1 Saa nhoma yi fi me, Paulo, Yesu Kristo somfo a wɔayi me sɛ ɔsɛnkafo a wɔasoma me sɛ menkɔka Onyankopɔn asɛmpa no nkyɛn.
PAUL, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated unto the gospel of God,
2 Wɔnam Onyankopɔn adiyifo so dii kan hyɛɛ asɛmpa no ho nkɔm wɔ Apam Dedaw no mu.
(Which he had promised afore by his prophets in the holy scriptures, )
3 Saa bɔhyɛ yi fa ne Ba Yesu Kristo a ɔyɛ yɛn Awurade a ɔba ma wɔwoo no sɛ akokoaa too Ɔhene Dawid abusua mu no ho.
Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh;
4 Na Honhom Kronkron da no adi pefee sɛ Yesu Kristo yɛ Onyankopɔn Ba, efisɛ wonyan no fii awufo mu.
And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead:
5 Ɛnam Kristo so nti na Onyankopɔn ma meyɛɛ ɔsomafo maa Kristo, sɛnea nnipa nyinaa nam gyidi so bɛyɛ osetie ama Onyankopɔn.
By whom we have received grace and apostleship, for obedience to the faith among all nations, for his name:
6 Mo a mowɔ Roma a Onyankopɔn afrɛ mo sɛ mommɛyɛ Kristo akyidifo no nso moka ho bi.
Among whom are ye also the called of Jesus Christ:
7 Ɛno nti, merekyerɛw mo a mowɔ Roma nyinaa a Onyankopɔn dɔ mo na wafrɛ mo sɛ mommɛyɛ nʼakyidifo no: Ɔdom ne asomdwoe a efi yɛn Agya Onyankopɔn ne Awurade Yesu Kristo nka mo.
To all that be in Rome, beloved of God, called to be saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.
8 Ansa na mɛka biribiara no, menam Yesu Kristo so da me Nyankopɔn ase ma mo nyinaa, efisɛ mo gyidi a mowɔ no adu wiase mmaa nyinaa.
First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for you all, that your faith is spoken of throughout the whole world.
9 Onyankopɔn a mede me koma nyinaa som no, na menam asɛmpa a menam ne Ba so ka no nim sɛ nea meka no yɛ nokware. Onyankopɔn nim sɛ mekae mo daa.
For God is my witness, whom I serve with my spirit in the gospel of his Son, that without ceasing I make mention of you always in my prayers;
10 Bere biara a mebɔ mpae no, mesrɛ Awurade sɛ ɔmmoa mma mintumi mmɛsra mo mprempren ara.
Making request, if by any means now at length I might have a prosperous journey by the will of God to come unto you.
11 Efisɛ mepere hwehwɛ sɛ mehu mo na maboa mo ama moanya Onyankopɔn honhom mu nhyira na ahyɛ mo den.
For I long to see you, that I may impart unto you some spiritual gift, to the end ye may be established;
12 Nea mekyerɛ ne sɛ me ne mo nyinaa benya honhom mu ahoɔden bere koro mu a yɛde bɛhyɛ yɛn ho yɛn ho gyidi mu den.
That is, that I may be comforted together with you by the mutual faith both of you and me.
13 Me nuanom, monkae sɛ bere biara a mɛyɛ mʼadwene sɛ merebɛsra mo no, na biribi abɛbɔ mu. Mepɛ sɛ mesakra nnipa adwene wɔ mo mu sɛnea mayɛ wɔ amanamanmufo mu no.
Now I would not have you ignorant, brethren, that oftentimes I purposed to come unto you, (but was let hitherto, ) that I might have some fruit among you also, even as among other Gentiles.
14 Mo ne obiara, wɔn a wɔn ani atew ne wɔn a wɔn ani ntewee, wɔn a wɔasua ade ne wɔn a wonsuaa ade nyinaa ho asɛm yɛ mʼasodi.
I am debtor both to the Greeks, and to the Barbarians; both to the wise, and to the unwise.
15 Ɛno nti mede mʼahoɔden a mewɔ nyinaa aboa me ho sɛ mɛba mo nkyɛn wɔ Roma abɛka Onyankopɔn asɛmpa no kyerɛ mo.
