< Nnwom 91 >
1 Nea ɔte Ɔsorosoroni no hintabea no biara bɛhome wɔ Otumfo no nwini ase.
He that dwelleth in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
2 Mese Awurade se, “Ɔyɛ me guankɔbea ne mʼabandennen, me Nyankopɔn a mewɔ no mu ahotoso.”
I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust.
3 Ampa ara, obegye wo afi firisumfo afiri ne owuyare mu.
For he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.
4 Ɔde ne ntakra bɛkata wo so; na ne ntaban ase na wubenya guankɔbea; ne nokware bɛyɛ wo nkatabo ne wo kyɛm.
He shall cover thee with his pinions, and under his wings shalt thou take refuge: his truth is a shield and a buckler.
5 Worensuro ɔdasu mu ɔsɛe, anaa bɛmma a etu awia,
Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night, nor for the arrow that flieth by day;
6 anaa owuyare a ɛba sum mu, anaa ɔyaredɔm a ɛsɛe ade wɔ owigyinae bere.
For the pestilence that walketh in darkness, nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.
7 Apem bɛtotɔ wo nkyɛn mu, na mpem du atotɔ wo nifa a, wo de, ɛremmɛn wo.
A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; [but] it shall not come nigh thee.
8 Wʼaniwa nko ara na wode bɛhwɛ na woahu nnebɔneyɛfo asotwe.
Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold, and see the reward of the wicked.
9 Sɛ woka se, “Awurade ne me guankɔbea,” na wode Ɔsorosoroni no hɔ yɛ wo tenabea a,
For thou, O LORD, art my refuge! thou hast made the Most High thy habitation;
10 ɔhaw biara remmunkam wo so, na ɔsɛe biara remmɛn wo ntamadan.
There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy tent.
11 Efisɛ Onyankopɔn bɛsoma nʼabɔfo abɛbɔ wo ho ban na wɔabɛwɛn wo wʼakwan nyinaa mu;
For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.
12 wɔde wɔn nsa bɛma wo so, na wo nan ampem ɔbo.
They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.
13 Wubetiatia gyata ne aprammiri so, wobɛnantew gyataforo ne ɔwɔ so.
Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the serpent shalt thou trample under feet.
14 Awurade ka se, “Esiane sɛ ɔdɔ me nti, megye no; mɛbɔ ne ho ban, efisɛ ogye me din to mu.
Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.
15 Ɔbɛfrɛ me na megye ne so; mɛka ne ho wɔ amanehunu mu, megye no na mahyɛ no anuonyam.
He shall call upon me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble: I will deliver him, and honour him.
16 Mɛma nkwa nna a ɛware amee no na makyerɛ no me nkwagye.”
With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.
