And it canto to pass, after this, that David smote the Philistines, and subdued them, —and took Gath and her villages, out of the hand of the Philistines.
2 Bio, Dawid dii Moab asase no so nkonim, ma Moabfoɔ no bɛyɛɛ Dawid nkoa a na wɔtua apeatoɔ ma no.
And he smote Moab, —and the Moabites became servants to David, bearers of a present.
3 Afei, Dawid tɔree ɔhene Hadadeser a ɔfiri Soba akodɔm ase, de kɔsii Hamat wɔ ɛberɛ a Hadadeser bɔɔ nsra wɔ Asubɔnten Eufrate ho sɛ anka ɔrehyɛ ne tumi mu den no.
And David smote Hadarezer king of Zobah, towards Hamath, —as he went to establish his hold of the river Euphrates.
4 Dawid ko gyee nteaseɛnam apem, nteaseɛnamkafoɔ mpem nson ne nammɔntwa asraafoɔ ɔpeduonu. Afei, ɔtwitwaa nteaseɛnam apɔnkɔ no nyinaa nantin ntini, ma ɛkaa ɔha pɛ.
And David captured from him a thousand chariots, and seven thousand horsemen, and twenty thousand footmen, —and David destroyed all the chariots, saving that he reserved from them a hundred chariots.
5 Ɛberɛ a Aramfoɔ firi Damasko baa sɛ wɔrebɛboa Hadadeser no, Dawid kunkumm wɔn mu ɔpeduonu mmienu.
And, when the Syrians of Damascus came to help Hadarezer king of Zobah, David smote of the Syrians, twenty-two thousand men.
6 Afei, ɔde asraafodɔm guu Damasko, Aram ahenkuro mu, ma Aramfoɔ no bɛyɛɛ Dawid nkoa a na wɔbrɛ no apeatoɔ. Baabiara a Dawid bɛkɔ no, Awurade ma no di nkonim.
And David put [garrisons] in Syria of Damascus, and so it was that the Syrians became, David’s, servants, bearers of a present, —so Yahweh gave victory to David, whithersoever he went.
7 Dawid faa sikakɔkɔɔ nkuruwa a na ɛyɛ Hadadeser mpanimfoɔ dea no de ne nyinaa kɔɔ Yerusalem.
And David took the shields of gold, that were upon the servants of Hadarezer, —and brought them to Jerusalem;
8 Ɔde kɔbere mfrafraeɛ bebree a ɛfiri Hadadeser nkuro Tibhat ne Kun kaa ho baeɛ. Akyire yi, Salomo nanee kɔbere mfrafraeɛ no de yɛɛ asɔredan no ho adwuma. Ɔde yɛɛ kɔbere mfrafraeɛ Po na ɔde bi yɛɛ afadum ne kɔbere nkuku ne nkaka a wɔde di dwuma wɔ asɔredan no mu.
also, from Tibhath and from Cun, cities of Hadarezer, David took very much bronze, —therewith, did Solomon make the sea of bronze, and the pillars, and the vessels of bronze.
9 Ɛberɛ a Hamathene Toi tee sɛ Dawid atɔre Sobahene Hadadeser akodɔm ase no,
And, when Tou, king of Hamath, heard that David had smitten all the force of Hadarezer king of Zobah,
10 ɔsomaa ne babarima Hadoram ma ɔkɔɔ Dawid nkyɛn kɔmaa no amo wɔ ne nkonimdie no ho. Na Hadadeser ne Tou atane wɔn ho akyɛre, a na akokoakoko aba wɔn ntam. Yoram kɔkyɛɛ Dawid sikakɔkɔɔ, dwetɛ ne kɔbere mfrafraeɛ bebree.
he sent Hadoram his son unto King David, to ask after his welfare, and to bless him, because he had made war against Hadarezer and had smitten him, for, a man making wars against Tou, had been Hadarezer, —and [he had with him] all manner of vessels of gold and silver and bronze;
11 Ɔhene Dawid hyiraa saa akyɛdeɛ yi nyinaa so maa Awurade, a dwetɛ ne sikakɔkɔɔ a ɔfa firii aman foforɔ a ɔkaa wɔn hyɛeɛ no so no nyinaa ka ho. Saa aman no ne Edom, Moab, Amon, Filistia ne Amalek.
them also, did King David hallow unto Yahweh, with the silver and the gold, that he bare away from all the nations, —from Edom, and from Moab, and from the sons of Ammon, and from the Philistines, and from Amalek.
12 Seruia babarima Abisai kunkumm Edomfoɔ mpem dunwɔtwe wɔ Nkyene Bɔnhwa no mu.
Moreover, Abishai, son of Zeruiah, smote Edom, in the Valley of Salt, —eighteen thousand;
13 Ɔde asraafoɔ duaduaa Edom nyinaa, ma Edomfoɔ nyinaa bɛyɛɛ Dawid nkoa. Yei yɛ sɛdeɛ Awurade ma Dawid dii nkonim wɔ baabiara a ɔkɔeɛ no nhwɛsoɔ.
and set, in Edom, garrisons, and all Edom became servants unto David, —and Yahweh gave David the victory, whithersoever he went.
14 Dawid dii ɔhene wɔ Israel nyinaa so, na ɔne obiara tenaa yie.
So David reigned over all Israel, —and he was executing justice and righteousness for all his people;
15 Seruia babarima Yoab na na ɔyɛ ɔsafohene. Ahilud babarima Yehosafat na na ɔyɛ adehyeɛ abakɔsɛmtwerɛni.
and, Joab, son of Zeruiah, was over the army, —and, Jehoshaphat, son of Elihud, was recorder;
16 Ahitub babarima Sadok ne Abiatar babarima Abimelek na na wɔyɛ asɔfoɔ. Sawsa na na ɔyɛ asɛnniiɛ twerɛfoɔ.
and, Zadok, son of Ahitub, and Abimelech son of Abiathar, were priests, —and, Shavsha, was scribe;
17 Yehoiada babarima Benaia na na ɔyɛ ɔhene awɛmfoɔ no so panin. Dawid mmammarima somm sɛ ɔhene aboafoɔ mpanimfoɔ.
and, Benaiah, son of Jehoiada, was over the Cherethites, and the Pelethites, —and, the sons of David, were first, in attendance on the king.
