1 Koramma dwom. Awurade Asafo, wʼatenae hɔ yɛ ahomeka!
How yadid ·lovely· are your dwellings, Adonai Tzva'ot [Yahweh Commander of heaven’s armies]!
2 Me kra pere, mpo ɛtɔ beraw, sɛ ɔbɛkɔ Awurade adiwo; me koma ne me honam teɛ mu frɛ Onyankopɔn teasefo.
My soul longs, and even faints for the courts of Adonai. My heart and my flesh cry out for the Elohim Chayim [Living God].
3 Mpo akasanoma anya ofi, na asomfena nso anwen ne berebuw, faako a obesow ne mma wɔ beae bi a ɛbɛn wʼafɔremuka, Awurade Asafo, me Hene ne me Nyankopɔn.
Yes, the sparrow has found a home, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may have her young, near your altars, Adonai Tzva'ot [Yahweh Commander of heaven’s armies], my King, and my God.
4 Nhyira nka wɔn a wɔte wo fi; na wɔkamfo wo din daa.
Blessed are those who dwell in your house. They are always praising you. (Selah) ·contemplation with musical interlude·.
5 Nhyira nka wɔn a wɔwɔ wo mu ahoɔden, na wɔde wɔn koma fi akwantu ase kɔhwehwɛ wo.
Blessed are those whose strength is in you; who have set their hearts on a pilgrimage.
6 Sɛ wɔfa Baka Bon no mu a wɔma hɔ yɛ nsuwansuwa; asusow bere nsu so taataa hɔ.
Passing through the valley of Weeping, they make it a place of springs. Yes, the autumn rain covers it with blessings.
7 Wɔkɔ no ahoɔden so bere nyinaa, kosi sɛ wɔn mu biara bepue Onyankopɔn anim wɔ Sion.
They go from strength to strength. Everyone of them appears before God in Zion [Mountain ridge, Marking].
8 Asafo Awurade Nyankopɔn, tie me mpaebɔ; Yakob Nyankopɔn, yɛ aso ma me.
Adonai, Elohim Tzva'ot [Yahweh, God Commander of heaven’s armies], sh'ma ·hear obey·, my prayer. Give ear to me, God of Jacob [Supplanter]. (Selah) ·contemplation with musical interlude·.
9 Ao, Onyankopɔn, hwɛ yɛn nkatabo; fa ahummɔbɔ hwɛ nea woasra no ngo no.
Behold, God our shield, look at the face of your anointed.
10 Wʼadiwo hɔ da koro tena ye sen nnafua apem wɔ baabi foforo; mepɛ sɛ mɛyɛ ɔponanohwɛfo wɔ Onyankopɔn fi sen sɛ mɛtena amumɔyɛfo ntamadan mu.
For a day in your courts is better than a thousand. I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of ethical wickedness.
11 Efisɛ Awurade Nyankopɔn yɛ owia ne kyɛm; Awurade hu mmɔbɔ na ɔhyɛ anuonyam; ɔmmfa ade pa biara nkame wɔn a wɔteɛ.
For Adonai God is a sun and a shield. Adonai will give chen ·grace· and kavod ·weighty glory·. He withholds no good thing from those who walk blamelessly.
12 Asafo Awurade, nhyira nka onipa a ɔde ne ho to wo so. Wɔde ma dwonkyerɛfo.
Adonai Tzva'ot [Yahweh Commander of heaven’s armies], blessed is the man who trusts in you.
