< Nnwom 83 >
1 Asaf Dwom. Ao, Onyankopɔn, ntena hɔ komm; mmua wʼano, Ao, Onyankopɔn, keka wo ho.
A song, [or] Psalm of Asaph. Keep not thou silence, O God: hold not thy peace, and be not still, O God.
2 Hwɛ sɛnea wʼatamfo keka wɔn ho fa, na wɔn a wɔmpɛ wʼasɛm nso ama wɔn ti so.
For lo, thy enemies make a tumult: and they that hate thee have lifted up the head.
3 Wɔde anifere repam atia wo nkurɔfo, wɔrepam atia wɔn a wo koma da wɔn so no.
They have taken crafty counsel against thy people, and consulted against thy hidden ones.
4 Wɔka se, “Mommra na yɛnsɛe wɔn sɛ ɔman, sɛnea wɔrenkae Israel din bio.”
They have said, Come, and let us cut them off from [being] a nation; that the name of Israel may be no more in remembrance.
5 Wɔde adwene koro bɔ pɔw; na wɔpam tia wo,
For they have consulted together with one consent: they are confederate against thee,
6 Edom ntamadan ne Ismaelfo, Moabfo ne Hagarfo,
The tabernacles of Edom, and the Ishmaelites; of Moab, and the Hagarenes;
7 Gebalfo ne Amonfo ne Amalekfo, Filistifo ne Tirofo.
Gebal, and Ammon, and Amalek; the Philistines with the inhabitants of Tyre;
8 Asiria mpo akɔka wɔn ho de wɔn ahoɔden akɔhyɛ Lot asefo de no mu den.
Assur also is joined with them: they have helped the children of Lot. (Selah)
9 Yɛ wɔn sɛnea woyɛɛ Midian, sɛnea woyɛɛ Sisera ne Yabin wɔ asubɔnten Kison ho no,
Do to them as [to] the Midianites; as [to] Sisera, as [to] Jabin, at the brook of Kison:
10 wɔn a wɔsɛe wɔ En-Dor na wɔdan nwura no.
[Who] perished at En-dor: they became [as] dung for the earth.
11 Yɛ wɔn atitiriw sɛ Oreb ne Seeb, ne wɔn mmapɔmma nyinaa sɛ Seba ne Salmuna,
Make their nobles like Oreb, and like Zeeb: yes, all their princes as Zebah, and as Zalmunna:
12 a wɔkae se, “Momma yɛmfa Onyankopɔn adidibea nsase no no.”
Who said, Let us take to ourselves the houses of God in possession.
13 Me Nyankopɔn, yɛ wɔn sɛ mfɛtɛ mu mfutuma, sɛ ntɛtɛ a mframa bɔ gu.
O my God, make them like a wheel; as the stubble before the wind.
14 Sɛnea ogya hyew kwae, na ogyatannaa so nkoko mu hyew no no,
As the fire burneth a wood, and as the flame setteth the mountains on fire;
15 saa ara na fa wʼahum taa wɔn na fa wo mframa a ano yɛ den no hunahuna wɔn.
So persecute them with thy tempest, and make them afraid with thy storm.
16 Ma animguase nka wɔn, na ama nnipa ahwehwɛ wo din akyi kwan, Awurade.
Fill their faces with shame; that they may seek thy name, O LORD.
17 Ma wɔn anim ngu ase na wonni yaw; ma wonwuwu wɔ animguase mu.
Let them be confounded and troubled for ever; yes, let them be put to shame, and perish:
18 Ma wonhu sɛ wo a wo din de Awurade no, wo nko ara ne Ɔsorosoroni wɔ asase nyinaa so.
That [men] may know that thou, whose name alone [is] JEHOVAH, [art] the most high over all the earth.
