< Nnwom 9 >
1 Wɔde ma dwonkyerɛfo. Wɔto no sɛnea wɔto “Ɔba no wu”. Dawid dwom. Awurade, mefi me koma nyinaa mu ada wo ase. Mɛka wʼanwonwade no nyinaa.
For the end, a Psalm of David, concerning the secrets of the Son. I will give thanks to you, O Lord, with my whole heart; I will recount all your wonderful works.
2 Mɛma mʼani agye na madi ahurusi wɔ wo mu. Mɛto ayeyi dwom ama wo din, Ɔsorosoroni.
I will be glad and exult in you: I will sing to your name, O you Most High.
3 Mʼatamfo san wɔn akyi; wɔtetew hwe, na wowuwu wɔ wʼanim.
When mine enemies are turned back, they shall be feeble and perish at your presence.
4 Woadi mʼasɛm ama me, na menya mʼahofadi; woatena wʼahengua so, abu atɛntrenee.
For you have maintained my cause and my right; you sat on the throne, that judge righteousness.
5 Woatwe amanaman no aso, na woasɛe amumɔyɛfo. Woapepa wɔn din a wɔrenkae wɔn bio.
You have rebuked the nations, and the ungodly one has perished; you have blotted out their name for ever, even for ever and ever.
6 Ɔsɛe a enni awiei ato ɔtamfo no, woatutu wɔn nkuropɔn; na wɔnkae wɔn bio mpo.
The swords of the enemy have failed utterly; and you have destroyed cities: their memorial has been destroyed with a noise,
7 Awurade di hene daa daa; wasi nʼatemmu ahengua.
but the Lord endures for ever: he has prepared his throne for judgement.
8 Ɔde trenee bebu wiase atɛn; ɔde atɛntrenee bedi nnipa no so.
And he will judge the world in righteousness, he will judge the nations in uprightness.
9 Awurade yɛ guankɔbea ma wɔn a wodi wɔn nya no, ɔyɛ abandennen wɔ ahohia mmere mu.
The Lord also is become a refuge for the poor, a seasonable help, in affliction.
10 Wɔn a wonim wo din no de wɔn ho bɛto wo so, efisɛ, wo Awurade, wunnyaw obiara a ɔhwehwɛ wo no mu da.
And let them that know your name hope in you: for you, O Lord, have not failed them that diligently seek you.
11 Monto ayeyi dwom mma Awurade a ɔte ahengua so wɔ Sion; mompae mu nka nea wayɛ wɔ amanaman no mu.
Sing praises to the Lord, who dwells in Sion: declare his dealings amongst the nations.
12 Na ɔkae nea ɔtɔ mogya so were no; ommu nʼani ngu ɔbrɛfo sufrɛ so.
For he remembered them, [in] making inquisition for blood: he has not forgotten the supplication of the poor.
13 Awurade, hwɛ sɛnea mʼatamfo teetee me! Hu me mmɔbɔ na yi me fi owu apon ano,
Have mercy upon me, O Lord; look upon my affliction [which I suffer] of mine enemies, you that lift me up from the gates of death:
14 na matumi apae mu aka wʼayeyi wɔ Ɔbabea Sion apon ano, na madi ahurusi wɔ wo nkwagye no mu hɔ.
that I may declare all your praises in the gates of the daughter of Sion: I will exult in your salvation.
15 Amanaman mufo atɔ amoa a wɔatu no mu; afiri a wosum hintaw no ayi wɔn anan.
The heathen are caught in the destruction which they planned: in the very snare which they hid is their foot taken.
16 Awurade atɛntrenee da no adi; amumɔyɛfo nsa ano adwuma ayi wɔn.
The Lord is known as executing judgements: the sinner is taken in the works of his hands. (A song of, Pause)
17 Amumɔyɛfo san kɔ ɔda mu, amanaman a wɔn werɛ fi Onyankopɔn nyinaa. (Sheol )
Let sinners be driven away into Hades, [even] all the nations that forget God. (Sheol )
18 Nanso ɛnyɛ daa na ne werɛ befi ohiani, anaasɛ mmɔborɔni anidaso bɛyera korakora.
For the poor shall not be forgotten for ever: the patience of the needy ones shall not perish for ever.
19 Sɔre! Awurade, mma ɔdesani nni nkonim, bu amanaman no atɛn wɔ wʼanim.
Arise, O Lord, let not man prevail: let the heathen be judged before you.
20 Bɔ wɔn hu, Awurade; na ma wonhu sɛ, wɔyɛ adesa bi kɛkɛ.
Appoint, O Lord, a lawgiver over them: let the heathen know that they are men. (Pause)
