< Nnwom 72 >
1 Salomo dwom. Ao, Onyankopɔn, fa wʼatɛntrenee dom ɔhene no, na fa wo trenee ma ɔhene babarima.
[By Solomon.] God, give the king your justice; your righteousness to the royal son.
2 Ɔde trenee bebu wo nkurɔfo atɛn, obebu wo nkurɔfo a wɔrehu amane no atɛntrenee.
He will judge your people with righteousness, and your poor with justice.
3 Mmepɔw no de yiyedi bɛbrɛ nnipa no, nkoko no de trenee bɛba.
The mountains shall bring prosperity to the people. The hills bring the fruit of righteousness.
4 Ɔbɛko ama nnipa no mu amanehunufo na wagye wɔn a wonni bi mma nkwa; ɔbɛdwerɛw nhyɛsofo.
He will judge the poor of the people. He will save the children of the needy, and will break the oppressor in pieces.
5 Owia ne ɔsram da so wɔ hɔ yi wobesuro wo awo ntoatoaso nyinaa mu.
They shall fear you while the sun endures; and as long as the moon, throughout all generations.
6 Ɔbɛyɛ sɛ osu a ɛtɔ gu asase a wɔadɔw so so, te sɛ obosu a egugu asase so.
He will come down like rain on the mown grass, as showers that water the earth.
7 Atreneefo benyin frɔmfrɔm wɔ ne bere so; yiyedi bebu so akosi da a ɔsram nni hɔ bio.
In his days, the righteous shall flourish, and abundance of peace, until the moon is no more.
8 Obedi hene afi po akosi po, afi Asubɔnten Efrata akosi asase ano.
He shall have dominion also from sea to sea, from the River to the farthest parts of the earth.
9 Sare so mmusua bɛkotow nʼanim na nʼatamfo adi mfutuma.
Those who dwell in the wilderness shall bow before him. His enemies shall lick the dust.
10 Tarsis ne mpoano ahemfo a wɔwɔ akyirikyiri de sonkahiri bɛbrɛ no; Saba ne Seba ahemfo de ayɛyɛde bɛbrɛ no.
The kings of Tarshish and of the islands will bring tribute. The kings of Sheba and Seba shall offer gifts.
11 Ahemfo nyinaa bɛkotow no, amanaman nyinaa bɛsom no.
Yes, all kings shall fall down before him. All nations shall serve him.
12 Na obegye mmɔborɔfo a wosu frɛ no, ne amanehunufo a wonni ɔboafo.
For he will deliver the needy when he cries; the poor, who has no helper.
13 Obehu wɔn a wɔayɛ mmrɛw ne ahiafo mmɔbɔ na wagye ahiafo nkwa.
He will have pity on the poor and needy. He will save the souls of the needy.
14 Obegye wɔn afi nhyɛso ne akakabensɛm ase, efisɛ wɔn mogya som bo wɔ nʼanim.
He will redeem their soul from oppression and violence. Their blood will be precious in his sight.
15 Ɔhene nkwa so! ma wɔmfa sikakɔkɔɔ mfi Seba mmrɛ no. Ma nnipa mmɔ mpae mma no na wonhyira no da mu nyinaa.
And he shall live, and the gold of Sheba shall be given to him. Men shall pray for him continually. He shall bless him all day long.
16 Aburow mmu so wɔ asase no so nyinaa; nnuan mmu so wɔ nkoko so, ma nʼaba mmɔ sɛ Lebanon; na enyin sɛ mfuw so sare.
There shall be abundance of grain throughout the land. Its fruit sways like Lebanon. Let it flourish, thriving like the grass of the field.
17 Ne din bɛtena hɔ daa; ɛntena hɔ nkyɛ sɛ owia. Wɔbɛfa no so ahyira amanaman no, na wɔbɛfrɛ no nhyira.
His name endures forever. His name continues as long as the sun. Men shall be blessed by him. All nations will call him blessed.
18 Nhyira nka Awurade Nyankopɔn, Israel Nyankopɔn! Ɔno nko ara na ɔyɛ anwonwade.
Praise be to the LORD, the God of Israel, who alone does marvelous deeds.
19 Nhyira nka ne din a anuonyam ahyɛ no ma no daa daa. Ma nʼanuonyam nhyɛ wiase nyinaa ma.
Blessed be his glorious name forever. Let the whole earth be filled with his glory. Amen and amen.
20 Yisai ba Dawid mpaebɔ no awiei ni.
This ends the prayers by David, the son of Jesse.
