< Nnwom 52 >
1 Dawid “maskil” dwom. Ɔtoo bere a Edomni Doeg bɛka kyerɛɛ Saulo se, “Dawid akɔ Ahimelek fi” no. Ɔkɛse, adɛn nti na wohoahoa wo ho wɔ wo bɔne ho? Adɛn nti na wohoahoa wo ho da mu nyinaa, wo a woyɛ animguasede wɔ Onyankopɔn ani so?
For the Chief Musician. Maschil of David: when Doeg the Edomite came and told Saul, and said unto him, David is come to the house of Ahimelech. Why boastest thou thyself in mischief, O mighty man? the mercy of God [endureth] continually.
2 Wo tɛkrɛma bɔ ɔsɛe ho pɔw; ɛte sɛ oyiwan a ano yɛ nam yiye. Wo a wutwa nkontompo nko ara.
Thy tongue deviseth very wickedness; like a sharp razor, working deceitfully.
3 Wʼani gye bɔne ho sen papa, wopɛ atoro sen sɛ wobɛka nokware.
Thou lovest evil more than good; and lying rather than to speak righteousness. (Selah)
4 Wodɔ asɛm biara a ɛde ɔhaw ba, wo tɛkrɛma daadaafo!
Thou lovest all devouring words, O thou deceitful tongue.
5 Ampa ara Onyankopɔn de ɔsɛe a enni awiei bɛbrɛ wo; ɔbɛtwe wo afi wo ntamadan mu na watetew wo mu; Ɔbɛtɔre wʼase wɔ ateasefo asase so.
God shall likewise destroy thee for ever, he shall take thee up, and pluck thee out of thy tent, and root thee out of the land of the living. (Selah)
6 Atreneefo behu eyi na wɔasuro; wɔbɛserew no na wɔaka se,
The righteous also shall see [it], and fear, and shall laugh at him, [saying],
7 “Hwɛ, onipa no ni, nea wamfa Onyankopɔn anyɛ nʼabandennen na mmom ɔde ne ho too nʼahonya dodow so, na onyaa ahoɔden de sɛee afoforo no!”
Lo, this is the man that made not God his strength; but trusted in the abundance of his riches, and strengthened himself in his wickedness.
8 Nanso mete sɛ ngodua a ɛrenyin wɔ Onyankopɔn fi: mede me ho to Onyankopɔn dɔ a ɛnsa da no so daa nyinaa.
But as for me, I am like a green olive tree in the house of God: I trust in the mercy of God for ever and ever.
9 Meyi wo ayɛ daa wɔ nea woayɛ nti; wo din so na mʼani bɛda, efisɛ eye. Meyi wo ayɛ wɔ wʼahotefo anim. Wɔde ma dwonkyerɛfo. Wɔde “mahalat” sanku nne na ɛto.
I will give thee thanks for ever, because thou hast done it: and I will wait on thy name, for it is good, in the presence of thy saints.
