1 Dawid dwom a ɔtoo bere a oguan fii Saulo nkyɛn kɔɔ ɔbodan no mu. Hu me mmɔbɔ, me Onyankopɔn, hu me mmɔbɔ, na wo mu na me kra nya guankɔbea. Wo ntaban nwini ase na mɛpɛ guankɔbea kosi sɛ amanehunu no betwa mu.
[For the Chief Musician. To the tune of "Do Not Destroy." A poem by David, when he fled from Saul, in the cave.] Be merciful to me, God, be merciful to me, for my soul takes refuge in you. Yes, in the shadow of your wings, I will take refuge, until disaster has passed.
2 Misu frɛ Onyankopɔn, Ɔsorosoroni no; Onyankopɔn a ɔma ne pɛ ba mu wɔ me ho.
I cry out to God Most High, to God who accomplishes my requests for me.
3 Ɔsoma fi ɔsoro hɔ begye me nkwa, ɔka wɔn a wɔtaa me anibere so no anim; Onyankopɔn soma ne dɔ ne ne nokware.
He will send from heaven, and save me, he rebukes the one who is pursuing me. (Selah) God will send out his loving kindness and his truth.
4 Gyata atwa me ho ahyia; meda mmoa a wɔwe nam amono mu, nnipa a wɔn se te sɛ mpeaw ne mmɛmma na wɔn tɛkrɛma te sɛ afoa a ɛyɛ nnam.
My soul is among lions. I lie among those who are set on fire, even the sons of men, whose teeth are spears and arrows, and their tongue a sharp sword.
5 Onyankopɔn, ɛsɛ sɛ wɔma wo so tra ɔsoro, na ama wʼanuonyam aba asase nyinaa so.
Be exalted, God, above the heavens. Let your glory be above all the earth.
6 Wɔtrɛw asau mu de sum mʼanan afiri, ahohiahia brɛɛ me ase. Wotuu amoa wɔ me kwan mu, nanso wɔn ankasa akɔtotɔ mu.
They have prepared a net for my steps. My soul is bowed down. They dig a pit before me. They fall into its midst themselves. (Selah)
7 Ao, Onyankopɔn, me koma agyina pintinn, me koma yɛ pintinn; mɛto dwom na mayi wo ayɛ.
My heart is steadfast, God, my heart is steadfast. I will sing, yes, I will sing praises.
8 Me kra nyan! Sanku ne bɛnta, munnyan! Me nso menyan anɔpahema.
Wake up, my glory. Wake up, psaltery and harp. I will wake up the dawn.
9 Awurade, mɛkamfo wo wɔ aman no mu; mɛto wo ho nnwom wɔ nnipa mu.
I will give thanks to you, LORD, among the peoples. I will sing praises to you among the nations.
10 Wʼadɔe so, ɛkorɔn sen ɔsoro; wo nokwaredi du wim.
For your great loving kindness reaches to the heavens, and your truth to the skies.
11 Ao, Onyankopɔn, wɔmma wo so mmoro ɔsoro; ma wʼanuonyam nkata asase nyinaa so. Wɔde ma dwonkyerɛfo. Wɔto no sɛnea wɔto “Mma Wɔnnsɛe No” sanku nne so.
Be exalted, God, above the heavens. Let your glory be over all the earth.
