa so.
and they dwelt in Gilead—in Bashan, and in her villages, —and in all the pasture-lands of Sharon, up to their outgoings.
17 Yudahene Yotam ne Israelhene Yeroboam ɛberɛ so na wɔtwerɛɛ yeinom nyinaa guu abusuadua nkrataa mu.
All of them, were genealogically registered in the days of Jotham king of Judah, —and in the days of Jeroboam king of Israel.
18 Na akofoɔ akɛseɛ a wɔwɔ Ruben, Gad mmusua ne Manase abusua fa mu no ano si ɔpeduanan ɛnan ahanson ne aduosia. Wɔkurakura akokyɛm, akofena ne agyan, na wɔn nyinaa akwadare wɔ akodie mu.
the sons of Reuben and Gad, and half tribe of Manasseh, of the sons of valour, men bearing shield and sword and bending the bow, and instructed in war, were forty-four thousand and seven hundred and sixty, ready to go forth in the host.
19 Wɔko tiaa Hagarfoɔ, Yeturfoɔ, Nafisfoɔ ne Nodabfoɔ.
So they made war with the Hagrites, —and Jetur and Naphish, and Nodab;
20 Wɔsu frɛɛ Onyankopɔn wɔ ɔko no mu, na ɔtiee wɔn mpaeɛbɔ, ɛfiri sɛ, wɔde wɔn ho too no so. Enti, wɔdii Hagarfoɔ no ne wɔn dɔm nyinaa so nkonim.
and were helped against them, and the Hagrites and all that were with them were delivered into their hand, —for, unto God, made they outcry, in the war, and he suffered himself to be entreated by them, because they put their trust in him;
21 Asadeɛ a wɔfa firii Hagarfoɔ no nkyɛn no yɛ nyoma ɔpeduonum, nnwan ɔpehanu aduonum, mfunumu mpenu ne nneduafoɔ ɔpeha.
and they captured their cattle—their camels, fifty thousand, and, flocks, two hundred and fifty thousand, and, asses, two thousand, —and, persons of men, a hundred thousand;
22 Wɔkunkumm Hagarfoɔ no bebree ɔko no mu, ɛfiri sɛ, na Onyankopɔn reko tia wɔn. Enti, wɔtenaa wɔn asase so, kɔsii sɛ wɔtwaa wɔn asuo.
for, many slain, fell, for, of God, was the war, —and they dwelt in their stead, until the captivity.
23 Manase abusua fa no trɛɛ wɔ asase no so firi Basan kɔsii Baal-Hermon, Senir ne bepɔ Hermon ho. Na wɔdɔɔso yie.
And, the sons of the half tribe of Manasseh, dwelt in the land, —from Bashan, as far as to Baal-hermon and Senir and Mount Hermon, they, were multiplied.
24 Yeinom ne wɔn mmusua no ntuanofoɔ: Efer, Yisi, Eliel, Asriel, Yeremia, Hodawia ne Yahdiel. Na wɔn mu biara agye edin sɛ ɔkofoɔ kɛseɛ ne ɔkandifoɔ.
And, these, were the heads of their ancestral house, —Epher and Ishi and Eliel and Azriel and Jeremiah and Hodaviah and Jahdiel, men who were heroes of valour, men of renown, chiefs to their ancestral house.
25 Nanso, na wɔnni nokorɛ, na wɔbuu wɔn agyanom ne Onyankopɔn apam no so. Wɔsomm aman a Onyankopɔn sɛee wɔn no anyame.
But they dealt unfaithfully with the God of their fathers, —and went unchastely after the gods of the peoples of the land, whom God destroyed from before them;

so the God of Israel stirred up the spirit of Pul king of Assyria, and the spirit of Tilgath-pilneser king of Assyria, and he took them away captive, even the Reubenites and the Gadites and the half tribe of Manasseh, —and brought them in unto Halah, and Habor, and Hara, and to the river of Gozan, unto this day.
