1 Wɔde ma dwonkyerɛfo. Wɔde ma Yedutun. Asaf dwom. Misu mefrɛɛ Onyankopɔn srɛɛ mmoa; misu mefrɛɛ no sɛ ontie me.
“To the chief musician on Jeduthun, by Assaph a psalm.” [I lift up] my voice unto God, and I cry; [I lilt up] my voice unto God: do then give ear unto me.
2 Bere a mewɔ ahohiahia mu no, mehwehwɛɛ Awurade; metrɛw me nsa a ɛmpa abaw mu anadwo na me kra ampene sɛ wɔbɛkyekye ne werɛ.
On the day of my distress I sought the Lord; in the night my hand was stretched out, and did not cease: my soul refused to be comforted.
3 Onyankopɔn mekaee wo, na misii apini; medwenee, na me honhom tɔɔ beraw.
I think of God, and moan: I reflect, and my spirit is overwhelmed. (Selah)
4 Woamma mʼani ankum; amanehunu dodow nti, mantumi ankasa.
Thou holdest my eyes awake: I am troubled and I cannot speak.
5 Medwenee nna a atwam no ho, teteete mfe no ho;
I think over the days of old, the years of ancient times.
6 mekaee me nnwom a na meto no anadwo. Me koma dwenee ho na me honhom bisae se:
I call to remembrance my song in the night; with my own heart I reflect: and my spirit maketh diligent search.
7 “Enti, Awurade bɛpo yɛn daa? Ɔrenhu yɛn mmɔbɔ bio ana?
Will the Lord cast me off for ever? and will he never more give his favor again?
8 Nʼadɔe a ɛnsa da atu ayera koraa ana? Na ne bɔhyɛ no, amma mu koraa ana?
Is his kindness spent for ever? is his promise come to an end for all generations?
9 Onyankopɔn werɛ afi sɛ ɔbɛyɛ mmɔborɔhunufo ana? Ɔde abufuw atwe nʼayamhyehye no asan ana?”
Hath God forgotten to be gracious? or hath he shut up in anger his mercies? (Selah)
10 Afei misusuwii se, “Eyi de, mɛsrɛ: mfe a Ɔsorosoroni no teɛɛ ne nsa nifa mu no.”
And I said, This shall be my entreaty, [for] the years of the right hand of the Most High.
11 Mɛkae nneɛma a Awurade ayɛ; yiw, mɛkae wo tete anwonwade no.
I will remember the deeds of the Lord; for I will remember out of ancient times thy wonders.
12 Mɛdwene wo nnwuma nyinaa ho na masusuw wo nneyɛe akɛse nyinaa ho.
I will meditate also of all thy work, and on thy deeds will I reflect.
13 Onyankopɔn, wʼakwan yɛ kronkron. Onyame bɛn na ɔso sɛ yɛn Nyankopɔn?
O God, in holiness is thy way: where is there a god so great as God?
14 Wone Onyankopɔn a woyɛ anwonwade; wokyerɛ wo tumi wɔ aman mu.
Thou art the God that dost wonders: thou hast made known among the people thy strength.
15 Wode wo tumi nsa no gyee wo nkurɔfo, Yakob ne Yosef asefo no.
Thou hast redeemed with [a mighty] arm thy people, the sons of Jacob and Joseph. (Selah)
16 Onyankopɔn, nsu no huu wo, nsu no huu wo na wɔpopoe; bun no mpo ho wosowee.
The waters saw thee, O God, the waters saw thee; they shook: also the depths trembled.
17 Omununkum tɔɔ nsu, aprannaa gyigyee wɔ ɔsoro; na wo bɛmma paa gya dii akɔneaba.
The clouds poured out water; the skies sent forth thunder: also thy arrows sped along.
18 Wʼaprannaa bobɔɔ mu wɔ mfɛtɛ no mu, wʼanyinam hyerɛn wiase; asase popoe, na ɛwosowee.
The voice of thy thunder was in the whirlwind; lightnings gave light to the world; the earth trembled and quaked,
19 Wode wo kwan faa po mu, wode faa nsu kɛse mu, nanso wɔanhu wʼanammɔn.
Through the sea led thy way, and thy path was through mighty waters, and thy footsteps could not be known.
20 Wonam Mose ne Aaron abasa so, dii wo nkurɔfo anim sɛ nguankuw.
Thou didst lead like a flock thy people by means of Moses and Aaron.
