< Nnwom 63 >
1 Dawid dwom. Bere a ɔwɔ Yuda Sare so no na ɔtoe. Wo, Onyankopɔn, ne me Nyankopɔn Mehwehwɛ wo anibere so; wo ho sukɔm de me kra, me nipadua ani agyina wo, wɔ asase a awo na asade nni mu so, faako a nsu nni.
A Psalm of David, when he was in the wilderness of Idumea. O God, my God, I cry to you early; my soul has thirsted for you: how often has my flesh [longed] after you, in a barren and trackless and dry land!
2 Mahu wo wɔ Kronkronbea hɔ mahu wo tumi ne wʼanuonyam.
Thus have I appeared before you in the sanctuary, that I might see your power and your glory.
3 Esiane sɛ wʼadɔe di mu sen nkwa nti mʼanofafa bɛhyɛ wo anuonyam.
For your mercy is better than life: my lips shall praise you.
4 Sɛ mete ase yi, mɛkamfo wo, na wo din mu na mɛma me nsa so.
Thus will I bless you during my life: I will lift up my hands in your name.
5 Me kra bɛmee sɛnea wadi aduan papa bi; mede anofafa a ɛto dwom beyi wo ayɛ.
Let my soul be filled as with marrow and fatness; and [my] joyful lips shall praise your name.
6 Meda me mpa so a, mekae wo. Anadwo dasu mu nyinaa, midwen wo ho.
Forasmuch as I have remembered you on my bed: in the early seasons I have meditated on you.
7 Efisɛ wone me boafo, wo ntaban ase nwini mu na mɛto dwom.
For you have been my helper, and in the shelter of your wings will I rejoice.
8 Me kra bata wo ho; na wo nsa nifa kura me mu.
My soul has kept very close behind you: your right hand has upheld me.
9 Wɔn a wɔpɛ me akum me no bɛsɛe; wɔbɛkɔ asase ase tɔnn.
But they vainly sought after my soul; they shall go into the lowest parts o the earth.
10 Wɔbɛdan wɔn ama afoa na wɔbɛyɛ aduan ama sakraman.
They shall be delivered up to the power of the sword; they shall be portions for foxes.
11 Nanso ɔhene bedi ahurusi wɔ Onyankopɔn mu; wɔn a wɔka ntam wɔ Onyankopɔn din mu nyinaa bɛkamfo no, na wobemua atorofo ano. Wɔde ma dwonkyerɛfo.
But the king shall rejoice in God; every one that swears by him shall be praised; for the mouth of them that speak unjust things has been stopped.
