< Nnwom 53 >
1 Dawid dwom. Ɔkwasea ka wɔ ne koma mu se, “Onyankopɔn bi nni hɔ.” Porɔwee adi wɔn, na wɔn akwan yɛ animguase. Obiara nni hɔ a ɔyɛ ade pa.
For the Chief Musician. To the tune of “Mahalath.” A contemplation by David. The fool has said in his heart, “There is no God.” They are corrupt, and have done abominable iniquity. There is no one who does good.
2 Onyankopɔn fi ɔsoro hwɛ adesamma wɔ fam sɛ obehu wɔn mu bi a wɔwɔ ntease, anaa ebinom a wɔhwehwɛ Onyankopɔn.
God looks down from heaven on the children of men, to see if there are any who understood, who seek after God.
3 Nanso nnipa nyinaa atwe wɔn ho afi Onyankopɔn ho; wɔn nyinaa ayɛ bɔne. Obiara nni hɔ a ɔyɛ papa. Ɔbaako mpo nni hɔ.
Every one of them has gone back. They have become filthy together. There is no one who does good, no, not one.
4 Enti abɔnefo rensua nyansa ana? Wɔwe me nkurɔfo sɛnea nnipa di aduan. Wonnsu mfrɛ Onyankopɔn.
Have the workers of iniquity no knowledge, who eat up my people as they eat bread, and do not call on God?
5 Wɔn na wɔwɔ hɔ a wɔabɔ huboa wɔ faako a ehu nni. Onyankopɔn hwetee wɔn a wɔtow hyɛɛ wo so no nnompe mu; wuguu wɔn anim ase, efisɛ Onyankopɔn buu wɔn animtiaa.
There they were in great fear, where no fear was, for God has scattered the bones of him who encamps against you. You have put them to shame, because God has rejected them.
6 Ao, Israel nkwagye mfi Sion mmra! Awurade bɛsan de ne nkurɔfo agyapade ama wɔn. Na Yakob adi ahurusi, na Israel ani agye! Wɔde ma dwonkyerɛfo. Wɔbɔ no sanku so.
Oh that the salvation of Israel would come out of Zion! When God brings back his people from captivity, then Jacob shall rejoice, and Israel shall be glad.
