< Nnwom Mu Dwom 8 >
1 Sɛ anka woyɛɛ me nuabarima a wunum me na nufu ano, na mihuu wo wɔ abɔnten so a, anka mefew wʼano, a obiara rentumi mmu me animtiaa.
Oh that thou wert as my brother, that sucked the breasts of my mother! When I should find thee without, I would kiss thee; yea, and none would despise me.
2 Anka medi wʼanim na mede wo aba me na fi, ɔno a wakyerɛkyerɛ me. Anka mɛma wo bobesa a wɔde pɛprɛ afra mu, me ntunkum mu nsu dɔkɔdɔkɔ no bi.
I would lead thee, and bring thee into my mother's house, that thou mightest instruct me; I would cause thee to drink of spiced wine, of the juice of my pomegranate.
3 Ne nsa benkum da mʼatiko na ne nsa nifa aka me afam ne bo.
His left hand should be under my head, and his right hand should embrace me.
4 Yerusalem mmabea, mehyɛ mo sɛ, morennyan na morenhwanyan ɔdɔ mu kosi bere a ɛsɛ mu.
'I adjure you, O daughters of Jerusalem: Why should ye awaken, or stir up love, until it please?'
5 Hena na ofi sare so reba a otweri ne dɔfo koko mu yi? Ababaa: Mekanyan wo wɔ aprɛ dua no ase; ɛhɔ na wo na nyinsɛnee wo, ɛhɔ na nea ɔkoo awo no woo wo.
Who is this that cometh up from the wilderness, leaning upon her beloved? Under the apple-tree I awakened thee; there thy mother was in travail with thee; there was she in travail and brought thee forth.
6 Fa me to wo koma so sɛ nsɔwanode, sɛ nsɔwanode wɔ wʼabasa so, efisɛ ɔdɔ ano yɛ den sɛ owu, ne ninkutwe tim hɔ sɛ ɔda. Ɛhyehye sɛ ogyatannaa, sɛ ogyatannaa a ano yɛ den pa ara. (Sheol )
Set me as a seal upon thy heart, as a seal upon thine arm; for love is strong as death, jealousy is cruel as the grave; the flashes thereof are flashes of fire, a very flame of the LORD. (Sheol )
7 Nsu dodow rentumi nnum ɔdɔ; nsubɔnten rentumi nhohoro nkɔ. Sɛ obi de ne fi ahonya nyinaa bɛsesa ɔdɔ a anka wɔremmu no ade a ɛsom bo.
Many waters cannot quench love, neither can the floods drown it; if a man would give all the substance of his house for love, he would utterly be contemned.
8 Yɛwɔ nuabea akumaa bi a, ne nufu mmobɔɔ ɛ. Dɛn na yɛbɛyɛ ama yɛn nuabea yi wɔ da a wobebisa no ase?
We have a little sister, and she hath no breasts; what shall we do for our sister in the day when she shall be spoken for?
9 Sɛ ɔyɛ ɔfasu a, yebesi dwetɛ abantenten abɔ ne ho ban. Sɛ ɔyɛ ɔpon a, yɛde sida besiw ne pon ano kwan.
If she be a wall, we will build upon her a turret of silver; and if she be a door, we will enclose her with boards of cedar.
10 Meyɛ ɔfasu, na me nufu te sɛ abantenten. Enti nʼani so no mayɛ sɛ obi a ɔde nea ɛsɔ ani reba.
I am a wall, and my breasts like the towers thereof; then was I in his eyes as one that found peace.
11 Na Salomo wɔ bobeturo wɔ Baal-Hamon; ɔde ne bobeturo no maa apaafo. Na ɛsɛ sɛ wɔn mu biara tua no nnwetɛbona apem.
Solomon had a vineyard at Baal-hamon; he gave over the vineyard unto keepers; every one for the fruit thereof brought in a thousand pieces of silver.
12 Nanso me bobeturo yi yɛ me de. Me de, meremfa mma; Salomo de ne de gye nnwetɛbona apem, na otua nʼapaafo nnwetɛbona ahannu ma wɔhwɛ ne nnuaba no so.
My vineyard, which is mine, is before me; thou, O Solomon, shalt have the thousand, and those that keep the fruit thereof two hundred.
13 Wo a wote turo no mu ne nnamfonom a wɔka wo ho, ma mente wo nne.
Thou that dwellest in the gardens, the companions hearken for thy voice: 'Cause me to hear it.'
14 Bra ma yɛnkɔ, me dɔfo, na yɛ wo ho sɛ ɔdabɔ ba anaasɛ ɔforote ba a ɔwɔ mmepɔw a nnuhuam ahyɛ so ma so.
Make haste, my beloved, and be thou like to a gazelle or to a young hart upon the mountains of spices.