So, as much as in me is, I am ready to preach the gospel to you that are at Rome also.
16 Mʼani nwu Asɛmpa no ho, efisɛ ɛyɛ Onyankopɔn tumi a ɔnam so gye wɔn a wɔwɔ gyidi nyinaa nkwa; Yudafo kan na amanamanmufo no nso.
For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
17 Asɛmpa no kyerɛ yɛn sɛnea Onyankopɔn ma yɛyɛ atreneefo, na ɛnam gyidi so na wama yɛayɛ saa. Sɛnea Kyerɛwsɛm no ka no, ɔtreneeni fi gyidi mu benya nkwa.
For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.
18 Onyankopɔn da nʼabufuw adi fi ɔsoro de tia nnebɔneyɛfo nyinaa ne nnipa a wɔde nokware no hintaw afoforo no.
For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;
19 Efisɛ Onyankopɔn ada ne nokwasɛm no adi wɔ wɔn mu, na ɔde ne ho nimdeɛ ahyɛ wɔn koma mu.
Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.
20 Efi bere a Onyankopɔn bɔɔ wiase no, ne tumi a ɛwɔ hɔ daa no ne ne nyamesu no ada adi. Nnipa nam Onyankopɔn abɔde so tumi hu saa nneɛma yi, enti wonni anoyi biara. (aïdios g126)
For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: (aïdios g126)
21 Wonim Onyankopɔn, nanso wɔmfa ne nidi a ɛfata no no mma no na wɔnna no ase nso. Ayɛ saa ma wɔn adwene mu nnɔ na esum aduru mu.
Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
22 Wɔka se wɔyɛ anyansafo nanso wɔyɛ nkwaseafo.
Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,
23 Ɛsɛ sɛ wɔsom Onyankopɔn onuonyamfo a ɔte hɔ daa no, wɔfaa nnua ne abo yɛɛ ahoni te sɛ nnomaa, mmoadoma, awɔ ne nnipa som wɔn.
And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.
24 Ɛno nti, Onyankopɔn gyaa wɔn maa afide a efi wɔn koma mu maa wɔne wɔn ho wɔn ho yɛɛ aniwude nso.
Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:
25 Wɔde Onyankopɔn ho nokwasɛm no sesaa atosɛm na wɔsom abɔde sen Ɔbɔade a daa wɔkamfo no no. Amen. (aiōn g165)
Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. (aiōn g165)
26 Esiane saa nti, Onyankopɔn gyaa wɔn maa honam mu akɔnnɔ a ɛyɛ aniwude. Na mpo wɔn mmea fa wɔn yɔnkonom mmea.
For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:
27 Saa ara nso na na mmarima ne mmea nna, na mmom, bɔne akɔnnɔ hyɛɛ wɔn ma wɔne wɔn ho wɔn ho dae, nam so nyaa akatua a ɛsɛ wɔn.
And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.
28 Esiane sɛ nnipa poo Onyankopɔn ho nokware no nti, wɔfaa wɔn adwemmɔne so yɛɛ nneɛma a ɛnsɛ sɛ wɔyɛ mmom.
And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;
29 Amumɔyɛ ahorow nyinaa, bɔne, anibere ne nnebɔne hyɛɛ wɔn ma. Nitan, awudi, akasakasa, asisi ne ɔbra bɔne nso ka ho. Wodii nseku,
Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,
30 kaa nsɛm a ɛmfata faa afoforo ho; wokyi Onyankopɔn; wɔyɛɛ atutuwpɛ, ahantan ne ahomaso. Na daa wodwen sɛ wɔbɛyɛ bɔne. Wɔantie wɔn awofo asɛm.
Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,
31 Na wonni suban; na wonni wɔn bɔhyɛ so; na wonni ayamye ne ahummɔbɔ ma afoforo.
Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:
32 Na wonim sɛ Onyankopɔn mmara kyerɛ sɛ nnipa a wɔtena ase wɔ saa ɔkwan no so no sɛ owu. Nanso wɔnko ara anyɛ saa afide no, na mmom wɔpenee afoforo a wɔyɛɛ saa bɔne koro no ara bi no so.
Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.
