< Nnwom 94 >
1 Awurade, Onyankopɔn a wotɔ were, Onyankopɔn a wotɔ were, hyerɛn.
O LORD God, to whom vengeance belongeth; O God, to whom vengeance belongeth, show thyself.
2 Sɔre, asase so Temmufo, tua ahantanfo ka sɛnea ɛfata wɔn.
Lift up thyself, thou judge of the earth: render a reward to the proud.
3 Awurade, enkosi da bɛn, amumɔyɛfo nnye wɔn ani nkosi da bɛn?
LORD, how long shall the wicked, how long shall the wicked triumph?
4 Wɔkasa ahantan so; ahohoahoa ahyɛ abɔnefo nyinaa ma.
[How long] shall they utter [and] speak hard things? [and] all the workers of iniquity boast themselves?
5 Awurade, wɔdwerɛw wo nkurɔfo; wɔhyɛ wʼagyapade so.
They break in pieces thy people, O LORD, and afflict thy heritage.
6 Wokunkum akunafo ne ananafo; na wodi ayisaa awu.
They slay the widow and the stranger, and murder the fatherless.
7 Wɔka se, “Awurade nhu, Yakob Nyankopɔn ayi nʼani.”
Yet they say, The LORD will not see, neither will the God of Jacob regard [it].
8 Monhwɛ yiye, mo agyimifo a mowɔ nnipa no mu; nkwaseafo, da bɛn na mubehu nyansa?
Understand, ye brutish among the people: and [ye] fools, when will ye be wise?
9 Nea ɔbɔɔ aso no rente asɛm ana? Nea ɔyɛɛ ani no renhu ade ana?
He that planted the ear, shall he not hear? he that formed the eye, shall he not see?
10 Nea ɔteɛteɛ aman so no rentwe aso ana? Nea ɔkyerɛkyerɛ onipa no nnim nyansa ana?
He that chastiseth the heathen, shall he not correct? he that teacheth man knowledge, [shall he not know]?
11 Awurade nim onipa nsusuwii; onim sɛ enkosi hwee.
The LORD knoweth the thoughts of man, that they [are] vanity.
12 Awurade, nhyira ne onipa a woteɛteɛ no so, onipa a wokyerɛ no wo mmara no;
Blessed [is] the man whom thou chastenest, O LORD, and teachest him out of thy law;
13 Woma ɔhome fi amanehunu nna mu, kosi sɛ wobetu amoa ama amumɔyɛfo.
That thou mayest give him rest from the days of adversity, until the pit be digged for the wicked.
14 Awurade rempo ne nkurɔfo; na ɔrennyaw nʼagyapade hɔ da.
For the LORD will not cast off his people, neither will he forsake his inheritance.
15 Atemmu begyina treneeyɛ so bio, na wɔn a wɔn koma mu tew nyinaa bedi so.
But judgment shall return to righteousness: and all the upright in heart shall follow it.
16 Hena na ɔbɛsɔre atia amumɔyɛfo ama me? Hena na ɔbɛsɔre atia abɔnefo ama me?
Who will rise up for me against the evil-doers? [or] who will stand up for me against the workers of iniquity?
17 Sɛ Awurade ammoa me a, anka mekɔɔ owu kommyɛ mu ntɛm so.
Unless the LORD [had been] my help, my soul had almost dwelt in silence.
18 Bere a mekae se, “Me nan rewatiri” no, Awurade, wo dɔ no soo me mu.
When I said, My foot slippeth; thy mercy, O LORD, held me up.
19 Bere a me dadwen dɔɔso no, wʼawerɛkyekye maa me kra abotɔyam.
In the multitude of my thoughts within me, thy comforts delight my soul.
20 Ahengua a porɔwee ahyɛ no mma no ne wo wɔ ayɔnkofa ana? Ahengua a ne hyɛ nsɛm de amanehunu na ɛba no?
Shall the throne of iniquity have fellowship with thee, which frameth mischief by a law?
21 Wɔka bɔ mu tia atreneefo na wɔn a wodi bem no, wobu wɔn kumfɔ.
They assemble themselves against the soul of the righteous, and condemn the innocent blood.
22 Nanso Awurade yɛ mʼaban; na me Nyankopɔn ayɛ ɔbotan a ne mu na minya ahintawee.
But the LORD is my defense; and my God [is] the rock of my refuge.
23 Obetua wɔn nnebɔne no so ka na wɔn amumɔyɛ nti wasɛe wɔn; Awurade yɛn Nyankopɔn bɛsɛe wɔn.
And he will bring upon them their own iniquity, and will cut them off in their own wickedness; [yes], the LORD our God will cut them off.
